A Japanese design firm called Maniackers put together a typeface design in 2001, which they called Snail. Bugleboy started as a digitized version of "Wood Grotesk," a 1970s film typeface by LetterGraphics. For the font design project, I had decided to make a typeface which would reflect the style architectural of Zaha Hadid. My purpose was the presentation of a font to her as Zaha Hadid was alive during my project process. But nearly at the end of the project we unfortunately received the death news of her. Her life wasn't long enough to see the project completed.

Ergo is a relatively new font oriented on the form philosophy of Univers and Frutiger, namely, that a font which the eye should see as correct cannot be constructed.
