Grungy Old Typewriter is based on two typed letters, each on two pages and dated 1901. The results are eroded, rough, irregular and grungy. The final results are a vintage look. As a designer, I wanted as much flexibility as possible, so there are six versions that are designed to work together. Additionally, I decided to keep the grunge and irregularities within the shape and not include surrounding typewriter or paper marks. I leave it to the design to add those elements as desired. One note, the letter spacing is much tighter than an old typewriter. I felt that readability for modern readers suffered from the added space. Of course, you can get that same look by increasing the letter spacing in your favorite design program.

Los Lana Pro is a handmade display typeface. Unlike other font families, this type has not a modular structure, that is, each character has been individually designed. The coherence of structure elements across different characters is given by irregular strokes. This curveless typeface is perceived as being curved because of its straight lines, which form different-size angles. Los Lana Pro is a rustic typeface that captures the stereotypical “Andean hippie” handmade aesthetics. Irregular shapes and broken lines give it a distinct personality. These letters were developed to decorate the font Bowling and then were also used in the fonts Coffeemug and Teapot. For many years the InsideLetters family had only one family member, InsideLetters. An upgrade in early 2019 added two more family members, InsideLettersHalloween and InsideLettersXmas. The first puts the letters from InsideLetters on pumpkins and the second puts them on Christmas tree ornaments. In 2022 and oblique stye was added to the family. Inside letters is caps-only. It is a casual and playful handwritten sans-serif font.

The family tree of this friendly face runs deep. Its primary inspiration is Twentieth Century, designed by Saul Hess as a monoline version of Paul Renner’s Futura. The design was reinterpreted by Herb Lubalin as Avant Garde in the 1970s. This version softens the harsh geometry of the original designs with rounded line endings: the result is a warm, inviting face that is elegant, confident and inviting. All versions of this font include the Unicode 1250 Central European character set in addition to the standard Unicode 1252 Latin set.

Liquoia are three scripts with lots of contrast and different embellishments. Liquoia-A has the elegant, flaming decoration it blends well with Fleurons-Six. Liquoia-B has the flowery embellishments and goes very well with my Ornata-A and Ornata-B. Liquoia-C is the plain, straightforward and solid floating script. The name is derived from "liquid", meaning it is a fluid script that has a distinctive waveform. The "oia" part of the name comes from Sequoia, the sturdiest tree that came to my mind. Mrs Summer is a hand drawn narrow typeface with a Western touch. It has only uppercase characters with alternate glyphs in place of lowercase letters and additional alternate glyph in a Stylistic Set. It has build in OpenType Contextual Alternates feature that will automatically set alternate glyphs depending on frequency of appearance of the same character (even in web font but only in HTML5 browsers). The script doesn’t just throw random glyphs. Additionally Mrs Summer is filled with ornaments, arrows, stars, horses, trees and a lot of other symbols.

Vaudeville JNL started out as the re-drawing of an angular Art Deco font hand-lettered on some old publications for sale online. After completing the basic alphabet, it was realized that it just didn't look good -- so a more traditional letter form was adapted to represent the style and times.
