Historically, Jeanne Moderno could have appeared on the scene around 1918—after the First World War—when new cultural movements, manifestos, theories and countertheories shaped art, industry and society. Bufon is a font that holds many ligatures (815); a characteristic that intervenes in the rhythm of words. For this aim, a study of the combination of signs in the text was made. The interest was to detect the most frequent duets and trios of letters. Three languages were studied; English, French and Spanish.

The Morgan Project can be considered a big type family with ‘many styles’ or a set of different types that match with each other. For me it’s one typeface with different versions with deliberate and visible differences according to the propose to which each version was created. The design started in 2000 as a display type with the design of the Morgan Tower, to which more two display versions were added; Morgan Poster and Morgan Big — all together the make our: FTF Morgan Display Kit 1. All three versions consist only in uppercase with alternate letters in the lowercase and a set of special ligatures. Morgan Tower has four variants that differ in width/weight, Morgan Poster has six variants (often called styles), three weights in upright and oblique and Morgan Big has twelve, six weights in upright and oblique. Brda originally designed by the Polish designer Franciszek Otto for the Powiat weekly newspaper. Powiat needed a new, dynamically drawn sans serif for its headlines, and Otto's Brda fit the bill. Combining traditional Grotesk letterforms with witty subtleties, like the notched-joint seen in the capital G, Brda displays a novel design that works best when set large. The typeface is named after the Brda river, which runs through Bydgoszcz, Poland, the city where Powiat is published. The Brda family includes three weights, each with a companion italic: Regular, Bold, and Extra Bold. The Brda family's Extra Bold weight was one of the winners selected in the 2003 International Type Design Contest, sponsored by Linotype GmbH. Franciszek Otto also teaches graphic design at the Secondary Art School in Bydgoszcz, where his typefaces rank among the students' favorites.

Sutro Deluxe is a bold slab serif with a double drop shadow. It was originally conceived as a simple black and white display alphabet. But it seemed unfinished, begging for something more. I decided to try adding a couple layers of fill and detail to try and make it interesting. The result is this five-layer chromatic font family. The Primary Font is the Main Font. The other fonts ( Fill, Inline Fill, Inline and Shaded Inline) only exist to support the Primary Font.There is some color trapping going on.To make sure you are laying the fonts on top of one another in the optimum order, I recommend the free PDF User Manual. The cover of vintage sheet music for "With Plenty of Money and You (The Gold Diggers' Lullaby)" from the Warner Brothers musical "Gold Diggers of 1937" had the movie title hand-lettered in a classic Art Deco style. Bold, brash and totally fun, this became the model for Golden Opportunity JNL.

Hagenbeck is an old style font face with the intention to get really bold. It's a design from 2019, drawn during a rainy stay in the eponymous district in Hamburg, the designers ‘hood for a long time. There is the bold weight and a decorative stamped version of this font face.

I created CemeteryWalk in 2018 to illustrate a program for a local cemetery walk. CemeteryWalk places letters on pictures of gravestones. In 2022 I expanded the family by placing three different sets of letters on the gravestones. Each of the four different sets of letters on gravestones has two styles, one with black letters on white gravestones and the other with white letters on black markers (the bold style). The bold style can be placed beneath the plain style to add color or texture. All eight styles are caps only, with the lower-case letters having different shapes for the tombstones but the same letters as in the upper case. There is only one set of accented characters and it is where the upper-case letters are found. Each also has an alternate set of characters that are somewhat similar in appearance and it can be accessed using the OpenType feature of stylistic sets. A final typeface in the family is a picture font of items that may be found on old tombstones.
