Admiral was inspired by and extrapolated from the Art Nouveau lettering incised into the facade of a local hostelry. This gave us some inspiration for the capitals 'A', 'B', 'C', 'E', 'H', 'I', 'L', 'O', 'S', 'T' and 'U'; we then had great fun extrapolating the rest! The source of the name Admiral can be spotted if you look at characters such as 'A', 'H' and 'N'. Display Explicit is a display font not intended for text use. It was designed specifically for display, headline, logotype, branding, and similar applications. A blackletter font tending towards the gothic which was released by Klingspor, Offenbach am Main, in 1937. Claudius can be used for clerical as well as for secular purposes and shows a strong character of its own. The original esthetic atrocities of placing the dieresis within the letters A and O - due to former German industry standards - were abolished. Allow the font's beauty spread by giving it enough leading between the lines. This font contains various useful ligatures, and by activating the Ordinals feature and typing 'N', 'o' and period you get an oldstyle numbersign.

MB Narrow is a very compressed display font that comes in three weights. with is full use of the 20 stylistic sets it gives the user a lot of scope to how it look. without using them it has a very rounded and geometric look but with alternates for the Capital A, M, N, V, W, X, Y and the lowercase a, f, g, v, w, x & y you can create a more traditional 'movie poster' look. with standard & discretional ligatures and oldstyle figures there are plenty of opentype features.

A biscuit and a cup of coffee, a biscuit and a cup of tee ... both are obvious - but what about a biscuit and a glass of juice? I loved that combination as a kid (and I even crumbled the biscuit in the juice...yuck...I wouldn't do that today!!! Anyway, here you have a legible uppercase font with a nice handmade look. I've added 4 different versions of each letter, which makes the font look really nice and slightly jumpy. I even added two nice swashes to the N and K. Enjoy!

Thorowgood was originally released by the Stephenson Blake typefoundry in the UK. The types were first cut by the English typefounder Robert Thorne, predecessor of William Thorowgood, and first shown in his specimen books in the early nineteenth century. The fat face was revived in roman (1953) and italic. The S and the C appear to be smaller than the other capitals. Most serifs are flat and thin horizontals. In the italic the main strokes of h, k, m, n, and r are curved inwards at the foot.

A clean and balanced humanist grotesque. Like many an alchemical process, this font had to be designed and redesigned from the ground up many times. Each time it blew up in the designer's face until finally the conditions and process were in perfect alignment and this new font was born.

Calamity Wayne is a reverse-contrast slab serif, inspired by the ‘wild west’ French Clarendons (aka Italians or Egyptians) of the late-1800s. Despite the idiosyncrasies that make it ideal for display and headline uses, it is also surprisingly legible in text settings. Calamity Wayne supports Latin, Cyrillic and Greek, and is available in OTF and TTF formats. A mediterranean style sanserif in 4 styles The original idea of Costa was to create a contemporary mediterranean typeface style. Costa is a synthesis of the purity, as found on Greek capitals, and softness, found in Renaissance scripts. First thing was the design concept that take its roots on the Chancery script. Such writing style appeared during Italian Renaissance. Later few typefaces have been developed from such cursive models. Today most serifed typeface italic take their roots on such triangular structure we can find on gylphs like the n, p, or d. The Costa capitals remains close to pure sanserif models when the lowercases features an ending serif on many letters like the a, n, d, etc. This ending serif being more like a minimal brush effect, creating a visual contrast and referencing the exoticness of the typeface. Knowing that the Costa typeface family began life in the 90s as a bespoke typeface for Costa Crociere, an Italian cruise company — it suddenly makes sense and explains well why Jean François Porchez focused so much on Italian Chancery mixed to a certain exotism. The curvy-pointed terminals of the Costa n can obviously get find on other glyphs, such as the ending of the e, c and some capitals. So, the sanserif looks more soft and appealing, without to be to pudgy or spineless. The general effect, when set for text, remains a sanserif, even not like Rotis Semiserif. Costa is definitly not a classical typeface, or serif typeface which convey past, tradition, historicism as Garamond does beautifully. Because of the Costa crocieres original needs, Costa typeface was designed to be appropriate for any uses. Anytime you’re looking for good mood, qualitative effects, informal tone, cool atmosphere without to be unconvential or blowzy, Costa will convey to your design the required chic and nice atmosphere, from large headlines sizes, brands, to small text sizes. It’s a legible typeface, never boring. A style without neutrality which doesn’t fit comfortably into any typeface classification! Does it proves the novelty of its design and guarantees as well as its originality? Its up to you to be convinced. Barcelona trip Originally not planned, this need appeared because of a trip to Barcelona at the time of the project, where Jean François was giving a lecture. He wanted to pay an homage to that invitation to create something special. So, he designed during his flight some variations of the Spanish Ch, following ideas developed by the Argentinian type designer Rubén Fontana for his typeface called Fontana ND (published by the Barcelona foundry Bauer). Then, he presented during his lecture variations and asked to the audience which design fit the best to their language. They selected the design you can find in the fonts today. Lichtspielhaus Slab is an ultra condensed handwritten typeface based on Lichtspielhaus. It still transports you back to a time where neon lights and marquee letters decorated cinema facades. This time with Slab. There are 8 styles: Hairline, Thin, Light, Regular, Medium, Bold, Black and Heavy. “Lichtspielhaus Slab” is the third part of a Type Noir Quadrilogy.

Based on Times New Roman of Monotype, 1932, by Stanley Morison and Victor Lardent, and other versions of Times. It has many characteristics of an Old Style serif faces; it was designed for better legibility in combination with good economy. Widely used in books and magazines, reports and office documents, and also for display and advertising.

Spirrevip is for that moment when you need something legible, organic and obviously handmade at the same time. The letters are straightforward, yet variable in thickness of strokes, height and width. Spirrevip is definitely playful and serious at the same time. I have added 5 slightly different versions of each letter, and they automatically changes as you type!

Quintet is a narrow, stylized sans serif font made up of thin, looping lines. This font tries to walk the line between retro and modern and to incorporate some hand drawn imperfections without being too obvious about it. I kicked off designing without any particular inspiration in mind but, as time went on, started associating it in my head with an old-timey, swingy jazz aesthetic. So hopefully it captures the spirit of the Jeeves and Wooster throwback theme song and opening credits, the music of Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt (who the name is a nod to), and countless album covers from that era.

In 1905 Berthold released an engraved blackletter font called Prinzess Kupferstichschrift. Based on an old printed remnant, I revived this beautiful open-face fraktur and enriched it with several OpenType features. As usual in my blackletter fonts, the round ‘s’ lies on the number sign key, and a traditional number sign can be accessed via the Discretionary Ligature feature and typing 'N-r-period'. In this font you have also the possibility to turn I, V, X, L, C, D, and M into Roman numerals by activating the Stylistic Alternates feature. And last but not least, various useful ligatures polish up this font.

First Prize typeface has simple shapes. It is a narrow, heavy sans serif typeface with geometrical logic and quite predictable constructions of characters. The idea behind it was to combine constructed structure of the skeleton and some calligraphic ideas, swashes and cursiveness. At the moment First Prize typeface consists of three narrow styles: bold, upright italic and italic. Cursive weights have beautiful ending swashes and initials. There are few alternative shapes for A&N. As a Display typeface First Prize will work very well with any other typefaces for the good of any project in print or online.

Acherus Feral is sharpened version of Acherus Grotesque. In this new version all sharp edges are flattened and rounded corners are sharpened. Alternative character "G" and optional "t" character have been added. Some of the characters like "A,K,M,N,Q,R,V,W,Z,v,w,z" have been changed completely for the stability of the typeface, in this way it looks more confident and serious. Vandermark began as a simple daydream of what became the 'n' glyph. I considered the elegant balance of a terminal stroke that would never join its supporting stem. The premise was simple, but further experimentation was required for other parts of the alphabet. Vandermark follows a somewhat flexible array of structural rules and curve arrangements that called for considerable sketching to harmonize. The names I choose for my typefaces have to look decent when set in the signature type. Considering its improvisational development, it was only fitting that the namesake is a jazz musician and fellow Chicagoan, Ken Vandermark.

Stick-A-Round started as an attempt to domesticate the wild ​Daft Brush font. During the process, though, it begun taking its own shape and personality, with friendly rounded terminals, dynamic interlock pairs and lots of alternates.
