Edito is a completely new bodycopy font. The special thing about this font is, that all serifs have the same height. So no matter if you take the thinnest cut (A) or the fattest (F), you will always have aligning serifs. I started Edito as an experiment. I tried to enhance the classic and sturdy Times font. But I soon dicovered, that it would be more efficient to take only the basic idea behind Times (the robust design) and start from scratch. Hieronymus Andreae or latter in life Hieronymus Formenschneider as he proudly took a new surname to proclaim his success in the printing industry as the man who introduced the Fraktur script to the world of print. This project was undertaken at the orders of Emperor Maximilian I. One of Fraktur’s first appearances was in a joint venture with the great Albrecht Dürer. This font was based on a later work, Andreae’s magnus opus in the music field, the Coralis Constantini by Henry Isaac. Andreae worked as woodblock cutter and then became a publisher in the city of Nuremberg until his death in 1565. We at PLTF are proud to revive this enormously influential typeface.

When I hear people say that, it always reassures me that I am left-handed, in case I am ever doubtful about it. Five of the last eight U.S. presidents have been left-handed, so we're in good company, no matter which political party you're a fan of. Linotype Tiger is part of the Take Type Library, chosen from the entries of the Linotype-sponsored International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. This fun font was created by German designers G. Jakob and J. Meißner. Like the font Linotype Sunburst, Linotype Tiger is also a typeface without curves, rather, angular and almost aggressive. The forms are reminiscent of splinters of wood arranged to form letters, numerals and punctuation signs. The font contains five weights which can be combined experimentally with each other, even over each other, or combined with more neutral typefaces. With its energetic character, Linotype Tiger is genearlly suitable exclusively for headlines with point sizes of 18 or larger, although the weight Linotype Tiger Tame can also be used for shorter texts.

Skeletal Wish is a line from one of my favourite Opeth songs: Heir Apparent. The lyrics are pretty veiled and bleak, describing the destruction and downfall of something that once was beautiful. I am worried about what is happening with our planet: the Amazon forest is burning down, our oceans are full of plastic and the earth is warming up. I had to think of this when I created Skeletal Wish and I thought the title was perfect. Skeletal Wish is a heavy and scary halloween font. It comes with blobs, splatter, gore and whatever else you may need for your designs. It won’t help save the Amazon rainforest, nor will it stop the flow of marine plastic, but you could use it to create a protest sign. After all, the change begins with you.

Unzial typefaces consist of letter forms of the Capitalis Monumentalis and the majescule cursive. The origins of Unizial faces date back to the 5th century. The Neue Hammer Unziale was developed from the Hammer typeface, which was designed by Victor Hammer in 1921, cut by A. Schuricht and appeared with the font foundry Klingspor in 1923. In 1953, American Unizial was expanded to include some new figures, also designed by Hammer, and was rereleased by Klingspor with the name Neue Hammer Unziale. The forms are based on old scripts in books of antiquity and the early Middle Ages and the font is a new variation of a classic. Neue Hammer Unziale has been a favorite for certificates and diplomas and is recommended for headlines and shorter texts in a point size of 12 or larger.

Grange Text is optimised for smaller text sizes, having more open character shapes and spacing. Use the non-text version of Grange for larger sizes and headlines, which has tighter spacing and detailing. Grange is the Device interpretation of the classic “Grot” thick/thin sans style. Unlike the traditional models on which it is based, Grange takes a rational, consistent approach across wide range of weights and widths for contemporary use. The font includes alternative curved and straighter versions of key characters, most obviously the lower-case ‘g' and capital ‘R', allowing the font to take on either a sharper or warmer, more playful appearance.
