Mojito is a lively and vigorous calligraphic font based on a brush pen calligraphy. The author carefully rethought all of the character forms and created a very concise and clean outline that would look great in any size. Mojito has about 1,400 characters, including alternatives, ligatures, initial and final forms. That’s why letters are not repeated and their combinations look as natural as possible, especially in Cyrillic. For an all caps set in Mojito you can include the replacement of basic forms with the simplified ones, specifically designed for this purpose. Decano is a modern sans serif, ALL-CAPS, display font. Using a ten-sided polygon, or decagon for the usually circular characters and employing similar angles for the rest of the character set gives us some strong and interesting word forms. It’s great for branding, headlines, and signage.

Citrine is a study in curves, based upon word-processing and in-game text. A tall lowercase makes for easy reading, curved joints give it friendliness, and broad spacing delivers distinctive all-caps treatments. Here’s a downloadable PDF specimen. Citrine’s basic idea began as “a Havelock for reading.” Essential geometry delivers a sense of harmony, and forms sit broadly next to each other to be easily read, even onscreen and very small. Kidcut is a typeface created by cutting glyphs out of paper with scissors. The shapes are irregular, giving the impression of being cut out by a child. The typeface contains upper and lower case letters of the Latin alphabet (basic, Eastern, Western and South Western Europe, Vientamese and Pinyin) and three contextual alternates from each glyph, which is very important when there are three identical letters in one word - then we have the impression of handmade, not repetitive.

This is really Congo from Barnhart Bros. & Spindler, but we felt it would be improved if we smoothed out some of the curves slightly. Conjures up visions of Pacific Islands and other exotic ports of call.

Dorriss girls were the dancing troop at the Moulin Rouge. I had the idea for this font while trying to come up with an alternative to beveling. I thought it would be interesting to create this sort of stepped effect as I've never really seen this treatment on a font before. Then my need to create chaos shows up again with Doriss Girls informal. A hand drawn take on the forms. This seemed like it would appear on an old art nouveau poster by the great Toulouse Lautrec, so there you have the genesis of this font. I've been somewhat compelled by the letterforms so I may expand and create a more normal version of this font someday with a range of weights. That would be the bees knees.

Ciseaux was inspired and is dedicated to the art of paper cutting. Early paper cutting artists were often royalty, but it soon became a folk art practiced by commoners whose cutouts decorated their homes. By the seventeenth century it had spread throughout the world. The Japanese called it Mon-kiri, the German's Scherenschnitte and Turkey even boasted a guild devoted to the art form. In Poland the designs were traditionally symmetrical and often used layers of colors to form pictorial collages. When Russian invaders confiscated scissors, villagers were found to cut their intricate designs with sheep shears! The art form later developed into cutting out elaborate designs of nature scenes and people, celebrating special occasions and even decorating legal documents. Ciseaux letterforms mimic paper cutting art in its shapes with a rather loose and almost joyous rhythm. The overall effect is somewhat earthy and natural yet it has an element of sophistication that cannot be ignored. Just like paper cutting, Ciseaux can be used for special occasions like invitations, brochures, identities, restaurant menus, and if you dare, some awesome looking paper graffiti. Hangman's Delight is a scratchy, all caps font. The upper case letters come with swirls and curls, but the lower case letters are unadorned. A bit of an unusual font, I admit, but it would look nice on book covers and posters. Comes with some ligatures and stylistic alternates and a whole bunch of diacritics.
