Oh no, not another typewriter font! But Klaklak is different. Not only has Klaklak four weights from worn out ink (light) to typing twice (bold), an Italic (which is Regular with authentic underlines as there is no Italic on typewriters) and an x-through font called Klaxxx (no need to erase your typos – just x them out (just kidding 😊)). It also does a lot to avoid repeating letterforms by first replacing about 320 common letter combinations by ligatures and then mixing them up with 4 style sets which results in about 1300 ligatures and more than 2600 glyphs in total per font. The result is a very realistic appearance of a mechanical typewriter. Movie Script is the script that was used in German movie-brochures. Those were small four page leaflets with a lot of sepia-colored pictures about the movie one was about to see. Today those things are collectors items. The script was also used on those hand-painted posters above the cinema entrance. I cleaned up the old script and made it just a little bit more readable, but overall I left it as it was. Of course I added the necessary glyphs for today's world, like Euro and so on. When I was a kid, my grandfather gave me 1 German Mark and I could go to the movies matinee, that was around 10:30 in the morning, the entrance cost something like 60 Pfennig and the rest was for peanuts and a drink. Framealot is a frame or border or page divider construction kit. By choosing and mixing various elements, a wide variety of different geometric borders or frames or dividers are possible. The largest set is on the upper-case keys. There are two other sets on the lower case keys (plus the comma and period.) The characters above the number keys (the whole top row with shift, plus {}| keys are another set. And there are a couple of other small sets. Not all the sets allow vertical dividers. Outlined versions are available on the outline style, and the filled style either inverts the pattern or removes white interior sections for the outline version (and has some other differences compared to the other two versions). Use a character map to find all the parts of a set, type them out on your document, and then copy and paste to construct your border or frame. Have fun with it!

I have just returned from a trip to Malaysia, Java and Bali with my family: my wife had some family business there, so we turned it into a holiday. The last time I visited these places was 26 years ago and I knew things would have changed, but I wasn’t prepared for the ugly truth. Malaysia’s interior has been converted into one big oil palm plantation, Java is choked in plastic and Bali is one endless string of concrete hotels, restaurants and cheap tattoo parlours. Plastic Fantastic is not an ode to the many uses of plastic. It is a wake up call: we really need to stop using disposable plastic! This is a font that will fit in the "hard to read section" because it may not be super legible at first sight - that is because of the negative space. But when you combine the two layers (Layer and Box) the letter suddenly appears very legible! Play around with your favourite colour palette while adjusting the transparency in order for the colours to blend, giving a really nice handcrafted look! Salom was designed by Austrian type designer Igor Labudovic during his year at Reading University. Besides Latin, it originally included Arabic and Hebrew. The German-born designer Lucian Bernhard designed Bernhard Fashion in 1929. An American" typeface, Bernhard's original design was created for the American Type Founders (ATF). Daniel Berkeley Updike seems to have stimulated the architect Bertram G. Goodhue to design the prototype in 1896 for Ingalls Kimball at the Cheltenham Press.
