Yseult is a ultra-romantic, elegant handwritten font, reminiscent of pre-Raphaelite beauties and classical paintings. It refers to the opera Tristan und Isolde (also spelt as Yseul, Isolda etc.) in three acts by Richard Wagner. The opera was based largely on the romance by Gottfried von Strassburg. Its design was influenced by Genevieve and, less directly, by Silver Dagger. Ni is a kind of typographic love letter, revealed in three distinct, yet close, type formulas. Ni Serif is a contemporary serif typeface with slight diagonal modulation, amazingly legible, and with a very steady rhythm that allows a wonderful performance, especially in long passages of text. Ni Sans closely match the design characteristics and proportions of the serif counterpart. Ni Sans undeniably shows the strong calligraphic influence that comes from Ni Serif, resulting in a very comfortable humanistic typeface, suited both for print and digital environments. Ni Slab is not a simple Sans with serifs attached. Despite the thick and strong serifs, Ni Slab is a gentle mixture of the DNA of the Serif and Sans counterpart and does not intend to reflect any mechanic approach.

Despite being drawn digitally, Angeletta is a typeface in the hand-lettering tradition. It draws on designer Rob Leuschke's three decades of experience with pen and ink, including his time creating scripts for Hallmark Cards. Spontaneous and energetic, Angeletta is satisfyingly inky – with strokes almost spilling into one another. Its quirky personality and titling version makes it a good choice for packaging and social expression, while its distinctive character could work well in branding, perhaps paired with a more sedate sans serif. The Angeletta typeface is a calligraphic script designed by Robert E. Leuschke exclusively for Monotype. It is available in OpenType OTF and TTF fonts formats. Angeletta has 900 glyphs with OpenType typographic features like contextual and stylistic alternatives, swashes, ligatures and fractions.

This is the rounded, softer version of Canada Type's popular Press Gothic. Originally done in 2011 for a global publisher, this font has already seen plenty of magazine and book cover action, perhaps even more than the sharp condensed face that spawned it. And like Press Gothic, Soft Press comes with small caps and biform/unicase forms, in addition to the main upper/lowercase set. The extended language support covers a wide range, including Greek and Cyrillic, Turkish, Baltic, Central and Eastern European languages, Celtic/Welsh and Esperanto. The Pro version combines all three TrueType fonts into one OpenType-programmed font, taking advantage of class-based kerning, the small caps feature, and the stylistic alternates feature for the biform shapes.

Bellfort Draw family is a hand-drawn version of the Bellfort family. It features 5 different sub-families: Regular, Rough, Hollow, Dark, Script. Each of these sub-families contains up to three font weights. When the font is used in OpenType-savvy applications, the 3 variants of glyphs are automatically alternated to achieve a random-like effect. When not using the Contextual Alternates feature, you can still pick the alternates in the Glyphs palette or use the alternates available from the keyboard upper and lower case. Bellfort Draw Script is a handwritten, fully connected script with ligatures and contextual alternates to help with flow and readability. Language support includes Western, Central and Eastern European character sets, as well as Baltic and Turkish languages.

I happened to mention to the proprietor of an antique barn near here that I'd be interested in any old typewriters she happened to come across. A conversation ensued, the proprietor withdrew into a back room, and she re-emerged with an old handwritten letter, dated 18 Sept. 1825 and spanning nearly three pages. The letter, penned by Samuel Clarke, a Princeton, Mass., pastor, sought donations for the victims of an accident at sea. I thought his script unique, stylistic, and definitely something worth digitizing, so I bought the old letter and took it home. Had to come up with several uppercase characters to round out the set, but the results seem good and proper. Full release has complete character set.
