You've searched for "Egyptian" but, thanks to a quirk of type jargon history, much of what you found is not what you had in mind for the voice of Thoth in your comic book, or the hints in your Mummy's Tomb game. And you don't want to fall back on You-Know-What. Fear not; now there's Walklike! Pyramids, reeds, the Eye of Horus, and other recognizable symbols inspire the letterforms of Walklike to create the feel of Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs while remaining fully legible. The strokes are casual but careful, at home in ink or stone alike, and kept interesting and natural-looking automatically with ligatures and some contextual alternates. The air of ancient mystery is unmistakable!

On the sheet music for this song, it is hand lettered in the Art Nouveau fashion of the time by a round nib pen, and made a perfect candidate to be redrawn as a digital typeface. Valute is a custom font with variable typeface, but at first glance it looks very mischievous. Very thincontrasting lines are very legible with heavy use of paragraph text. We made Valute with 9 weights that include ligatures and are multilingual. We will make language and feature updates in the future as this is a long-term project that we will be building on.

Dialog is my first sans serif. I had made some attempts earlier, but they didn't satisfy me. Dialog was, on the contrary, so inspiring that I made 19 different fonts of it, the most complete typeface for several years. I usually prefer typefaces with serifs, but I don't miss them in Dialog. The name needs no explanation. Dialog was released in 1993.

FebDei is neat, meticulous hand printing in two weights, plain and bold, each with italics. It has little contrast and appears as if it was written with a pencil or ball-point pen. Unlike many other hand-printing fonts, it has tiny serifs. FebDrei was created in the process of making the fonts AllSmiles and BringInTheFrowns and can be used with them.

Based in part on the hand-lettered title for a piece of vintage sheet music, Hayride JNL gets both its inspiration and name from Michael Todd's 1948 production "Mexican Hayride". The original design was in outline form, and the letters with straight-lined shapes had slight curves to them. This is another grunge style hand drawn font I created with a poster marker. Including all Latin language extensions, Cyrillic and Japanese Hiragana and Katakana. It's an all caps font. I drew a couple versions of each letter then picked one of them for lower and one for uppercase so they can be combined for better flow and more even more natural look.

Due to some grease on a menu, I misread "Spicy Avocado" as "Spacy Avocado" which led me to the name of this font. Erle Stanley Gardner’s beloved lawyer “Perry Mason” first appeared on screen in a series of six films with Warren Williams starring in four of them. The hand lettered opening title for 1935’s “The Case of the Lucky Legs” is a classic Art Deco sans serif design, and is now available as Courtroom JNL in both regular and oblique versions.
