Carousel is a fat faces display type designed by Gary Gillot in 1966. Fat faces were offshoots of the modern, or Didone, typefaces that were de rigueur during the early 1800s. Carousel could be called an optimization of these old advertising typefaces. Graffiti Classic is a graffiti font that blends the improvisational urban quality of graffiti with the smoothness and regularity of a typeface. Growing up in Brooklyn, graffiti appeared to me as an explosion of expression and color in a sea of concrete. Inspired, I became a graffiti artist and practiced in both notebooks and subway tunnels. While I moved on to somewhat more traditional art forms in future years, with Graffiti Classic I pay homage to my artistic roots in a calligraphy marker/tag font. Like my other fonts, the entire Graffiti Classic font is spaced letter to individual letter so that the spacing will work smoothly, in spite of the expressiveness and irregularity of the forms. Evanston Alehouse is the first font in a larger collection of typefaces inspired by years leading up to the American prohibition. For the past two years I was living in Evanston, IL, a suburb of Chicago. After learning it was one of the birthplaces of the prohibition movement, I set out to learn more about it, and decided to develop a type collection that captures the dynamic era in our nation’s history. In the century that prefaced the ratification of the 18th amendment, saloons, taverns and alehouses boomed as the American working class enjoyed beer and discovered whiskey and gin. At the same time, the Temperance League was forming and gaining strength. By the turn of the century, these temperance societies were common in the culture of the country, with individual towns and states already on the move to abolish alcohol consumption. However, it was undeniable that by this time in history, America loved to drink. This font is inspired by the signage seen outside such drinking establishments. Back to the modern era, Evanston Alehouse is a 25 font family that includes 3 weights, 4 widths and 3 heights. For years, the print ads for the Hickok Jewelry Company [renowned for their line of men's belts, suspenders, wallets, cufflinks, etc.] featured its name and related main line ad copy hand-lettered in a condensed monoline with Art Deco styling. This has been reproduced in Fashionable JNL, available in both regular and oblique versions. For those of you who are wondering: yes, the founder of the company was a distant relative of "Wild Bill" Hickok.

Graffix is best described as a modern classic. A crisp geometric sans serif with just a hint of Art Deco in the roll of the capital A, D & R, and the curvaceous lines of the capital M, V & W. The distinctive tear shaped counters of the lower case a, b, d, p & q give it its essential character, together with such quirky features as the angular descenders of the lower case g and j.

Wroxeter is Greater Albion Typefounders' customary Black Letter release for Christmas 2013. It's a typeface family for all times of year though, a good clear traditional black letter re-creation offered in a family of four typeface:- regular, wrought (a hand-tooled look a la Mr F Goudy), oblique and narrow forms. The tradition of typefounders' black letter revivals which don't over-burden themselves with historical precedent continues in this highly refined and polished family.

Funkboy looks like something that was made 20 years ago. You know, when Grandmaster Flash was scratching to the beat and graffiti was totally underground. Funkboy was made to look 100% oldschool, and now you can make your own bad-boy oldschool graffiti, using your computer! Comes with two hard knock alternate letters: the peace 'o' + the heart dotted 'i' You will need to use OpenType supporting applications to use the autoligatures.

The long and frustrating search for a dynamic, monoline script drew our attention to the lack of such a typeface. This prompted us to create our very own, Terital, named after the 1960s Italian overcoat advertisement that was the original reference point for its 2003 creation. Fearing the odd all-caps script setting, we cheekily designed Terital as a lowercase set. This limitation was revised in the 2011 version. Beautiful swash capitals were also added.

The thin, stylish Art Deco slab serif lettering featured on the cover of the 1934 sheet music for “Then I’ll be Tired of You” inspired the digital type face Park West JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. Central Park West has always been the upscale area for affluent New Yorkers, but in the Great Depression years of the 1930s the mystique of the well-to-do held an even stronger significance.

Boom. You asked for more, um, well just ‘more’—more swashes, more options, more weights, more of everything. I cannot give you more weights. The design just won’t allow it and anything else would be a compromise or a bastardization of the exemplars just to make money that I am unwilling to do. But, I did give you an overly indulgent, 90% cacao bar and espresso, Lust Script Fine. The ending strokes on these glyphs will literally draw blood. Enjoy it as much as I have. The Lust Collection is the culmination of 5 years of exploration and development, and I am very excited to share it with everyone. When the original Lust was first conceived in 2010 and released a year and half later, I had planned for a Script and a Sans to accompany it. The Script was released about a year later, but I paused the Sans. The primary reason was the amount of feedback and requests I was receiving for alternate versions, expansions, and ‘hey, have you considered making?’ and so on. I listen to my customers and what they are needing… and besides, I was stalling with the Sans. Like Optima and other earlier high-contrast sans, they are difficult to deliver responsibly without suffering from ill-conceived excess or timidity. The new Lust Collection aggregates all of that past customer feedback and distills it into 6 separate families, each adhering to the original Lust precept of exercises in indulgence and each based in large part on the original 2010 exemplars produced for Lust. I just hate that it took so long to deliver, but better right, than rushed, I imagine.

Tripper is a rock-hard display font family. The six styles – from Light to Black – of this robust stencil typeface will assure your text grabs all the attention it can get. Instead of settings large amount of texts, just use this font for a small amount of words. Or even better: just one word. But most importantly: make it really, really, really big. The lightest weight is pretty condensed, and slowly expands when the weight increases. The bridges – essential to a stencil font – have the same width across all styles, so you can safely apply all styles in the same size without the risk of stencils falling apart. Due to the absence of curves throughout the whole family, Tripper is suitable for more limited, industrial applications too. Tripper comes in several flavours. Stylish, elegant, and alluring, Sekhmet got its name from the lion-headed war goddess of ancient Egypt. And the typeface does possess a kind of feline, forward-directed energy - a result of its calligraphic detailing combined with a very slight slope in the roman. Sekhmet is essentially a display face; still, it's as carefully crafted as any of the designer's text fonts and so also works well in reasonably large text blocks, especially at larger point sizes. Comes with a book-weight roman and calligraphic italic.

For many years I had repeatedly written names on certificates or designed texts for certificates of honor with a pen. I later digitized a font written with a broad pen from 1988 to make it easier to use. After the technical possibilities for this had developed, I made a PostScript font out of this document font. The "HGB-Unik" is a humanistic antiqua that arose from this written type. In 2009 Unik was chosen as the text font for a book. However, the book designers wanted to have an italic and a bold style as well. The cursive was developed from written texts that I also wrote for various occasions in the 1980s. The resulting font family was thoroughly revised several times until a usable text font with four weights was created. Although the Unik looks very idiosyncratic in display size, it shows a surprisingly balanced, pleasant typeface in read size.

The origins of Bookman Old Style lie in the typeface called Oldstyle Antique, designed by A C Phemister circa 1858 for the Miller and Richard foundry in Edinburgh, Scotland. Many American foundries made versions of this type which eventually became known as Bookman. Monotype Bookman Old Style roman is based on earlier Lanston Monotype and ATF models. The italic has been re drawn following the style of the Oldstyle Antique italics of Miller and Richard. Although called “Old Style,” the near vertical stress of the face puts it into the transitional category. The Bookman Old Style font family is a legible and robust text face.

Salas is a fun, chunky, slab serif omnicase display font. It's blocky and loud, so it can scream from Posters and Headlines. Think of a clown with poor hearing making a Skype call, he's shouting, but you like it. Anyway: it has over 300 glyphs, several variations on the standard alphabet and lots of those extra foreign features for sending international ransom notes. OpenType coded, it has various letter pairings that interlock automatically to create a more randomized, bespoke feel to your copy. It also has some extra characters available directly through your glyphs palette. Play around with it, I hope you like it.

The Waratah flower is the the emblem of the State of New South Wales, Australia and is unique in its color and design. So too is this new contemporary sans serif typeface that bears its name. With a warmth and friendliness that echoes its origin Waratah Gothic is at home in both text and display and has potential to become a font family with a variety of weights and italics. For corporate, packaging or simple one-line display settings Waratah Gothic is sure to please. Waratah Gothic features a generous x-height and subtle rounding on alternate terminals providing a softness that makes for easy reading.

Corpesh was drawn in Adobe Illustrator during the wee hours of the night. It is a single weight set of fonts, no bold version. As is/was much of what I have done over the last year, it was created purely to pass time. As a self taught amateur in this field, I only do this for the enjoyment it brings me. This typeface is being released early, at the same time as 'Brainstroke', for exactly the same reason that typeface is, that being a health crisis. I know this typeface is not complete, with, as mentioned, no bold version, and probably never will have.

Inversion is a display typeface that is based on a rare bit of lettering from a 1910 German lettering book. What was the inspiration for designing the font? I found the base lettering years ago in a specimen and scanned it. I've used it perennially for assorted metal bands' logos, and finally decided to digitize it. What are its main characteristics and features? It is a spidery bit of lettering that would work well in Harry Potter movies or on album covers. Usage recommendations: Display type for use in materials that are meant to have a hand-wrought look circa the turn of the century.

The Elzeviriano Ibarra or 'Ibarra Gans' was a typography engraved by Carl Winkow in 1931 to Fundición Gans commemorating 50 years since the foundation thereof. It is designed to be used in the book-homage The Maestro Joaquín Ibarra . This type is a combination of the printers selected by Joaquín Ibarra, Spanish printer and typographer and Ezelvir family types, hence its compound classification. Gans Ibarra, designed in 2006 by Paulo W follow the concepts from the original designs from Fundicion Gans. Mapuche means ‘man of the land’ and it is also the name of a group of indigenous inhabitants in South America. During the southern Winter solstice, between June 21 and June 24, the We Tripantu, the Mapuche New Year fest, takes place with a magical rite in the middle of the nature. Indigena is a dingbat font that remakes the artistic expression of the Mapuche people in Chile, recovering the handmade stroke they used in textiles and ceramics, but with a fresh look. This dingbat is based on pre-Columbian iconographic drawings shown in the book Dibujos Indígenas de Chile (1929) by chilean art teacher Abel Gutiérrez.

DBXL Nightfever was originally designed by Donald Beekman in 2001 for the disco-techno-house record label of the same name, an imprint of United Recordings. Geometric and gridded, with a solid sci-fi techno feel, Nightfever still contains a lot of soul. Three additional wider weights were added for more design flexibility, as well as italics for all widths. After the record label was terminated the Nightfever fonts were used for many other DBXL design projects. It was put online for free download first in 2008, this year (2019) the design got more refined with additional accurate kerning and spacing. All fresh and new, ready for a new space age!

Hernández Bros, is a typeface designed by Daniel and Eli Hernández. Born in the year 2021, in the midst of the Covid pandemic, from a collaborative spirit where everything called them to work together as family, in order to obtain better results in such trying times. The Hernández siblings, started a ping pong of drawings based on Bulfinch found in the 1912 ATF catalogue. From this exercise, Hernández Bros was designed, a modern Sans Serif, with 8 weights ranging from Extralight to Black. This is an elegant font, with beautiful and harmonious contrasts, which makes it ideal for titles, brands, editorial design, magazines among others.

Legestue is danish and means playroom. But perhaps that translation is too direct. Legestue is a place where you can come with your kids and play with other kids. Kinda like a kindergarten, but in much smaller scale. I attended a Legestue when my kids were like 2 years old. But that's a looong time ago! I like the idea of just dropping by and see who's playing and who's around. And the same goes for this font - each letter is off and different, and quite playful. Also, the letters has a crunchy outline, which made me think of some of the cookies I ate at the Legestue :)
