And Tempus Sans is just Tempus with the serif surgically removed, yet the proportions of the characters work nicely," says Grimshaw. Because of its rough quality, the typeface works best in larger point sizes, yet maintains its characters even in smaller sizes."

Hanna has its roots in the Plato and Cilantro fonts published earlier by Wilton Foundry. It is an informal roman and very legible at any size - a rare combination for many applications. Hanna was specifically designed to generate additional income for an orphanage in Ethiopia. Hanna Teshome runs an orphanage of roughly 140 children in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She is an amazing lady with a deep passion for orphan kids as well as innocent kids that find themselves in jail because their mothers have been imprisoned - they are treated as prisoners and are typically sexually abused - it is not uncommon for them to commit suicide when they are released from jail at age 18. Most of the orphans end up with Hanna because one or both of their parents have died from AIDS. Hanna relies entirely on donations to keep her orphanage running and this font is a small but tangible way for you to help make a difference in the lives of the orphan kids. I am committed to helping Hanna after visiting the orphanage several times and seeing the jails from where the kids have been rescued. Hanna is my hero because she stepped out of her comfort zone, with no financial support, to take care of the kids. My hope is that you will use this font as a messenger of good. Analogia is a digital interpretation of types used in the mid-18th century in books printed at Leuven by Martin van Overbeke. It is intended primarily for use in running text. The roman is businesslike, yet with a distinct personality; it has a generous x-height and is slightly condensed, though without appearing cramped. It is complemented by a more lively italic, which retains some irregularities in the angle of slant that are characteristic of the original. Analogia provides wide support for west, central, and east European languages that use the roman alphabet. Among its OpenType features are ligatures, small caps, several sets of numerals, contextual alternates, intelligent implementation of long ‘s’, and fractions. This is Range Sans, the sans-serif counterpart to Range Serif . It can be categorized as a grotesque, with the idiosyncratic angular details from the serif family making themselves known in the arches and bowls of the lower case. The range of weights is larger than Range Serif, with two more weights at the lighter end of the spectrum. The weights from light to black correspond to their seriffed sisters, so can be interchanged with them freely while maintaining a similar text color and vertical metrics. This is useful for adding emphasis; Range Sans is deliberately lacking an italic, but the italics from Range Serif work better than you might expect in running text, particularly for the light and regular weights. Range Sans has a contemporary, somewhat geometric look that lends itself to uses such as corporate identities, minimalist graphic design, and logos. The middle weights do work well in running text, however, with the angled details being less noticeable at small sizes. Straits is an oddball fun ALL-CAPS font, a modern take / re-imagining of some old Art Deco signage and a sister to my other font Penang. The font is available in 2 weights for now, a light and a medium. In general I think ALL-CAPS steal 26 characters from you, so each letter in each case is a little different, however subtly. This being an ALL-CAPS font I imagine it will work best in Headlines and other bold statements, but buy it and find out. The font is loaded with plenty of extras and glyphs. This was designed to be fun, so I hope you can have some with it.

The inspiration came from history, namely from two of the most legible typefaces known: Garamond and Gill Sans. The new typeface boasts a smooth, easy-on-the-eyes texture which allows the reader to simply sink into the text. It also posses a set of true italics to compliment it. Phrasa has a broad linguistic range, spanning from extended latin alphabet to cyrillic.

Berryfield started as an experiment: making a font entirely out of geometric shapes. It started with a couple of circles and a couple of rectangles, and was constructed entirely from those parts, and parts made from those parts! For the uppercase, I took style inspiration from the heavy serif classics. But when it came time to create the lowercase set, I took a sharp turn and looked to fun unicase fonts, creating uppercase-height lowercase letters, in addition to uppercase alternates. When I finished Berryfield Regular, I liked it so much I made a lighter version (almost like a typewriter font), and a heavier version, to give you even more variety! Each font in the family contains over 520 characters, including over 300 extended Latin characters for language support. There are also a number of alternate letters to choose from, as well as superscript ordinals (ST, ND, RD, and TH), all of which are PUA-encoded for easy access no matter what design program you're using. Berryfield was a ton of fun to make, and I hope you have a ton of fun using it! It's smooth and easy for both print and crafting; the uppercase alone is straightforward enough for a magazine headline, but combining in the lowercase makes it quirky and fun.
