The Maiandra family of typefaces were inspired by an early example of Oswald Cooper's hand-lettering, as seen in an advertisement for a book on home furnishing, circa 1909. Although many of Oz Cooper's letterform designs were cast in metal type, this particular one was not. Cooper's design itself was inspired by examples of letterforms he had admired in his study of Greek epigraphy (inscriptions). Cooper combined those ancient forms with the flair characteristic of design styles of his time. The result was an attractive design possessing subtle, purposeful irregularities, or "meanders" in his skilled brushwork. The Cooper design exhibits a unique warmth and harmony in text, while presenting a compelling rhythm, color and texture on the page. "Realizing the presence of this uniform warmth and readability," notes Dennis, "I decided to expand the design into a family of three weights with companion italics." The weights for the Maiandra family were selected for their versatility in usage over a broad range of output device resolutions. Indeed, "the consideration of eventual display resolutions, be they for screen or printer, provided the greatest challenge in the design of this typeface family," explains Dennis. Creating shapes that conform to the rigors of digital letterforms and modern rendering environments, without losing the unique characteristics of Oz Cooper's original design, is what Dennis has accomplished with his tribute to this great designer of the past. Maiandra, whose name derives from the Greek 'maiandros', meaning 'meander,' is intended for extended text use, as well as for informal subject matter, such as business correspondence, brochures and broadsides. Questal is an intriguing unicase serif. The face appears rather eccentric, yet it still retains a refined character. The typeface is wider than most, but not to the degree that Aviano is extended. The font includes some interesting OpenType alternate characters to extend the quirky quality of the letterforms even further. If unicase isn't your thing, the Questal family also includes a small caps variant for more traditional uses. Use Questal for eye-catching and distinctive logotypes or headlines.

Enzia is a friendly and flowing sans serif. Enzia exists somewhere between a slab serif and a semi-sans, and features flared vertical stems and rounded terminals. Six different weights provide plenty of versatility and contrast for poster designs, logotypes and headlines, while still retaining excellent legibility for extended copy.

Foundry Form Serif was drawn concurrently as a sans and a serif, with matching capital and x-height proportions for harmonious use. The Foundry Form Serif design has a strong horizontal emphasis, slightly condensed proportions for economic use of space, and open counters ensuring legibility at small sizes. Both families function independently. Foundry Form Serif includes a true italic; the angularity and sharp serifs help to retain maximum clarity, with the contrasting stroke widths adding refinement.

A contemporary interpretation of grotesque (historic) typestyle, relying on geometric shapes applied to a grid. Idiosyncrasies within the typeface are based on how this grid is constructed and applied rather than those inherent in drawing type with a pen or cutting from a block of wood. Other grot types retain the quirks of original woodcut typefaces. Elephant has a different vocabulary of quirks that remove it from being too reverential or constrained to a historic context.

PT Quadrat Grotesk™ was designed for ParaType in 2001 by Vladimir Pavlikov. An expanded sans serif with square letterforms due to what the face was named. Based on the shapes of one of old Russian wooden types. Wooden types were used for placard display composition at large sizes. Their printouts retained wooden texture and traces of handling. These features are reflected in the shapes of Quadrat Grotesk. It is a good typeface for display and advertising typography.

Decima+ is a subfamily addition to Decima, a new face by TipografiaRamis. Decima+ is an upright variation of Decima italics and is built in three weights. The unique difference of this typeface is that it presents a softer and more human look, while retaining the condensed geometric structure of its counterpart. Decima+ is a display face, with bold weight most suited for titling use. Decima+ is released as OpenType single master with a Western CP1252 character set.

Geria is a hand drawn sans serif in four weights. Despite being rough and organic, Geria retains the basic structure and shape of a readable sans serif. The result is a functional typographic tool with a lot of personality. The family comes in four carefully balanced weights that offer a lot of contrast from the delicate Light to the punchy Heavy weight. Geria is perfect for display use in branding, packaging, editorial design, posters and advertising.

Cicero was the first typeface designed by Thierry Puyfoulhoux in 94. It is what could be called a semi-serif. Only the serifs which occur naturally when drawing letters with a flat nib pen have been retained. The absence of certain serifs allows for much tighter spacing. The remaining serifs still stabilize the baseline, although less effectively than a "full-serif" typeface. By borrowing features from both the sans and serif styles, Cicero truly stands at their crossroads.

Isbellium is a sans serif version of Dick Isbell’s Americana type, designed in 1967 and the last type cut in metal by the American Type Founders Co. (ATF). Isbellium retains the large x-height, open character, wide stance and elegance of Americana, but with a quieter voice and polite authority. Isbellium is a display face with broad Latin support along with small caps, fraction support and other typographic niceties are included in the ten font family.

Linotype Mano is a fresh new font from the Swiss designer Marco Ganz. Urgent and vital, the typeface suggests swift communication or the latest trends: spontaneous and informal, personal and individual. Ganz deliberately gave the characters a marked lean to the right, similar to that of quick handwriting. But Linotype Mano is not only nimble and quick, it also retains its legibility as a text font. Linotype Mano is as dynamic, brisk and casual as modern pop music.

New Jonesy Latin is a rough version of Jonesy typeface. It includes 4 Styles: Print Script, Print Capitals, Rough Script and Rough Capitals for Latin languages. Print Styles work better in middle and large font size. New Jonesy is a funny modern script with a touch of vintage. It is good for menu, packaging, posters and as a starting point for lettering and logos. All contextual alternates are built into the “Liga” feature that is turned on by default. However, when your work with the typeface, please make sure that “Liga” is turned on.

Gutenberg Gotisch is a redesign of an inhouse font released by Bauer in 1885, and it is a predecessor of Princess Engraved. So both fonts make a perfect match. The long s can be reached by typing the integral sign or turning the round s into the long s by using the historical OT feature. In this font, you have the possibility to turn I, V, X, L, C, D, and M into Roman numerals by activating the salt feature. Finally I recommend to use both ligature features.

Breathe Neue is not just an update of my renowned Breathe of 2010, this is something else... Many times I find myself looking for inspiration in my previous creations. The original Breathe has something on its essence: Something that almost 10 years later still caught my attention. Like its name suggests, letters seem to be breathing, moving, alive. Many years passed so I asked myself if there was still something I could do for it, something to get the most of that beautiful essence... Suddenly, I was already working on its curves: Many new loops, more polished, more refined. Also the proportion and spacing were altered to embellish the font. Breathe Neue’s swashes are addictive. I couldn't find another word. Irresistible? Maybe. Once you see some of its loops you want to see more. I believe this might be due to its very geometrical feel, which match well with the bodonian curves of the font. See also how well it works with Breathe Caps. I'm still young (yeah, sure) and I believe there're still many years ahead to enjoy this great profession, and to make many new (and astonishing, I hope) fonts.
