While Bellas Artes, Koziupa and Paul's "other" look at intertwined classicism in calligraphy, can be compared to the repeated patterns of standardized dance steps, Tanguera is more like dancers engaged in a free form of the classic Argentine dance. Saral, meaning simple in Hindi, is a monolinear design supporting most Devanagari based languages. Derived from the older Linotype typeface Rohini, it has been greatly expanded into three weights and a wide character set. Redshift is sans with 12 upright weights and 12 oblique weights. Its a soft edged, spaced out offering from Rocket Type. It supports most extended Latin languages including English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Polish and Portuguese. The name redshift means the displacement of spectral lines toward longer wavelengths (the red end of the spectrum) in radiation from distant galaxies and celestial objects. The original concept behind the font was that I wanted to create a massive heavy sans which would give the sense of tranquility within the user not unlike watching an object float through space. Redshift was designed by Dathan Boardman during 2016. Strongly rooted in the tradition of other notable geometric sans faces however much attention was paid to create a soothing experience for reading both large and small bodies of text. Each letter was painstakingly modified for optimal readability and warmth. Redshift was designed with the intent to create the ultimate bold header font. From there I wanted create the lighter weights to be readable when set within large bodies of text. Redshift works great for body headers & text as well as for logo design. It looks great juxtaposed with any number of other Rocket Type Fonts.

urgle Jock is actually two fonts in one: The Regular version is a classic handmade sans and the Outline version is…well, an outlined version of the Regular - however, I made it a bit off-grid and hasty scribbled looking. The two versions works well as they are and even greater together!

Amador. Designed in 2004 by Jim Parkinson. Originally released as a Type 1 font, Amador was refreshed (version2) and re-released as simple Open Type in 2012. A blackletter designed in the spirit of the Arts and Crafts movement. The works of Frederic Goudy and Rudolf Koch are also reflected in this design.

Livery Stable is a revival of an old classic font from the 1800s. Much research was done to recreate the original versions of Livery Stable which include regular, black, condensed and shadow lined versions of this font. Also look for the Horse Head symbol placed on the Less-Than and Greater-Than keys.

Tectura II is Greater Albion's answer to the infamous Comic Sans. It's a family of four 'hand printed' typefaces that provides our very own answer to the infamous 'Comic Sans', and follows on from one of our early release 'Tectura'. Gia is 7 weights, true small caps and unicase options, designed after iconic letterforms of the 1960’s to 1980’s. In the early years of the American tech revolution, when Silicon Valley was more closely identified with Dallas, Texas, a curious type of letterform began to appear—strict in geometry, and curiously minimal in geometry and stroke, making it easier to be read by machine-readers, and people more used to reading machine-generated typography. Fortezza is a family of fonts inspired by the great masters who have created the Modern Roman style: Firmin Didot (1764 -1836) and Giambattista Bodoni (1740 -1813) Both typefaces can be similar, but a trained and close vision, show clear differences in the final result, like its weight and the degree of transition of the strokes. The type of Didot suggests greater warmth and elegance, they are characterized by extreme contrast in thick strokes and thin strokes, by the use of serifs very thin and by the vertical stress of the letters. while the Bodoni type conveys a greater robustness and hardness. Fortezza brings together the elegance and spirit of both types, but proposes a contemporary vision, establishing a distance with certain features typical of the baroque that was manifested at that time.

Frederic Goudy designed Tory in the spirit of the ‘lettres batarde’ found Geoffry Tory’s Champ Fleury. He was looking to create a romantic type for which to typeset the book Auccasin et Nicolette. It was one of Goudy’s favorite typefaces of his own creation and it is digitized by Steve Matteson to preserve that legacy.

The Parkway font family was inspired the Parkway Theater marquee in south Minneapolis and the abandoned hotel signage along a strip of U.S. highway running from Tallahassee to Tampa in Florida. Mercurius Script font was designed by the Hungarian wood engraver and type designer Imre Reiner in 1957 for the Monotype Corporation. Goudy Titling was designed by Steve Matteson. It is based on the 2" wood engravings Frederic Goudy made for his book ‘The Trajan Capitals’ - a seminal book about the history of the Roman letter. These letterforms predate the work of Father Catich’s exhaustive study of the Trajan Column and, while remarkably faithful to the inscription, have Goudy’s interpretive fingerprints.
