The name Norden means “the Nordic”, as in the geographical area or its countries. Inspired by the simplicity of Nordic and Scandinavian design, the Norden fonts give you clarity of expression, beyond the usual geometric look and feel of traditional sans-serifs. Open and spacious, the shapes of the glyphs play both with and against each other. Round and soft versus square and solid, a basic curve versus a straight line, creating a detached yet distinct style of expression, from light-as-air Hairline to dark and Bold. Telegramo is modeled on a historic telegraph from Belgrade to Vienna 1914. The original archetypal character set consists of lowercase letters and numerals only. Uppercase letters and special characters were added after careful research. Contact pressure variations of the rudimentary type writing machine are directly imitated in the three weights: the regular weights edges are sharp, medium edges are rounded and the bold letters can nearly be called soft. Since the original typeface did not seem perfectly suitable for modern desktop publishing purposes, two additional stylistic sets were created for each weight, improving certain issues in rhythm, legibility and quirkiness.

We would like to introduce a new font Maiolica. We were inspired by Italian ceramics and floral patterns on square tiles. We decorated the empty space of letters with geometric patterns. That's how this font turned out! Maiolica typeface includes three fonts: Decorative, Inline, Symbol. Mix and match them to get interesting design. The font is suitable for menu design, wedding invitations and cards, craft products branding and packaging (ceramics, floristics, soap making, natural cosmetics ect). Copenhagen has been in need of a typeface that unites the city’s many visual expressions. The three designers Morten Rostgaard Olsen, Henrik Birkvig and Ole Søndergaard have designed and developed the typeface FP København. Now available from MyFonts in 44 styles: Serif & sans serif, uprights & italics, small caps, pictos-characters, stencils, sprayed style, OT-features, ligatures, contextual alternates etc. The shapes of the letters are inspired by the city’s culture and the visual environment and design in Denmark in the 20th century. It is relatively low and wide as the city itself and with rounded corners that give it a warm visual mood.

Inspired by vintage books and the pages within, Appareo is an imperfect, worn serif font that comes in three weights. Each weight has a varying degree of distress, from Black, in which the press and ink fully set into the page, to Medium, Light and Extralight, where the texture is heaviest. Each weight also has a custom italics version of each character. To fully give the authentic feel of worn pages of dusty books, Appareo has 5 character variations. Appareo also has a set of graphic elements, including frame, banners, borders, arrows, etc in the same style and texture.

Handelson is a collection of 6 handmade typefaces with authentic and organic feel. It contains three scripts, one non-connected script and two all caps geometric sans serifs (Block letters). Textures and rough edges are simulating handwritten and printed looks. By combining these fonts you can make diverse typographic solutions and elements with unified style. Portello is a display family in the tradition of Tuscan advertising and display faces. It's a family of three 'all capital' faces. A perpendicular regular form is offered, along with an italic form (a true italic - with purpose designed glyphs-NOT merely an oblique) and a basic form for small text - which dispenses with the family's characteristic outlined look. It offers the spirit of the Victorian era with ready and distinctive legibility. It's ideal for poster work, especially at large sizes, and for signage with a period flair. Meet Voga. Voga is a condensed modern Didone typeface with three weights: Regular, medium and bold. My aim was to create a very elegant and “sexy” typeface with some unique letterforms based on the principle of contrast - curves vs. strong straight lines - thin hairlines vs. thick stems - ball terminals vs. geometric serifs. These contrasts make it a glamourous display font for titles and large typography settings, yet readable at text sizes. Voga was inspired by iconic typefaces such as Bodoni and Didot. It has an extensive glyph set that supports languages for the Americas and most of Europe.

The Eixample project is inspired by modernist signage of various examples found in the Eixample neighbourhood in Barcelona. The name of each subfamily is related to its location or to specific elements of the original sign. In 2003 we photographed a sign with the word GLACES painted on a refrigerator, on which, over the years, we have speculated on how to manage the concept of double vertical modulation. This model has been expanded and the original idea has been developed in three variants that oscillate between monolinear and high contrast. In order to increase its versatility, the character set includes small caps.

Meet the Letterpress! Jakob Erbar’s Phosphor was released by the Ludwig & Mayer Foundry before 1923. The origins of Aurora date back to 1912 (Johannes Wagner Foundry). Permanent Headline was designed by Karlgeorg Hoefer, also known simply as Headline. It was fun making a mix out of the three classics – with Letterpress Bastard you will quickly get astounding results. To complete the family we added a font containing random symbols we also found in the metal type boxes. Please note that we provided loads of ligatures for double-letters to make your design look as authentic as possible.

Surpassing traditional Antiqua, our new collaborative font family Audela emerges after overcoming time, national borders, language differences, cultural gaps, and professional challenges. Starting off as an exercise project of our very first intern Léa Bruneau in 2018, Audela slowly shaped into a full-fledged elegant serif typeface of 14 styles under the watchful eye of Plamen Motev, Fontfabric’s Type Director. Three years later, Audela is internally regarded as a breaker of limits earning its name from the French “au-delà,” meaning “beyond.” This new rising star features sharp serifs, flowing letterforms, advanced OpenType features, Extended Latin and Cyrillic support, to name a few.

Designed over three years after the second World War, and published in 1949 by the Nebiolo foundry, Normandia was Alessandro Butti’s take on the fat face. As it usually was with Butti’s designs, this face effectively injected a catchy yet expertly calculated calligraphic spin into its source of inspiration — which was the essentially geometric/deco, thicker model of Bodoni’s very popular aesthetic. The metal Normandia saw some widespread use for a handful of years after its publication, not least because of the multitude of sizes in which it was available. It stepped out of the limelight by the mid-1950s, due to a combination of the popularity of cold type and Nebiolo’s refusal to retool its faces for new technologies. It was copied by a few small film typesetting outfits on both sides of the Atlantic, but never really found its way back to the mainstream. By the time computer type became the norm, Normandia was pretty much relegated to a type historian’s collection of anecdotes. This digital update of the classic series revives and refines the three original metal designs (Tonda/Regular, Corsiva/Italic, and Contornata/Outline) and expands the character set to more than 600 glyphs per font, including small caps, six types of figures, fractions and nut fractions, a full set of f-ligatures, some stylistic alternates, and other fine typography niceties.

Austral Sans is a hand-drawn layered font designed by Antipixel. Based in the Slab version, it is part of the Austral type family. This sans makes your work unique & noteworthy, because the possibilities of combinations of textures & styles create distictive results. Linex Sweet was designed by Albert Boton in the late 1990s. It's a smallish family of three weights; the middle weight has an italic companion face. With its soft corners and slightly quirky head-serifs, Linex Sweet is a friendly design that sees much use. Several years later, Boton began sketching a new design, based on the original Linex Sweet but with a little more authority and grace. Linex Sans is the result. A mix of crisp angles and soft shapes, this new addition to the extended Linex family is both inviting and elegant. The subtle calligraphic overtones distinguish the design from more traditional sans serif designs. A three-weight family with a complementary italic for the Regular weight, Linex Sans is a versatile communications tool in both text and display sizes. It offers that mix of sophistication and joie de vivre that characterizes the designs of Albert Boton. Boton began his professional career as a carpenter. Fortunately for designers and typographers, he quickly turned from pounding nails to hammering out graphic design and constructing great letterforms as a profession. In his long career, he has created hundreds of distinctive, highly useful and award-winning designs. And even though he is now retired from active business, Boton continues to create fresh, new typeface designs. Add Linex Sans to the list.
