Yuli is my daughter - she was born on February 13th, 2014. I named this font after her, because there are some similarities. Both are bouncy and happy, playful and quirky, funny and happy - and above all: cute and cuddly. Yuli font was loosely based on Bodoni and Spumoni - two typefaces I like a lot. Yuli speaks a lot of languages.

ArchiLogo is not a regular outline-font. It has a stencil element to it and it’s a kind of indirect, because the font is basically the space between the lines. You have to read between the lines, so to speak. It’s like one of the key elements in architecture: the space between the walls. Here’s where type design meets architecture! The new version, ArchiLogo 3.0, has been improved slightly and 13 glyphs have been added to a total of 85 characters. It is still a free font. The concept for Vista began when I sketched a few characters in a notebook while staying in Sumatra on a one month holiday. I wanted to design a typeface for text and display that would retain some of the characteristics of the idiosyncratic shop signs that surrounded me in Sumatra. - Xavier Dupré The result is a comprehensive family spanning six weights, complete with small caps and lively alternate forms, striking a healthy balance between functionality and expressiveness. Trade Journal JNL and its oblique counterpart are derived from a classic grotesk sans face from the 1800s. Despite the 'Grotesk' style name, the font design is actually quite pleasing to the eye and a nice alternative to many of the sterile sans serif faces of today.

BARKLEY is a messy pencil drawn display font. It has over 200 glyphs and several variations on the standard alphabet and those extra pesky foreign features. I wanted it to look messy and rough but also with a little heart. Buy it, I know I might.

This is "Thinker," a new font designed by Peachcreme. It has a rough look, giving the impression that it was scrawled down in a hasty and disorganised manner by hand with a pencil. Plus, it comes with a bonus set of hand-drawn graphics and alternate letters.

Jill Bell's typefaces are energetic, highly decorative, and refreshingly unpredictable. Some are friendly and childlike, while others are rough and nervous. Her latest creation is ITC Swank, a connected script whose shabby-chic" sophistication communicates a worn elegance. Bell begins the design process "with black stuff on white paper," she explains, preferring to draw letters before she digitizes them. Often the inspiration for her typefaces comes from a piece of hand-lettering. "Bruno began as a reminder to buy cat food," she says, "and ITC Swank started out as a small bit of lettering for Wurlitzer Pianos." Bell finds that working with blocks of lettering is a good start for script typefaces. "If I'm drawing a script typeface, I have to write out sentences in the letters first," she explains. "Drawing each letter separately doesn't establish the flow and spontaneity that scripts deserve." Bell's newest design is ITC Swank. It's a somewhat tattered formal script with definite links to early copperplate scripts. Though probably not for wedding invitations, Swank's elegant underpinnings are evident, with its slightly narrow proportions and a baseline that can best be called "bouncy." Graphic designers will appreciate the abundance of swash letters, making it easy to create distinctive headlines and short blocks of copy. Bell has a fondness for the "open, genuine" quality of Chinese and Japanese calligraphy. "Eastern styles incorporate the natural flow of the hand," she says. "Natural, human qualities shine through. Mistakes are accepted, not scorned as in the 'white-out' Western culture." This philosophy is evident in Bell's own designs. Whether it's ITC Clover 's carefree spirit, the slightly spooky Hollyweird, Caribbean 's< rustic charm or the weathered elegance of ITC Swank, there is a natural honesty in her work."

ZABARS is a full font developed from the six characters in the spectacular logo of the Zabar’s speciality foodstore in New York City. The Zabar’s lettering is a jewel, possessing greater sophistication and subtlety (and a more contemporary flavor) than the usual bifurcated (split serif) font which might simply suggest ‘Circus’ or ‘Old West’. And it’s been given an even fresher twist through the addition of a new lowercase which helps add to the 1960s countercultural aspect of the font’s personality.

Bloody Nose, from Mabry Creative, is an original decorative font with embedded OpenType features. Consisting of hand-scrawled characters, the font is set in all caps and features ninety-eight glyphs with six alternate versions of each. The alternates automatically and randomly cycle through for a more authentic handwritten effect. Bloody Nose was created using an eyedropper to apply red ink to Bristol board. The natural running and pooling of the ink as it absorbed into the board inspired the font’s title.

Leksa is an oldstyle, even a bit old-fashioned text family in 12 faces, including six upright and six italic ones, from Light to Black, with both oldstyle and tabular digits and true small caps. The typeface works best in the books of classical style, and looks good in both small and large point sizes. One of the main features of the typeface is its professionally-designed Cyrillic which (together with sans-serif companion Leksa Sans) was awarded for excellence in type design at Modern Cyrillic competition in Superfamilies category.

HS Alwafa is an Arabic display typeface. It is useful for book titles and creative graphic projects where a contemporary, streamlined look is desired for digital purposes. The font is based on the simple lines of sequre Kufi calligraphy, that support Arabic, Persian, Urdu and Kurdish. This font was created in the beginning as a digital weight in 2012 for use by an engineering digital company. The company tends to follow the geometrical united and equal shape in both vertical and horizontal dimensions and with a tendency for digital strokes showing digital numbers under the name of base. I followed that with three styles: first, the digital with a solid base, second is a stencil and the third is the regular solid font. By producing this font, we provided the Arabic fonts library with various styles which grant many design purposes.

The Gabriela project is of great importance to us since it is the first font published by Latinotype México which is our brand-new sister foundry in Mexico. Gabriela, yet more versatile, shares all of its DNA with Gabriela Stencil. The font is an excellent choice for short and medium-length text. Gramercy Eight JNL is an outline and drop shadow treatment of Crestview Six JNL, inspired by some 1930s-1940s era Art Deco hand lettering spotted on a sales flier for some decorator decals.

RosarGrad is a simple but elegant calligraphic face with six style: plain, italic, medium, medium italic, bold, and bolditalic. It was inspired by hand lettering on a graduation picture from the late 1960s.

Here's yet another variation of the classic Futura Black Art Deco stencil form of display lettering. The inspiration for this typeface came from various images of the Blossom Dairy Co. restaurant, originally opened as an ice cream and sandwich shop located on Quarrier Street in Charleston, West Virginia. The restaurant first opened in 1938 as an outgrowth of the Blossom Dairy Co. itself, and existed under various ownerships until it permanently closed on Nov. 11, 2016. Digitally redrawn as Local Eatery JNL, it is available in both regular and oblique versions.
