Erbaum is a display square sans serif type family. It is straight-forward in overall structure, simple and rational in details. Erbaum was designed to maximise clarity, with an emphasis on construction and pragmatic aesthetics. The concept behind this typeface was uncompromisingly function driven, which was to provide a clear and effective medium for communication and a modern alternative to similar fonts in the aforementioned category. I also had the artist Sigmar Polke in mind which explains the spelling, and so the two ideas simply morphed together.

Each capital shares similar angles, as does each lowercase, making for a typeface only a mother could love. Legible, but not readable, recommended in small doses.
