Where most fonts are available in varying weights, 52-Kfx is a family consisting of 3 heights; High, Mid and Low. These offer the typographer a full palette, Low is readable for setting copy while at the opposite end High is better suited for display—names, headlines and logotypes. 52-Kfx has a sophisticated and elegant period feel with clean, modern lines that remain relevant for contemporary application. Exaggerated ascenders and descenders of the lowercase and a tall cap-height give it a lofty stature while the low x-height keeps characters grounded. The spacing and lyrical rhythm are perfectly in sync and epitomized by the fluidity seen in the ligatures.

The Raphael of Flowers is what they called Pierre-Joseph Redouté a couple hundred years ago. The Belgian native became famous in France, where he painted floral watercolors for both Marie Antoinnette and Empress Josephine. But what cemented his legacy was his perfection of a stipple engraving technique that brought his art to the masses. Botanical Scribe is modeled after the neat, cursive hand-inscribed legends on these antique prints. Because it simulates handlettering, the font retains a warm, organic quality not seen in fancy modern scripts while remaining both elegant and legible. (Its many ligatures lends to this authenticity.) Good for formal invitations or historical simulations.

Nantua Flava XL is a display font by heart. It's preferably seen on posters or flyers. It's inspired by the Op Art style of lettering in the USA from the 1960s and 70s. Suchow was developed from a hand lettered storybook title by Willy Pogany. It's designed to give the feel of the Far East, with character shapes reminiscent of oriental brush lettering. The look of the characters is typical of lettering often used around the turn of the century for oriental-themed advertising and decoration, but not seen very often in contemporary use. The full version includes an expanded character set.

Being a lefty makes it challenging to write in cursive. Unlike righthanders who pull the pencil across the page, lefties must push the pencil as they write. As a result, the letterforms created by pushing instead of pulling the implement are different from each other. The lefty’s cursive script is seen here in Yellabelly, the fontified version of Chank Diesel’s left-handed handwriting. This one’s named after a cowardly cowboy.

We've all seen the informational markings on commercial driveways or roadways instructing us which way to turn, where to park, etc. They are usually in stencil lettering 16 inches or taller, with compressed letters that make the horizontal strokes look slightly thicker than the vertical ones. By condensing the lettering in Narrow Stencil JNL by 20 percent, the result is Driveway Stencil JNL - a digital emulation of those painted road markings.

Geometric sans fonts in the Bauhaus tradition were the inspiration for the design of FF Mark®, for example the Universal font by Herbert Bayer, Erbar® Grotesk, Kabel®, Neuzeit Grotesk and of course Paul Renner's Futura®. From an aesthetic point of view, FF Mark is a descendant of these classics of German typeface design that intends to meet the needs of modern communication. Hannes von Döhren and Christoph Koeberlin had the support of the entire FontFont Type Department in the design of FF Mark, including Erik Spiekermann, who took over the artistic direction of the project. The teamwork resulted in carefully planned, balanced forms, which are responsible for the harmonious overall impression of the font. The capitals are not based on Roman square capitals; rather, they have a uniformly wide letter form in a comfortable ratio to the x-height. Thanks to the x-height, which is significantly larger compared to the historical models, FF Mark is also very legible in small sizes. This makes it a very flexible font in terms of its range of applications. A contrast in the stroke width is barely noticeable. At the same time, light modulation supports readability, especially in the bold styles in small sizes. The uniform line ends are obvious for a contemporary sans family nowadays (unlike some of the historical precedents, which evolved over years). Other details from the predecessors are consciously maintained and provide for added individuality in FF Mark. For example, the limbs in the uppercase "K" and "R" are offset slightly from the stem. K-Type’s ‘Banks & Miles’ fonts are inspired by the geometric monoline lettering created for the British Post Office in 1970 by London design company Banks & Miles, a project initiated and supervised by partner John Miles, and which included ‘Double Line’ and ‘Single Line’ alphabets. The new digital typeface is a reworking and extension of both alphabets. Banks & Miles Double Line is provided in three weights – Light, Regular and Dark – variations achieved by adjusting the width of the inline. Banks & Miles Single Line develops the less used companion sans into a three weight family – Regular, Medium and Bold – each with an optically corrected oblique. Although the ‘Banks & Miles Double Line’ and ‘Banks & Miles Single Line’ fonts are based on the original Post Office letterforms, glyphs have been drawn from scratch and include numerous adjustments and impertinent alterations, such as narrowing the overly wide Z and shortening the leg of the K. Several disparities exist between the Post Office Double and Single Line styles, and K-Type has attempted to secure greater consistency between the two. For instance, a wide apex on the Double Line’s lowercase w is made pointed to match the uppercase W and the Single Line’s W/w. Also, the gently sloping hook of Single Line’s lowercase j is adopted for both families. The original Single Line’s R and k, which were incongruously simplified, are drawn in their more remarkable Double Line forms, and whilst the new Single Line fonts are modestly condensed where appropriate, rounded letters retain the essentially circular form of the Double Line. Many characters that were not part of the original project, such as @, ß, #, and currency symbols, have been designed afresh, and a full set of Latin Extended-A characters is included. The new fonts are a celebration of distinctive features like the delightful teardrop-shaped bowl of a,b,d,g,p and q, and a general level of elegance not always achieved by inline typefaces. The Post Office Double Line alphabet was used from the early 1970s, in different colours to denote the various parts of the Post Office business which included telecommunications, counter services and the Royal Mail. Even after the Post Office was split into separate businesses in the 1980s, Post Office Counters and Royal Mail continued use of the lettering, and a version can still be seen within the Royal Mail cruciform logo.

PT Root is a sans serif with 10 weights and a variable version. Its character set includes extended Latin and extended Cyrillic, three arrow variants, fractions, index numbers and letters. PT Root automatically lifts dashes and brackets with the case change.
