Das Riese, a type specimen by the most productive Brazilian type foundry, Intellecta Design, is a mix of victorian and art deco influences. A beautiful display type for tiling with uppercases only. It's shadows and volumes refer to pre-modern age whereas its surface to last century 20's. This heavy sans serif strokes characters have a particular appearance, a parallel line texture that reminds Bifur, typeface created in 1929 by A. M. Cassandre. Dorriss girls were the dancing troop at the Moulin Rouge. I had the idea for this font while trying to come up with an alternative to beveling. I thought it would be interesting to create this sort of stepped effect as I've never really seen this treatment on a font before. Then my need to create chaos shows up again with Doriss Girls informal. A hand drawn take on the forms. This seemed like it would appear on an old art nouveau poster by the great Toulouse Lautrec, so there you have the genesis of this font. I've been somewhat compelled by the letterforms so I may expand and create a more normal version of this font someday with a range of weights. That would be the bees knees.

The Pergamon series is a creation of Alfons Schneider (1890–1946) and was issued by the foundry of Ludwig Wagner in Leipzig in 1937/1940, though the website of the Klingspor-Museum says that several of the faces were probably produced after the death of Schneider. This digital version is extended with the necessary OT characters and signs, while also the “символы кириллицы” are added. Also, in addition to the members of the family designed by Schneider, regular, italic, bold and bold italic extended versions were produced. @andinistas presents Bleak , an experimental font designed by #carlosfabiancg. Bleak is based on the imaginative use of contrast applied in the empty space and on the dramatic distributions of the wide and compressed horizontal of more than 400 textured symmetric capitals inspired by compositions of the Lissitzky, Theo van Doesburg, among others. In the Europe of the 20s, scarce resources prevailed, which gave these great artists the firm determination and dedication to create a visual vocabulary, characteristic of the composition with movable types of wood and metal. As they did not readily dispose of the forms of the letters they required, they did not hesitate to construct them with metal rulers, ornaments and other improvised pieces and remains and obtained in the forgotten corners of the typographic composition workshop.

Arnold Therhoernen. (Arnoldus ther Hornen, Drucker des Dictys , Arnold ter Hoernen, Arnold ther Hoernen, Arnoldus TherHornen.) Who was this guy? He was a printer active in the city of Cologne, having graduating from the university there. He learned his craft under Ulrich Zell. He printed books from 1470 to 1482 when the plague carried him off. Was he just another printer of the era? No, he brought out the first edition of the "Fasciculus temporum'' (The most popular work by a living author at that time.) And he was the first to use both a title page and page numbers. His page numbers, an idea probably suggested to him by Werner Rolevinck, were interesting in that they were centered half way down the page on the outer margin and were set in Roman Numerals.

Telemark is a monolinear slab serif influenced by the wide serif typefaces of the 19th century. The name refers to the vintage form of skiing which was introduced in Norway at the same period of time and allowed more fluid turns. After the Telemark style was replaced by newer techniques in the Alpine countries it has experienced a rise in popularity in recent years. The Telemark type family features the three weights in an additional label style which allows an uncomplicated creation of editable pointers, banners and cartouches. Different combinations of end pieces result in a great variety of designs. Telemark is suitable for headlines and logotypes and complements script typefaces as well as any neutral grotesque. Seasick and Seasick-Mirror features wobbly, wavy, distorted letters. They were derived from the almost monoline font Kwersity. The letters of Seasick have a slight backward slant and the letters of SeasickMirror have a slight forward slant. Each of them comes in four weights: Light, Regular, Bold, and ExtraBold.

We have transformed the “99 names of ALLAH” into a font. That means each key on your keyboard represents 1 of the 99 names of ALLAH Aaza Wajal. The fonts work with both the English and Arabic Keyboards. We call this Calligraphy "Elegant" because we thought this is the most elegant one we have designed. Peter Behrens’ renowned art nouveau type from 1902 – with ornaments. Newly revised and neatly digitalized by Ingo Zimmermann In 1902, Peter Behrens (1869–1940), architect, designer and typographer, created a new ”German“ type which became very successful very quickly for the Rudhard’sche Gießerei (foundry which later became Gebr. Klingspor AG) in Offenbach am Main. It served, for example, as the official German type for the world expositions in 1904 and 1910. Behrens himself writes about the development of this type ”...For the actual form of my type, I took the technical principle of the Gothic script, the stroke of the quill feather. The proportions of height and width and the boldness of the strokes of the Gothic letters were also decisive for me in producing a German character. A cohesive character could be hoped for by avoiding all non-necessities and by strictly carrying out the design principle of holding the quill at an angle…“ By the way, when “long s” is activated, the typographically correct “round s” is automatically placed at the end of the word so that you need only pay attention to the correct s on syllable endings within words. So often as a designer I have wanted a handwriting font that is modern, natural and realistic, simple and attractive. I created this font to meet my own need. Teacher's Pet makes full use of the knowledge I have acquired over the years designing school handwriting fonts. It contains many contextual alternates to ensure that the flow of writing is as unartificial as possible. I have been disciplined in its creation, always making and coding a new glyph to ensure this flow rather than compromising.

Peanuts are a good source of healthful fats, protein and fiber - and besides that, I looove peanuts! Every once in a while, I have to name a font peanut-something. But I only do that with fonts that have that organic and handmade look and feeling ... and in this case, this font looked perfect to have the honour! :) Peanut Jam is super handmade and has 4 different versions of each lowercase letter and besides that, the font has multilingual support! Shallot is a serif font family with sharp and exquisite characteristic. The initial letterforms are made not completely based on calligraphic strokes, which make it more likely close to transitional serif style. The letterforms have high contrast strokes and sharp serif with curved brackets. The upright styles have a fairly wide proportion. The italic styles have 12 degree angle and redrawn lowercase letters. Shallot consist of 4 styles from regular to extrabold with each matching italics. It contains 462 glyphs that support broad latin languages.

The hands in this font are the pointing, counting, threatening, signaling, demonstrating and playing hands I use in my own design projects. I have drawn them all with a felt-tip marker, scanned and digitized for use in a font. This picture font is more user-friendly than having single ps-files.
