Avenue is an eleven font family with five synthesist serif faces, five humanist sans serif faces, and one old style face. It is designed as an extrememly versatile body copy set. The 1884 specimen book of San Francisco Palmer and Rey Type Foundry featured this elegant design under the name Oxford. Buttermilk is the first font from illustrator/designer/typographer Jessica Hische. It’s a wonderful display script that is feminine but bold. I accidentally fell in love with type design, and more specifically, the inscription on the historic Bemis building in Seattle.
