ITC Motter Sparta is the work of Austrian designer Othmar Motter and for its inspiration, he turned to car design. As we all know, trends in car design affect many other fields of design in a way that shapes tastes." At the end of the 1990s, Motter saw the trend moving away from soft lines and toward a tighter, tenser look: "In this latest trend, sharp clearly-defined edges meet broadly-drawn, dynamic curves and cut them off sharply." And so too is ITC Motter Sparta, with each character form distinct, which also creates a typeface instantly recognizable from a single character. New Millennium is one of three font families that share a common name, a common design philosophy, a common x-height, and basic character shapes. (The others are New Millennium Sans and New Millennium Linear; all three work well together.) New Millennium is a serif face of what some might describe as a "modern style." But although it has flat serifs, it differs markedly from, say, Bodoni or Didot -- especially in the italic, which is a radical departure from tradition. (The bold styles are in fact sans-serif, identical to those of New Millennium Sans.) There's also a nice, dark Headline style for display text. New Millennium is a distinctive, legible, accessible text face that might be well suited to, say, scientific documentation.

The Kelson font family is a Armasen project completed for a graphic design agency in Brazil. The agency had a typeface, but the kerning, spacing, and related features were corrupted or otherwise not working very well. The Armasen team improved the qualities, refined the shapes, and enhanced the font features. Armasen is a group of hard-working, young Brazilian students and type designers focused on creating and developing professional quality typefaces with a distinctive and unique personality. Metropolis was designed by W. Schwerdtner and released in 1928. The tapered strokes give the impression of height. The Metropolis font family shares an attractive, informal headline design.

Corrente, named aptly for its “electric” letter shading (“corrente” is Italian for “current” (electrical)) will add a little spark to your works. Corrente’s “Dagger” glyphs are lightning bolts!

HU Mymyoh KR is contains KOREAN words and Latin alphabets. HU Mymyoh KR adds a gothic feel to the Gulim-based typeface. Osbourne is a display typeface with titles based on a refresh, a revival of Salem, originally designed by Keystone Type Foundry. A font with elevated x-height and condense proportions. Visibly “sharp.” In addition to the default version, it has two other versions: one that is sharper and another with wide alternatives to the circular characters. Between these and its five weights, Osbourne has a range of personalities to fit a designer’s needs. Think titles, branding, short texts, whatever you want to make look good. Yet another font in the Latinotype arsenal that covers more than 200 languages within the Latin alphabet and basic Cyrillic.

The displayfont Shiver is characterized by its strong shaped letters and the mix of angular and round shapes.

The official terseness and grey of Neo-Classical type faces will stand out when we narrow them. The consistently vertical shading of the letters suppresses one's desire for eccentricity, just like tea with bromine. It would, however, be wrong to consider Bodoni as the originator of this - vertically shaded - trend in type face production. In his Manual we can also find type faces with a slanted axis of shade, picturesque italics and a number of normal, more human type faces. It remains a mystery why his name is connected only with one of his many works. Genre's basic design is fairly light in colour, which is why it looks good in illustrated magazines and short texts and directly calls for graphically striking, contrasting headings. It shows off beautifully next to photographs, on diplomas and on printed materials connected with a person's death.

The upper-case letters of Lentzers fit into the shape of a convex lens and the lower-case letters fit into the shape of a concave lens. The typeface was designed to have concave shapes alternate with convex shapes so the letters snuggle together. The OpenType contextual alternatives (calt) feature will automatically make this happen if your word processor supports it. (To get only concave or convex shapes, one must turn off the contextual alternatives feature. With only concave shapes the spaces between letters form thin convex lenses and with only convex shapes the spaces between letters form thin concave lenses. The name of the family was inspired by these lens shapes and also by the name of distant ancestors.) Lentzers is caps only. It comes in three weights: light, regular, and bold. It is eye-catching for posters and titles and poorly suited for text.

This font is the result of merging my architecture background and my love for typography, which inspired me to create a system of fonts based on interior architecture design, furniture design and, especially, the love I feel for my home. The system comes with a monolinear style in sans and script versions, each including 5 weights, that share similar proportions, weight interpolation and details. Hogar is basically a sans with script gestures and a script with sans shapes. In order to make the system more complete, I included an italic version, also in 5 weights, which represents a transition between both main styles. Additionally, I developed a set of monolinear dingbats including some furniture designs by well-known architects.. The family supports more than 200 Latin derived languages.

Goldbarre is a finely engraved slab serif face in the spirit of ‘between the wars’ commercial confidence. It’s a solid and dependable face of distinction for use on certificates and posters which need to convey an emphatic yet refined message. The letterforms of Goldbarre combine finely hatched shading with and embossed, three-dimensional, quality. The utility of the family is further enhanced with Goldbarre No 2 - a solid shaded face, Goldebarre No 3 - an open embossed face, and Goldbarre No 4 - a basic black slab-serif face.

Originally drawn in the style of 19th-century woodcut types with interior shading and ornate English swashes, Raphael was updated in 1974, and the interior shading was removed. It now exhibits modern design elements - very wide letter strokes offset by hairlines - and is easily identified by the swashes that curve over the tops of the capitals, turning into crossbars on the A, E, F, and R.
