Bon Ami is a hand lettered condensed font perfect to add a fun feel and individual look to everything you create including cards & invites, logos, souvenirs, stationary, and so on. It also works perfectly when pairing with other fonts, f.e. with my Paramaribo font (as in the image with the cupcake). The font consists of Latin multilingual support as well as uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and basic punctuations.

It has an urban and, I like to think, urbane character which puts me in mind of classic Thirties architecture like the Rockefeller Centre or the Empire State Building. I did consider calling it Rockefeller, but the family might think it a bit of a liberty, and I can’t afford to get into a copyright battle with them!

Sheet music for the 1915 song "Is There Still Room for Me Neath the Old Apple Tree" had the title hand-lettered in a condensed, square sans serif. Although far from the more decorative lettering styles of the Art Nouveau period, this type of simple understatement was also a popular choice for the illustrators of the day. It is presented digitally as Nouveau Square JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

Cruz Cantera is a crisp and stylish yet informal sans serif typeface created by NYC type designer Ray Cruz. It is a slightly condensed design. The vertical strokes have rounded terminals, and there are some characters with serifs. Notable characters include the upper and lowercase E. The Federal Music Project was part of Franklin D. Roosevelt's WPA (Works Progress Administration), putting many people back to work in the Depression years of the 1930s.
