Époque Seria is that kind of person who looks really cute when angry. This font was derived from the Époque family. She is the little sister to Époque - a little shorter with her smaller x-height and — how do you say it in the typographic circle — your eyes are also smaller (and you know you squint when things get serious, isn't it?). The genealogy of these font face is undeniable, but Époque Seria has a ‘personality’ very different from her older sister. The reduction of the x-height also shakes somewhat with the cap that had crossbar. To accompany the package of standardization, the letters that don't have their straight axes were changed, which brought to the set more Cs and Gs contemporaries. In addition, other measures were taken as a greater softness in the variation of the weights and the abandonment of the black weight, being considered too heavy for this version.

Lumios is a freehand casual marker script that was created using Pilot Sign Pen. It has both extended Latin and basic Cyrillic support that is enhanced with oodles of ligatures (latin as well as cyrillic) and alternates. As a compliment to the script I also created Lumios Design Elements font that can be useful in brand design, greeting cards design etc. Both fonts were carefully traced by hand and have clean edges, hence they are safe to use in all graphic design software (including but not limited to Adobe Suite, Silhouette and Cricut Design, Affinity Designer etc) as well as on websites. When work started on the design of Gelica, there wasn't the same glut of retro-ish soft serifs there is today, and if I'd managed to complete it quicker, it might have been more trendsetter than bandwagon jumper, but that's the way it goes sometimes! I still think it's useful and unique enough to be a worthwhile addition to your typographic arsenal. Although obviously influenced by Cooper, it actually owes more to the lesser known Goudy Heavyface and Ludlow Black, particularly in the concave serifs. I wanted the family to be friendly and approachable, but not overly cutesy, and usability was always the prime concern. A nice weight range with matching italics was a must, along with useful OpenType features, and various figure styles. This is a display family first and foremost, but is also comfortable at smaller sizes for longer copy, and so works well in a supporting role to a more exuberant titling font.

Floki is a contemporary condensed sans serif with sixteen styles ranging from extralight to extrabold and accompanying italics. The amount of styles, condensed proportions and large character set make Floki suitable for various uses such as infographics, packaging, branding, advertising and editorial design. Floki’s aesthetics are distinctly modern and they have a hint of softness which comes from sublty curving the diagonal strokes in letters such as A and V. This feature really shines when you set text in tightly set caps as big as possible. Stylistically Floki leans more to the humanist sans serif but it has a flavour of geometry in its shapes as well. The result of this combination of features is a highly usable typeface with a clear voice of it's own. All styles feature small caps and multiple sets on numerals including lining figures, old style figures, tabular figures, small cap figures, numerators, denominators, superiors, inferiors and fractions. It was originally inspired by my winter scarf knitting exploits. I discovered that making wool scarves was generating beautiful patterns and I wanted them to become a source of inspiration for a style. I made a few collages, and they became letters. Other characters came up with ease. It is readable, but long essays are not its main purpose. It is decorative and will look casual and very attractive on any ad as a title or a short phrase. It also demonstrates very good performance in automatic 3D generators, like Xara 3D maker, used in making examples of how this font can be utilised. It was designed to be thin, soft, with the capacity to cover empty space and to create a vibrant environment. Small characters are different from capital letters, they are stylistic alternates. Some letters are slightly ominous or dynamic, others create a soothing feeling. Using several colors make it shine, but it is complex, it looks good in monochromatic compositions as well.

Peachi is a serif typeface loosely based on Morris Fuller Benton’s Souvenir forms and some other serif fonts designed in the early 1900s. Rather heavy ball terminals and a very large x-heigh make Peachi a perfect choice for designing titles, book covers, for branding, quotes design - basically any design that needs to make an impact and to be remembered. Neon Bugler Squared is a soft, boxy version of Neon Bugler, which is a font based on the third logo created by Harry Warren in early 1975 for his sixth grade class newsletter, The Broadwater Bugler, at Broadwater Academy in Exmore, Virginia, on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. This font design has these principles as its parameters: The letters generally follow what would be natural stroke directions; no sharp corners, all gentle turns; no lines back up over each other, cross each other, or run into each other. All of this civility between the lines produces an unintentional but welcome neon quality about it. Houschka Alt Pro is a carbon copy of the Houschka Pro family with one key difference: the rounded signature glyphs A & W on the default positions swap places with their straight alternates. Houschka was named after Georg Houschka, a sadly defunct confectioner’s shop in Salzburg, Austria, which had a wonderful 1930s frontage and distinctively rounded letterforms in the sign above the door. Houschka Pro is the follow up to the original Houschka type family which first appeared back in 1999. In particular, in bold weights it works surprisingly well, which is not always the case with serif faces.
