A sign at the 81st Street (Museum of Natural History) New York subway stop provided the pattern for this mosaic tile face. The font features a full-tile background at the bar position (shift-backslash) and left-and-right pointing fists at the brace positions as well as complete Latin 1252 and Central European 1250 character sets.

Eat More Fruit JNL is an odd name for a typeface, but then again the lettering style of the font is just as unusual. Named for a 1940s-era poster espousing "Put more pep in your step... eat more fruit", the lettering (although Art Deco in nature) also evokes images of 1960s and 1970s hippie-era concert posters.

Macro Print is a display font available in a regular and a bold version. But it does not stop there. To create a unique, hand-printed feeling there are two sets within each version, therefore using the same letter twice in a headline will make the font look original and authentic. Hesse Antiqua is the very first typeface designed by Gudrun Zapf von Hesse. All 6 fonts use the characters A - K and a - k to show two planets/stars/moons moving across each other. Nice and simple. There's a different number of points on the stars, or they're different sizes, and some appear to pass left-to-right, and some appear to pass the other way. Just type in ABCDEFGHIJK or abcdefghijk and you'll see. Two fonts have all the characters on the same level, (All-Black and Black+White). The Offset font has the 'sun/moon' with one slightly above the other and in black and white, and Half has them all-black. Partial has them even further separated in 2-tone. NearMiss is a very close shave. Comma, hyphen, and full stop/period give just a single symbol; there's a Space, and that's it.

This set of letters and ornaments is loosely based on on a typeface that was offered by the DeVinne Press at the turn of the century. We can speculate from its name that this type was used as a display font to try to equate the look of letters on 15th and ­16th century heraldic cartouches, seals, stamps, medals and other inscriptional lettering. The sample was digitized with an “antiqued” outline to further enhance this ancient inscriptional theme. The letters were then grouped in the font with the more traditional Roman letters as the capitals and the Lombardic forms as the miniscules. The original type sample contained some unusual 15th century inscriptional numbers which have been included as extras in the font so the user the has the option to create an authentic looking design.

For a pulp magazine called Spicy Western Stories, it was unusual that the January 01, 1939 issue had its cover title hand lettered in an extra bold Art Deco style rather than Western influenced lettering. This did not stop the lettering from being used as the design model for a digital type revival. Pulp Magazine JNL, is available in both regular and oblique versions.

A 1928 poster for a café by German artist Karl Bauer informed the creation of this charming and expansive typeface.
