This font is inspired by Johannes Janssonius, well know as Jan Janszoon o Jan Janssonius (Arnhem, 1588 – Amsterdam, 1664), was a Dutch cartographer, publisher and engraver. Married to Hondius's daughter. He was the author of many masterpieces of cartography of the 1700s like Willem Blaeu and Hondius, famous maps with heavy use of decorations in the letterig to fill the spaces of oceans, seas, lakes and scrolls. The name Saluzzo is given to this font in honor of Giambattista Bodoni (1740–1813). Bodoni was born in the town of Saluzzo, Cuneo, Italy, and died at the age of 30. Saluzzo is a contemporary interpretation of Bodoni, retaining its elegant thin serifs and contrasted with heavy downstrokes. What makes Saluzzo unique is that it was approached from a calligraphic point of view. Also unique in this interpretation is the fact that it is a stencil. Cut as a private version for the Nonesuch Press in the early 1930s, Monotype Bulmer was first released for general use in 1939. Based on types, cut by William Martin circa 1790, used by the Printer, William Bulmer, in a number of prestigious works, including Boydell's Shakespeare. Martins types combined beauty with functionality. Narrower and with a taller appearance than Baskerville, it anticipated the modern face of Bodoni but retained vital qualities from the old face style. This new digital version of the Bulmer font family was drawn by Monotype following extensive research into the previous hot metal versions and a study of Bulmer's printed works. Additional weights have been designed together with a wide range of Expert and alternative characters.

Strogino is a modern display pseudo-monospaced sans serif font. Due to the special design and some variants, all letters are easily identifiable though stuck together. It is as geometric as possible, being made with the simplest forms, capital letter sizes are exactly square. This allows to even create seamless patterns for backgrounds and watermarks. Diacritic can be added to any letter or even symbol and number, giving in total more than 1500 combinations! Strogino is perfect for logos, headings, titles, inscriptions, overlay text, backgrounds, and many more! Short paragraphs or quotes also look great with it. Introducing Rotten Banquet, our first victorian display font. This font inspired by 1800s typography design with some modern touch at it. We made this font without too much swashy efefct on the letterform. Just gave it two bold ripple floral effect at the tail is enough. So this font will more readable and not too complicated thus you could make any kind of projects with this font. In the preview we give you a sample ideas. We made it with one style design for the continuity but of course you could make your own style display for your own project purposes. This font contained with 370+ total glyphs. Each uppercase and lowercase have their own stylistic alternate at least one.

Giambattista Bodoni (1740–1813) was called the King of Printers and the Bodoni font owes its creation in 1767 to his masterful cutting techniques. Predecessors in a similar style were the typefaces of Pierre Simon Fournier (1712–1768) and the Didot family (1689–1836). The Bodoni font distinguishes itself through the strength of its characters and embodies the rational thinking of the Enlightenment. The new typefaces displaced the Old Face and Transitional styles and was the most popular typeface until the mid-19th century. Bodoni’s influence on typography was dominant until the end of the 19th century and, even today, inspires new creations. The Bodoni Classico of Franco Luin displays less stroke contrast than the original and is therefore also appropriate for smaller point sizes.

Stobart is a script font based on the characters written in a letter by Mr Henry Stobart, dated 1899. It contains over 1200 individual glyphs, supports the extended latin character set and includes a total of 8 different alphabet sets to make up the extensive OpenType contextual substitution needed to make the font appear as genuinely handwritten as possible. It is for this reason that Stobart is an exclusively OpenType font and is intended for use in an application that has advanced OpenType support, although it should be said that the font will work (as in appear) in any application on any operating system that supports the OpenType font format, albeit without all those delightful features that make it a connected script.

Back to 1880-1900 when a number of events were coming together, the country was evolving from a local market economy to mass merchandising, rail systems were being built and color lithography was becoming more affordable. The first rail cars full of oranges were being shipped from Southern California to the East - what a treat during a cold winter’s day. Labels were pasted on every fruit crate and these labels had large images of oranges and orange groves. With technological advances in soldered cans, canneries popped up all over the country. In order to market their products many California Canneries pooled their resources to form the California Fruit Canners Assn. in 1899. This font was inspired from that era. Loaded with alternates, swashes, stylistic and multilingual support.

After inventing a new metal typecasting procedure that allowed for the production of more detailed typefaces, the famous German typefoundry D. Stempel AG developed Kuenstler Script in 1902 - 1903. Originally called Kunstlerschreibschrift (artistic handwriting), this design was based on English copperplate script styles from the late 1800s. In 1957, Hans Bohn added the heavy Kuenstler Script Black weight to the family. Like intricate handwriting put to paper with a feather and an inkwell, Kuenstler Script makes almost any text look distinguished and elegant. Kuenstler Script is a joining script; and because of its fine hairlines and small x-height, it is best used at sizes above 12 pt. The typeface works well in advertising work and on invitations, greetings cards, business cards, and certificates.

Rodeo Clown is a revival of an old classic font that you may have known under the name of Carnival. The Rodeo Clown family includes Fill fonts that you may layer behind the letters to add color or set to white so any background image doesn't show through the letters. The half fill should be layered on top to change the color of the top inlay design. The fill font for Rodeo Clown may also work as a stand alone black weight. In our sales images you'll see a sample of the fill font being used, we've intentionally offset the fill font to give it a misaligned printed look which was common to see with fill fonts in the 1800's

Veteran designer Bo Berndal has created Cartesius, an oldstyle serif typeface with roots in the 16th and 17th centuries, France and Venice. Bo Berndal: "Rene Decartes, the great French philosopher, was invited to Sweden in the 17th century, when the country was at the height of its power. In the university city of Uppsala he used the Latin name form Cartesius. The typeface that carries his name is inspired by letterforms from the 1600s, but upper case letters are of pure Roman type". Cartesius holds up well even under less than perfect circumstances, and is suitable for magazine and book design. It comes with a full range of styles, including small caps. Swedish type foundry T4 premiere new fonts every month. Cartesius is our fifth introduction.

Edison Swirl, with its terminals majestically looping and twirling in a circular fashion, quickly takes us back to the Victorian era of type. This unusual fancy face, which dates back to the early 1900s, distinguishes itself by employing splayed M & N caps. Some letterforms also contain double cross-strokes for added interest. Edison Swirl is full of ornament and detail which creates a truly striking pattern of intrigue and delight. Edison Swirl is also available in the OpenType Std format. Some new characters have been added to this OpenType version. Advanced features currently work in Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress 7. Check for OpenType advanced feature support in other applications as it gradually becomes available with upgrades.

Shelf is a humanistic sans-serif font of cool and solid character. Its frugal, clean and organic drawing as well as its name were inspired by the ice shelf landscape. Shelf was designed as a universal tool for creating a coherent information and navigation systems with accompanying publications, such as visual identity of exhibitions including catalogues. It is suggested to set long texts in Roman and Italic, while the best combination for a wayfinding system is Roman and Oblique. Every weight, therefore, contains Roman, Italic and Oblique versions. The variety of over 1500 glyphs constitutes a rich set of Latin script characters. Shelf includes small caps, a broad set of figures, a wide set of alternative style variants, arrows and a number of OpenType features.

The Swedish designer/typographer Anders Bodebeck designed the Bodebeck type family in 2002. The family, which includes five different styles, is primarily intended for use as a titling, or display face, and belongs to the neo-transitional style of typefaces. Transitional style type first appeared in England during the late 1750s, when John Baskerville released his first sets of type. Bodeck bears similarities to another, later transitional style typeface as well - Eric Gill's Perpetua (originally released by the British Monotype Corporation in 1928). Like these two previous English stonecutters turned masters of typography, Anders Bodebeck has given us a modern re-interpretation of classic letterforms. Bodebeck, which is fitted with old style figures, is available in the following styles: Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic, and Extra Bold."

The hand composition typeface was developed at the Ossip Lehmann type foundry (St. Petersburg) in 1904-07 (after designs by Alexander Leo?). It was redeveloped at Polygraphmash in 1960s for slugcasting composition. Named after Russian Empress Elizabeth I (1709-61). Based on typefaces of George Revillon type foundry of 1840s, though some characters’ shapes were redrawn similar to Russian Academy of Sciences typefaces (mid-18th century). Sharp contrast, strong weight Modern Serif with archaic flavor. The typeface is useful in text and display composition, in fiction, historical, and art books, especially connected to the 18th or 19th centuries. It looks great in Russian classical literature such as Pushkin and Gogol works. The revised, improved and completed digital version was designed at ParaType in 2001 by Lyubov Kuznetsova.

The design of Graublau Sans Pro took Georg Seifert over 5 years. With 7 weights and over 1000 glyphs per style, Graublau Sans is a type family that suits all typographic tasks. The regular styles have a rather clean and neutral appearance. The italics on the other hand, have a vivid design based on handwriting. Since 2017, I have been improving my font creating skills. In the same year, I went through my father's notes and decided to make a font with his handwriting style. Unlike previous dingbat fonts released from Lanston Type Co., Archive Ornaments derives from a unique collection of brass ornament plates that were originally used in creating the matrices for casting metal type. Using the plates as a reference point allowed for a more precise rendering of the ornaments. Letterpress prints were made directly from the brass plates, which were then re-drawn and digitized. Each character has been optimized for the combination of decorative borders and patterns as well as individual accentuation. The completed digitized font contains over 100 glyphs, ranging in style from geometric to organic designs.
