A tessellation is a shape that can be used to completely fill the plane—simple examples are isosceles triangles, squares, and hexagons. Tessellation patterns are eye-catching and visually appealing, which is the reason that they have long been popular in a variety of decorative situations. These Tessie fonts have two family members, a solid style that must have different colors when used and an outline style. They can be used separately or they can be used in layers with the outline style on top of the solid style. For rows to align properly, leading must be the same as point size. To see how patterns can be constructed, see the “Samples” file here. TessieBugs contains shapes that resemble insects such as moths, ants, butterflies, and weevils. (Earlier tessellation fonts from IngrimayneType, the TessieDingies fonts, lack a black or filled version so cannot do colored patterns. The addition of a solid style that must be colored makes these new fonts a bit more difficult to use but offers far greater possibilities in getting visually interesting results.)

Dan X. Solo's book of Showcard Alphabets featured the pattern for this devil-may-care face under the name "Conway". Not too pretty, not too proud, but a whole lotta fun. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

Bertoni is a high contrast Didone family of twenty faces, which combines extreme legibility with distinctive character. It is able to hold its own in modern usage while having features rooted in a deep period charm. The family includes two widths as well as two weights. Bertoni regular, bold and wide are small capitals faces ideal for posters, book covers, packaging and signage. The text faces are body faces which form the ideal accompaniment. For more distinctive features, the Title, Capitals (all capitals, but in two forms) and Flamboyant faces are ideal. Bertoni offers a blend of the modern with classical revivalist charm which makes it up to the minute and never out of place. The family is extensive enough to form the foundation of a commercial house style, but can also lend an element of character in single usage.

Yalla was inspired during a trip Mateusz Machalski took to Cairo (Egypt). The vast array of strong Arabic headline type, geometric forms working in interesting ways and contrasting with smooth, calligraphic details fed the design. Due to the same proportions and heights, Yalla works great together with Afronaut.

It was our initial intention to develop a suitable lowercase for Les Usherwood's Elston typeface, based on a few characters from an old German typeface called Hermes Grotesque (Woellmer, Berlin). However, the new design quickly took on a life of its own, and we decided to call it ‘Creighton’.

A simple, handwritten font entitled "Amateur Calligraphist" My personal handwriting created with a unique calligraphy-like pen tool in order to create a genuine and unique font that is reminiscent of old english letters written to loved ones. This font gives the personal touch of a person's handwriting, but can also be used to enhance a pirate-style or victorian-era-style theme.

Arcadian was first produced in wood type around 1870 by William H. Page & Company. It is a semi-ornamented face based on a French Clarendon, with dots added to the median and the tops and bottoms of the letters. It has a distinctly “Old West” feel, and was likely used to add a little pizzazz to advertising and broadsides of the time.

"BD Supper" is a friendly and humorous geometric-organic sans serif typeface great for use on food packaging and in gastronomy-related topics. It features a wide selection of alternate characters to choose from. Use them as you like. With two weights regular and bold, «BD Supper» fits the needs to structure a body text with a headline and to create logotypes.

When you hear that name, you likely ask yourself, ‘why?!’ I did too, but the number of requests could not be ignored. Once I finally decided to move forward with it, the only way to solve the offering would be to adhere to the same theme of indulgence, I planned for the same number of optical weights AND Italics. Yeah, italic stencils… ok, why not? It’s not a new concept. One thing to note and a creative liberty I assumed during the design. Lust Stencil would not be just a redaction or removal of stress to produce a quick stencil. To do that, would just be a cheap solution. Strokes had to resolve themselves correctly and/or uniquely to the concept of the stencil format. And, it had to be heftier. For it it to look correctly, it needed about 8% additional mass to the strokes for it to retain the effervescent flow of the curves and the resolute scalloped lachrymals. The Lust Collection is the culmination of 5 years of exploration and development, and I am very excited to share it with everyone. When the original Lust was first conceived in 2010 and released a year and half later, I had planned for a Script and a Sans to accompany it. The Script was released about a year later, but I paused the Sans. The primary reason was the amount of feedback and requests I was receiving for alternate versions, expansions, and ‘hey, have you considered making?’ and so on. I listen to my customers and what they are needing… and besides, I was stalling with the Sans. Like Optima and other earlier high-contrast sans, they are difficult to deliver responsibly without suffering from ill-conceived excess or timidity. The new Lust Collection aggregates all of that past customer feedback and distills it into 6 separate families, each adhering to the original Lust precept of exercises in indulgence and each based in large part on the original 2010 exemplars produced for Lust. I just hate that it took so long to deliver, but better right, than rushed, I imagine. It would have taken even longer if not for font engineer and designer, Potch Auacherdkul. Thanks Potch.

Fiesole was inspired by calligraphic models; it is a bookface font family to be used for text, display and caption. Fiesole has three different lengths of items (ascenders-descenders). Soutumi was conceived of this challenge; it's vain purpose as such is more meaningful than the forms or any other semiotics that make up itself. Whereas Multipolar took me 9 months to complete, Soutumi was finished within the span of 3, and also sports three times more ampersand alternatives (as that theme was a running joke in Multipolar).

A self made bamboo or reed stick nicely cut down to a broad edged nib must have been the tool with which the designer Andrew Weed wrote his letters for the typeface Pine.Its irregular outline is the result of the flowing of the ink. OverUnder is a two font family that plays with the capabilities of the Opentype feature of Contextual Alternatives to alternate two sets of characters. One set is on tall vertical slabs and the other set is on wide horizontal slabs, and when the sets are alternated, the result is a pattern that has a woven appearance.

Here's an amalgam of letterforms from two giants of the handlettering pantheon: an uppercase based on the work of Mike Stevens, and a lowercase based on the work of Alf Becker. The two work in perfect harmony to create warm, friendly and engaging headlines. Both versions contain the complete Latin 1252, Central European 1250 and Turkish 1254 character sets.

Al Harf Al Jadid is a traditional-style Arabic display typeface. Al Harf Al Jadid Two is an outline version of Al Harf Al Jadid One. Although their design is ultra bold, its forms remain a readable Naskh, in response to the needs of secular lettering for emphatic headlines and signs. Al Harf Al Jadid One and Two are characterized by a distinctive, strong baseline-stroke, reminiscent of a similar hand-rendered technique traditionally used in Arabic calligraphy to achieve a bold appearance. Initially developed as digital fonts by Linotype-Hell Ltd. in the mid-1980s, Al Harf Al Jadid One and Two have remained amongst the most popular heading faces used in Arabic magazine and newspaper publication.

Grungy Old Typewriter is based on two typed letters, each on two pages and dated 1901. The results are eroded, rough, irregular and grungy. The final results are a vintage look. As a designer, I wanted as much flexibility as possible, so there are six versions that are designed to work together. Additionally, I decided to keep the grunge and irregularities within the shape and not include surrounding typewriter or paper marks. I leave it to the design to add those elements as desired. One note, the letter spacing is much tighter than an old typewriter. I felt that readability for modern readers suffered from the added space. Of course, you can get that same look by increasing the letter spacing in your favorite design program.

Back in late 2019, Wahyu Wibowo designed a logotype for Wahyu and Sani Co., he decided to shorten the name to be WSCo. for the logo. Then by the end year of 2021, he got an idea to develop the typeface he did for the logo and start developing a font family which can be used for company branding. Now the typeface has come to life with the name "Warkat". The font family comes in two styles, upright and italic. It has 14 styles in total and additional two variable fonts. Father Frost, or Grandfather Frost is the Santa Claus of Slavic countries. He used to wear a red coat, like his ho-ho-ho colleague, but when that was deemed too Bourgeois and Western by the Soviets, he changed into a blue coat. Father Frost is a very happy, very legible font, ideal for Christmas cards, posters and ads! Father Frost comes with a bagful of language support.

I designed this font because it didn't exist - it’s based on hand rendered type created for black and white line marker scamps used in the advertising industry. I use it that way and it’s saved me a LOT of hand-rendering time over the years. Of course, Scamps works as an informal marker script in its own right too. I’ll be interested to see what you do with it.

When I was surfing the internet, with rock n 'roll music. I accidentally found a picture of a hotel sign with a very unique style, namely: Mid-century Modern (MCM). It looks very pretty and charming to me. And inspired me to create Font Family. And I am proud to present the Vallery Hills Font Family. This font is in the Retro style of the 50s to 60s. Okay, here are the specifications. 1. Vallery Hills Schrift There is one unique thing about this font. Usually, script fonts with Retro style always have an angled anatomical shape, but I made this font upright. The goal is to make a difference with other script fonts I've seen. By the way, this font comes in two styles, namely: Regular and Bouncy. Why do I make it like that? Because I want to make this font into two different functions, namely: If you want to make it a Display Font, which is usually used for Headings, then use the Bouncy style. And if you want to use it as Bodytext, then use Regular. 2. Vallery Hills Sherift This second font is a font that is very synonymous with the Mid-century Modern (MCM) era. A very distinctive form of the serif font of that era. Similar to the first font, this font also has 2 styles, namely: Regular and Bouncy. You can combine this font with the other two fonts in Vallery Hills. It could be Title, or Bodytext. And you can also combine two styles, namely: Regular and Bouncy. Try! 3. Vallery Hills Suns Sherift This last font is Sans Serif. Also has 2 styles like his two brothers, namely: Regular and Bouncy. The goal is actually the same. I am sure you are cooler to create a design that uses this font family. Well, there is one advantage of this font from its two siblings, which is that it has a feature, namely: SMALLCAPS. Which will be an option when you are bored with the mediocre shape or style of Lowercase. Try combining the Smallcaps with Uppercase or Lowercase. Must be cool! : D Oops, almost forgot. This font consists of several font formats, namely: OTF, TTF, and Webfonts. And of course everything is MULTILANGUAGE. OK, friends. That's all I can describe about the Vallery Hills Family. Sildetas is an elegant high-contrast script face. Sildetas was conceived as non-connected, high-contrast and ultra heavy script, as best exemplified by the Black weight. However, it was too much of a temptation to design a hairline variant, and this exploration gave the family’s lighter weights an elegant, graceful feel. The script was modified further to use connected letterforms as the primary glyphs. With its unique swirled ball terminals, this versatile script draws immediate attention. The face glides and flows across the page and the swirling ball terminals provide an interesting diversion to the flow. The lighter weights have an almost spencerian look. Sildetas includes six weights and is a very unique script face. Lighter weights can be used for elegant invitiations. Sildetas can get the job done for many unique design tasks. Sildetas includes many useful OpenType features, including a set of non-connecting and titling alternates, ligatures, and two types of end swashes. Opentype features include simplified swashed stylistic alternates without ball terminals, swash endings, ending contextual alternates, discretionary ligatures, ligatures and five different stylistic sets filled with alternates. In total, there are over 60 alternate letterforms. OpenType-capable applications such as Quark or the Adobe suite can take full advantage of the automatically replacing ligatures and alternates. This family also includes the glyphs to support a wide range of languages.

MVB Embarcadero lies in a space between grotesque sans serifs and the vernacular signage lettering drawn by engineers. It’s a style that happens to convey credibility and forthrightness without pretense—it’s anti-style, actually. All of this makes for the most versatile of typefaces, capable of delivering any kind of message while staying out of the way. As is often the case with a type design that develops over several years, Embarcadero isn’t the realization of a specific concept. In the ’90s Mark van Bronkhorst began digitizing a blocky slab serif from the Victorian era, which was then set aside for many years. He later revisited the design, paring it down to its bare essentials, and as more time passed, it evolved from a grid-based outline to curves that echoed the rigid skeleton of the original. Eventually it became a complete family with all the readability requirements of a text sans serif, yet maintaining the subtle eccentricities of its inspiration. Functionally, the Embarcadero family is as adaptable as its design. The OpenType Pro set of 20 fonts contains two widths and five weights, each with italics, small caps, a full set of figures, bullets and arrows, and support for most Latin-based languages. In all, Embarcadero is suitable for headlines or text. And—thanks to its simple, square form—it’s ideal for type on screen too.
