Cursivo Saxonio is a typeface inspired in the famous book The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, by H P Lovecraft. It shows better than I get with my studies the authentic "Insularis" or "Cursivo Saxonio" handlettering of the VIII and XI centuries used by some people in Britain. The text on the accompanying poster reads: “Corwinus necandus est. Cadaver aq(ua) forti dissolvendum, nec aliq(ui)d retinendum. Tace ut potes”

The 1939 sheet music for “Sea Dreams” had its title hand lettered in an unusual Art Deco style that employed many unusual character shapes and widths within the font design. A teardrop-shaped ‘D’, a slightly off-kilter ‘S’ and a number of other interesting variations became the model for Seahawk JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. The term “Seahawk” is another name for an Osprey.

One of the original Clarendon types, an English design, here derived from a specimen taken from an American foundry, no identifying marks. With a tall x-height, wide version, unlike more traditional Clarendons, not a square serif but bracketed. Unique to this Clarendon are the rounded openings at the points where the horizontal and vertical stems meet in the capital B, D, P and R, not common in other Clarendons.

Schmallfette Binder-Style, designed by Joseph Binder and released by D. Stempel AG in 1959 provided the template for this upright, set-tight display face. Its rather unconventional placement of the crossbars on the f and t is a subtle attention-grabber, and true to Binder's original design. Both versions include the complete Latin 1252, Central European 1250 and Turkish 1254 character sets, as well as localization for Moldovan and Romanian.

Hello, friends! I recently bought myself an old game console, the SEGA Mega Drive 2. For a long time I couldn't understand why, when I was a kid, it seemed incredible to play it. Nowadays there are a lot of games with stunning graphics and realism, but still there is something warm and light in old games. Maybe it's just a memory of a carefree childhood. After playing it, I decided to create this font so that everyone could do something in the style of old games that an army of designers and programmers hadn't worked on yet. So I made five rather odd characters for a logo for a friend… Then I thought I'd fill a couple of spare hours expanding it to a single alphabet… And some considerable time later I ended up with a whole font with full punctuation, a bunch of alternates, pretty broad international support and some OpenType features to keep things varied… There are elements of Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Lego, circuit boards and Ceefax, Memphis lamps and lab clamps, hieroglyphs, googly eyes and who knows what else… Intricate, insane, highly irregular, but somehow it hangs together… Throw down a few letters nice and big when the fancy takes you…

PT Orden™ was designed by Oleg Karpinsky in 2000-2001 and licensed by ParaType. Orden is a genuine Cyrillic typeface, it contains antique Cyrillic letter forms such as d, z, N with a diagonal stroke, symmetrical Y ,× and Ù, rare in modern typography. Another specialties: one alphabet and old style figures. Lower case consists of upper case letters except for some alternative variants of the capitals. For use in advertising and display typography.

Wedding Text was designed by Morris Fuller Benton in 1901 for American Type Founders (ATF). The face was so popular that its forms soon began appearing with other font foundries under different names, Elite Kanzlei with D. Stempel AG, Comtesse with C.F. Rühl, Linotext with Linotype, etc. Its ornamental forms are not considered very legible by today's standards; therefore it should be used for headlines and short texts in point sizes 12 or larger.

In 1936, Erich Mollowitz designed a typeface named »Rheingold Kräftig« for the German type foundry J. D. Trennert & Sohn (Hamburg-Altona). The original letterforms have been extended and beefed up a bit, and the result is a rollicking, righteously retro romp…a perfect choice when you want to strut your stuff. The PC Postscript, Truetype and Opentype versions contain the complete Latin language character set (Unicode 1252) plus Central European (Unicode 1250) languages as well.

Along Sans font family has evolved to reflect geometry-based glyph design and modern typography trends. The appropriate transformation of the lowercase letters a, d, and u alleviates the tension of the grotesque temperament. All of the glyphs have been refined to focus more on balance and rhythm, making it a smart tool for designers. Ambulatoria is a sturdy open aperture sans-serif that comes in four variations. Each variation, A, B, C, and D, contains alternative variants for certain glyphs that allow the designer to change character and texture of the text. The font family contains 80 fonts altogether, each sporting rich language support including pan-European Latin and Cyrillic. The typeface is intended to work in both large and small text sizes, which makes it a versatile workhorse.

Pacific Clipper has its roots in an old 1930s showcard lettering style. An extra bold version of this sign painter’s relic is shown in Carl Holmes' wonderful book on lettering. It may be described as what happens when Rudolf Koch's Kabel Heavy meets ATF's Novel Gothic. Also known as Sam’s Tune, Pacific Clipper’s noteworthy features include wedged crossbars in the capital A, E, F, and H. Overcurving is present in the capital B, D, P, and R while vertical strokes in the lowercase b, d, h, k, l, and t are chopped off obliquely. Figures in Pacific Clipper are also refreshingly different, particularly the number 4. This lettering favorite turned retro typeface has been extended to include a variety of weights. Pacific Clipper is now available in the OpenType format. Some new characters have been added to this OpenType version as Stylistic Alternates and Historical Forms. These advanced features work in current versions of Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress. Check for OpenType advanced feature support in other applications as it gradually becomes available with upgrades.

Quavo is a round sans font family, including regular and oblique font styles. Round corner of letters show the soft and friendly vibe and some letters for instance: letter a, b and d, they all have a tail at the end. It's sort of personal preference, for I want to add some ornamental elements in this font. Quavo can be applied in lots of areas. Including but not limited in titles, posters, book pages and big display canvas.

German Designer Klaus Sutter digitized Mustang, a brush script typeface from the 1950s originally drawn by Imre Reiner (1900-1987) and published in 1956 by D. Stempel AG. Mustang is a right slanted brush type drawn with simple and strong strokes. It has a dynamic character, and could be perfectly applied for emphasis in headlines. Mustang has the character of Imre Reiner's handriting. Imre Reiner was a prominent book illustrator, painter, and typographer during the 1950s.

This growing family of friendly faces is based on the typeface Bravour, designed in 1913 by Martin Jacoby-Boy for the D. Stempel AG foundry in Frankfurt am Main. The wide stance and very large x-height shared by the family members makes them warm and inviting, and equally suitable for use in headlines or text blocks. All versions of this font include the Unicode 1250 Central European character set in addition to the standard Unicode 1252 Latin set.

TypeAddiction presents “Gaufre de Bruxelles”, a playful handmade uppercase font. Lowercase letters have filled letters (A, B, D, O etc) and the uppercase letters have unfilled letters. "Gaufre de Bruxelles" means a Brussels waffle in English. The Brussels waffle is a rectangular-shaped waffle and is a Belgian culinary speciality. The characters of the font were inspired by the waffle dough and more specifically the shape that the dough takes when it is poured into the waffle iron.

Shababa is a hand-drawn 3-D font. The linework is fairly relaxed, mostly smooth with some distressed edges. There is lots of texturing from the pen strokes which becomes more evident at larger point sizes. This looseness enhances the smooth technicality of the properly extruded forms. Vernon’s inspiration came while researching and investigating a 'legible' typeface design for tangible purpose. The main characteristics of ‘Vernon’ can be seen in the slightly modulated strokes that reference the natural and friendly humanist proportions of the humanist hand, with open interior letterspace characteristics. The subtle detailing and finishing of strokes and junctions – seen in the curved tail of the lowercase ‘l’ and the head serif of the lowercase ‘i’, create a smooth rhythm along the baseline. Utilizing the ‘contextual alternative’ feature of OpenType, Vernon substitutes select characters in words with word-shapes that may cause visual confusion to some readers. Vernon uses subtle character differentiation in the detailing of the inner-shape / counter space from similar letter shapes (for example: ‘p’, ‘d’, ‘g’ and ‘q’) to assist in creating the contextual alternate designs. Solaris is a sans serif or a grotesque as we still call it where I come from. (it is an old term which means strange compared with Roman which was the normal font) The face is an open sans, which means that the round signs take the air into the form, minuscule d is drawn kind of backwards like in Gill Sans, which sets off on minuskel a. Here is the Regular version, with a slightly difference between stems and hairlines.

Magdelin is a minimal yet warm gothic sans with normal and alternate families. At its core, the design has simple forms and low contrast, yet it takes some qualities from the humanist class with its calligraphy or cursive-inspired details found in the italics and the bowl shapes of characters like b and d. The small x-height, longer ascenders and descenders, and semi-condensed proportions give it a bit of a vintage or classic feel while still appearing contemporary and modern.

Bivona is a superific, energetic font! Its fun and playful and begs to be included in anything that requires a large amount of zazz. It contains a full Mac OS character set with Latin Support. Most European languages are supported. We'd love to see what you use it for! Would be great on a candy or cereal box packaging. Palatino is the work of Hermann Zapf and became available in the late 1950s from D. Stempel AG in Frankfurt am Main. Zapf optimized Palatino’s design for legibility, producing a typeface which remained legible even on the inferior paper of the post World War II period. Zapf named the font after Giambattista Palatino, a master of scripts from the time of Leonardo da Vinci. Palatino is an Old Face font which proves that classic forms can still be used to create new typefaces.

vastra is a slim, futuristic, bauhaus inspired typeface. It has plenty of those pesky foreign glyphs and various alternates of the standard alphabet. It’s available in 5 different weights from light to Heavy and is complimented by 5 italicized versions of the 5 different weights too. I wanted this font to look like background set typography in a 70’s sci-fi movie. D A N G E R You can buy it in singles, pairs or the whole damn brood.

Crystal is a very trendy two font system that could be layered to give You multiple possibilities in designing. When You use it with gradient it gives a faceted 3-D effect. What is more it can be outlined that gives an additional industrial look. Both fonts contains the same metricts so using them is so simple-just copy & paste in place in different layers and then play with colors, gradients, outlines as You like :) Crystal is great for headlines and logotypes.

Inspired by some handwritten letter forms originally made by Hermann Zapf for his 1949 book "Pen and Graver", the drawings and designs finally became an entire font. It is an ideal companion to create diplomas, certificates and any other vintage projects. Take advantage of the long s which can be reached when you change the round s by the historical OpenType feature or when you simply type the integral sign [ ∫]. This font contains also swash forms of d, g, and v.

Toroka is a geometric sans serif type family with an extensive selection of styles. Functional and highly legible, it has a friendly vibe due to the lack of extending stems on "b", "d", "p", "q", "u", and "r". Its distinctive personality comes across through the rounded apexes of "V", "W", "v", and "w". Stylised "g" and "y" add sugar and spice. The additional stylistic set offers an eccentric display alternative to the uppercase. Opentype features include ligatures, tabular figures and fractions.

F .H. Ernst Schneidler, type designer and teacher, originally designed Schneidler Old Style in 1936 for the Bauer foundry. Stempel Schneidler is based on the typefaces of Venetian printers from the Renaissance period and possesses their grace, beauty, and classical proportions. The Stempel Schneidler, a completely reworked and tuned font family made by D. Stempel AG in Frankfurt, is a fine, legible text font that also works well in display. One of Schneidler's more unique features is its question marks.

The letters of Trapezoidal are like sheep: they do not like being alone but want to be part of a flock. Many of the individual letters of Trapezoidal look strange and unshapely in isolation because they are designed to fit into a pattern with other letters. That pattern is formed by alternating asymmetric trapezoids, with trapezoids that are wide at the top alternating with trapezoids that are wide at the bottom. The magic of the OpenType feature of contextual alternatives (calt) automatically alternates them. The fonts in the family are largely monospaced and have very tight letter spacing. (If for some reason one wants to use only one set of the letters, the letters will overlap unless one widens character spacing.) (If D and O are too similar, use the alternative versions of D.) The family has five weights and each weight has an italics formed by flipping the trapezoidal pattern over a vertical line. Like other alternating-character typeface families from IngrimayneType, this distinctive and visually-arresting family can be used for titles or advertising. Milton Glaser’s Kitchen Typeface from the mid 1970s exemplifies the bold 3-D art deco revival genre that was a trademark of the Glaser style. This typeface resulted from his involvement in the design of the The Big Kitchen in the World Trade Center’s concourse in New York City. The new P22 Glaser Kitchen takes on the technical challenge of overlapping 3-D shadows by offering two styles. P22 Glaser Kitchen Regular is spaced out so that the shadows do not overlap the white spaces of the neighboring letters. Whereas the P22 Glaser Kitchen 3D Fill and 3D Shadow can be used layered on top of one another to achieve the tight spacing intended by Glaser. P22 Glaser Kitchen was based on original drawings and phototype proofs from the Milton Glaser Studios archives. Typographic punctuation and sorts were imagined by James Grieshaber to work with Glaser’s design, as well as diacritics to accommodate most European languages. Over the years there have been many typefaces that borrowed heavily from the Glaser designs, but these are the only official fonts approved by Milton Glaser Studio and the Estate of Milton Glaser.
