Multilingual, semi-connected​ display brush script, Nagamaki is perfect for logos, food packaging, menus, labels, apparel, advertising, cards, branding and more. Nagamaki comes with a set of lowercase swash alternates, ligatures and ending terminals. Inspired by my writing created with Pentel Touch Brush Pen and polished into clean forms, it’s stroke endings on letters like l or t reminded me of Japanese Katana swords. After researching the swords I named the font Nagamaki, which is a type of Katana sword with an extra long handle. It works well in smaller sizes and for more text but it shines in medium to large point sizes. You can access all the OpenType features through Adobe, Affinity and other similar software. With a couple of defining features like double story lowercase g and alternate lowercase r it makes a perfect choice for giving a little character to your designs while keeping everything nice and neat.

VLNL TpDuro was designed by chef Martin Lorenz and Juanra ‘Wete’ Pastor. Its concept was inspired by an Albrecht Dürer design from 1525, which shows a system to construct a gothic lowercase letter. Following the logic of this lowercase construction, but not the traditional uppercase letters of regular fraktur (brokenscript) alphabets, some brand new upper case letters were designed. The 45 degree tilted square that forms the basis of the letters, is as square and hard as a cracker. And we love crackers. You can put cheese on them. The ‘pixel’ feeling of the downstroke was intensified by repeating the rotated square module as often as they could. All this resulted in a strong, dark typeface with a steady rhythm, with one foot in history and the other in modern times. It works well as a display typeface for short texts, headlines and logos. Music festivals and heavy metal bands should also pay attention. This is hard stuff.

I was asked by a good friend of mine to design his tattoo lettering. This fellow prefered an easy stencil with no ornament, such as swirls or loops. After some preliminary design I finally accepted the challenge and while completing the whole alphabet, the idea of creating a cool font of it occured to me. Only a few months later this new font family already contained 4 weights, every weight has a companion Italic style, punctuation, numerals and mathematical operators, as well as all accented characters. Chop chop! VLNL Cleaver is an important tool in the Vette Letters’ kitchen. It’s a butcher knife of a font. Razor sharp, ultra heavy and with pointy slanted serifs. At first glance it seems straight-lined, but a closer look revails that all straight lines are curved inward slightly, which enhances the sharp image even more. Cleaver was originally designed by DBXL for cutting meat - hell, it even hacks right through bone. It can easily splice a chicken in one slash or seperate ribs, just like that. You can also very well use it to chop up hard vegetables like pumpkin or squash on the chopping block. It gets better, the opposite blunt side can be deployed to crush ingredients like garlic, nuts or spices like black pepper. You could use a grinder, but with Cleaver it’s more fun, isn’t it? Marjac is an angular and upright script typeface that is directly inspired by handwriting. It is created after "Jacno", a typeface designed in 1948 by French type and graphic designer Marcel Jacno. Made in La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland), HyperTurfu was born during the shooting of “The Return of Hyperturfu Xpress 2”. A GoPro on a lego electric train, meters and meters of rails, an empty industrial space, loads of puppets, paper, cardboard, pizza boxes, lights, hot glue and a bunch of friends preparing a one shot scene for a month. The title of the movie was made out of lego pieces, painted with golden spray and hanged over the rails. It was the first inspiration for this awsome superbold font. Proper was based on handwritten characters (of my own) that I scanned and then digitally touched up. I kept the digital editing to a minimum so as to preserve the freshness of the original. I did, however, want to convey a sense of propriety and regularity and so my original handwriting was done with quite a lot of control. I kept the size of the lower case characters quite large and this makes the font very readable, even at quite small point sizes. Proper may be used when you need clean, legible text, with a natural look, e.g.: -- magazines aimed at the natural health market -- "natural look" fashion pages -- "natural look" decor pages -- natural food products -- natural beauty products -- children's books -- packaging for children's toys, games etc. -- educational material -- comics Proper contains a full character set with all upper and lower case characters, numerals, symbols, accented characters and it has been carefully spaced and kerned.

Scan is literally a barcode font, made of actual barcodes, shaped in De Stijl style. It is a monospace, all-caps font with two different barcodes per letter. These offer the user a choice of a heavier look with the upper case and a lighter look with the lower case. Numbers and letters each have their own distinct barcodes. Also included are an alternate K and R. This font offers numerous ways to create artistic presentations with its unusual design. As always, I prefer not to take short cuts and provide an anemic offering of glyphs — a modern typeface offered today must provide more than just the basics and this one does — lowercase, smallcaps, old style numerals, tabular forms, stylistic and titling alternates, fractions, case-sensitive features, and even an alternate uppercase ordinal set is included. The original Gelato Script has been updated and improved, not once, but twice. This version is kept here for legacy and compatibility issues, but I would encourage new users to check out Gelato Luxe or Gelato Fresco instead. Gelato Script is a smooth-flowing typeface with an air of familiarity. Influenced by both formal scripts and mid-Twentieth Century hand lettering. The power of OpenType is used with precision in the Contextual Alternate feature to make sure letters connect seamlessly, t’s cross where they can and swashes don't crash into neighboring glyphs. 781 glyphs make up this font, which is capable of speaking in many different languages. Alternate forms are grouped into stylistic sets to make it easy to change the mood of the text. For example, ss01 makes droopable letters drop below the baseline to break it up a little if required. I recommend using it sparingly, one glyph at a time, but if you do enable it for a whole chunk of text, the clever OpenType programming ensures that it doesn't go overboard. Sets 2, 3 and 4 bring about alternate forms of S, s, B and Q. Set 5 changes AE and OE to some perhaps controversial Upper/lowercase ligatures. Engage ss06 for the underline feature. After a word, simply type two or more underscores and a line extends backwards under the word you just typed. Don't worry if you have to break for a descender, the OpenType programming will take care of making sure it connects properly to the preceding character. Sets 7 and 8 are for alternate ampersands, and ss09 swaps the script r for a regular shaped r. There are swash capitals available for most uppercase letters, and the OpenType programming makes sure there is room for them under or over the following letters. There’s also a good amount of ligatures thrown in. The localised forms feature can be set for Polish, where acutes get steeper and lslash takes on its script form; Dutch, where IJ and ij digraphs become cool ligatured combinations; and Romanian and Moldovan, where cedillas are subsituted for comma accents. The stylistic alternates feature groups together a few of the stylistic sets for users that can't get to them directly. Gelato Script is a highly usable, powerful typeface. Perfect for everything from food packaging to wedding invitations, sports team logos to magazine headings. Use it however you see fit. Just one thing - it’s not designed for all-caps settings, so avoid that at all costs!

Barberry is a hand-made brush script typeface equipped with some decorative OTF features, made by Zakhar Yaschin (FontaZY). Barberry font contains stylistic alternates, initial and final alternates (which is duplicated by contextual alternates in the case when ini & fina are not supported), ligatures, titling alternates, small caps and large collection of swashes (additional variants - in Stylistic Set). The Barberry font is essential for hand-made lettering and design. The Barberry family also includes Barberry Vigniette font with over 200 icons and vigniettes in it. Barberry Letters supports most of Western languages (including Central Europian, Baltic and Eastern European languages) and also Cyrillic. Each lowercase letter has three positional versions of the design – basic (if the letter is in the middle of a word), initial (if the word starts with it) and the final (in the end of the word) that makes the set look more alive and expressive. Working with Barberry Letters you can enable and disable if needed such typographic tools as swashes, ligatures, small caps, titling alternates, stylistic alternates, additional swashes and the already mentioned initial and final alternates. If your design software does not support the use of the initial and final alternatives, they can be duplicated by contextual substitutions. There are more than 20 Latin and Cyrillic ligatures in the Barberry Letters. It works by default as the standard ligatures, but you can switch it off for design reasons or to select the more appropriate typographic solution in any particular case. Ornamental font Barberry Vigniette has more than 200 pictograms and vignettes that can decorate your typographic layout. All icons are drawn with a brush in the same style as the Barberry Letters. You can use them inside the text lines, or make the ornamental decoration for text, or use separately, without any letters. OpenType extensions of the Barberry Letters significantly expand the choice of typographical tools to design a better, more expressive layout. Choosing the optimal variant of certain letters in each case, you can receive a unique composition.
