My latest typeface is a formal, copperplate script named Glade. Beginning as a project for a client who wanted several widths of a formal script style, the project never saw fruition. However, it did get me excited about the idea of a width family of steel nib scripts, ranging from extra narrow to extra wide, and the result is the Glade family. To give Glade a minor modern makeover from the original intent, the lowercase has been scaled up, and the Capitals scaled down for a more friendly personality. The character set has been expanded, and OpenType support has been added for unlimited fractions, ordinals, superiors and inferiors. So if you have the need for a formal connecting script, but are short on space, try Glade Narrow or Glade Extra Narrow. If space is not an issue, then the Regular, Wide or the generously gracious Extra Wide should do nicely. And if you get the whole family, well then you are set for anything that comes your way.

Steel Grrrder is an industrial-style joining script with a stencil effect, available in six weights ranging from Light to Black. However, if you’re searching for a “nice” script - sorry, bud - you’re looking in the wrong place. Steel Grrrder Script doesn’t entice the reader with voluptuous curves, flowing swashes or frisky letterforms, instead its sharp chiselled features compel the reader to pay attention. Characters muscle their way along like robotic bulldogs in steel-toe cap boots. Steel Grrrder Script is a veritable slab fest, best categorised as a constructivist joining script. One of the most remarkable characteristic of this humanistic sans serif is its versatility. Ronnia’s personality performs admirably in headlines, but is diffident enough for continuous text and small text alike. The heavier weights deliver very cohesive shapes, and they have been successfully used for branding and newspaper headlines. Its ten styles grant the designer a broad range of coherent color and texture variations in text blocks, necessary tools to solve complex information and editorial design problems. Ronnia has been mainly engineered for newspaper and magazine applications manifested in its properties: economic in use, highly legible, and approaching the reader with some friendliness and charm. The Quarantinus font was created during the 2020 covid 19 lock-down. Tranquility being all around, the JOEBOB graphics studio almost felt like a monastery, and as a result my style of writing and my choice of pen had to fit. All this writing was turned into an authentic handwritten script font with over 150 ligatures, which make it look very credible and spontaneous. The font is especially suitable for personalized 'handwritten' notes, cards and messages. It can be used on T-shirts and on shop-windows. It has an 'instant logo' quality, it can be used for tattoo-designs and it screams home-made everything. And in case you are a writer you now have an option to print your work in a way that seems as if you wrote it yourself. The 10th Regiment of Foot is a British military unit raised more than three centuries ago—and perhaps most famous in the U.S. for seeing action on American soil during the Revolutionary War in the Battle of Lexington and Concord and the Battle of Bunker Hill. Military Scribe is modeled after the compact, utilitarian script on the mid- to late-1770s muster rolls of the Tenth of Foot. I incorporated the work of at least three separate scribes, merging their neat old penmanship into a legible disconnected cursive. Perhaps the most versatile of all our vintage handwriting fonts, Military Scribe might faithfully reproduce antique letters, labels, lists, or just about any document of the period.
