Horror/Metal/Punk upper case only font with varied double letters (open type feature). Open type Latin Pro with alternate upper case using the lower case, and varied double letters for an even more genuine handwritten look. (Open type feature.) Ink on paper, carefully and meticulously touched up digitally so that all letters will look good printed in bigger sizes.

This font is a slightly calligraphic roman font with one major difference. In place of the upper case characters, there are decorative lower case “Drop Caps” accentuated by a decorative rendering of the alphabet in script form. As enlarged decorative caps—great for beginning paragraphs set in any number of fonts including the lower case included in the font itself.

Broadveau is retro typeface that embodies the feel of both Broadway and Art Nouveau. The upper case characters are standardized, while the lower case letters contains playful curvy alternates that give the font its character. While most fonts maintain a common baseline, and vary in height, some of Broadveau’s alternates vary on the baseline, making for an interesting, yet surprisingly readable, textual landscape. This is a title case font only, which contains all the standard sub-255 (upper case) unicode characters. With the alternates it’s almost like 2 fonts in one.

A 1940s Australian song folio featuring tunes performed by singer-actress Deanna Durbin had her name hand lettered in an interesting Art Deco style sans. This became the basis for Song Folio JNL, capturing all the nuances of the original in digital form.

An Art Deco geometric alphabet found within the pages of the 1939 French lettering book "Modèles de lettres modernes par Georges Léculier" ("Models of Modern Letters by Georges Léculier") is the basis for French Geometric JNL; available in both regular and oblique versions.

The free form hand lettering from the titles and credits of the 1964 French film comedy “Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez” [“The Policeman from Saint-Tropez”] was the basis for Off Duty JNL – which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

An instructional page from a vintage lettering book displayed online showed the construction of an Art Deco sans design with varying widths and stylized character shapes. This was the basis for Eccentric Sans JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

16th and 17th century formal handwriting forms the basis for Tinderbox, an antique script. Preserving the rough impression of a quill pen on parchment, Tinderbox evokes old manuscripts, ecclesiastical texts, gothic inscriptions, faded tattoos and horror literature; spooky calligraphy for the digital age.

The poster for the 1930 film “Show Girl in Hollywood” had the title hand lettered in a squared Art Deco style with some angled cross strokes. This became the basis for Dancing Girl JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The hand lettered title on the sheet music for 1917's "If They'd Never Take You from Me" was the basis for the Art Nouveau sans design of Nouveau Romance JNL. This elegant sans serif is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Carot Sans is designed on the basis of three elements - square, circle and triangle. Simple and fresh typeface for visual identities, book covers, magazines and advertisement. The whole Carot system of 64 members offers a modern alternative for all types of design work.

The 1933 sheet music compilation entitled "Kate Smith Memories Song Book" had the singer's name hand lettered in a bold, spurred serif typeface. This lettering design became the basis for Radio Show JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Bumbershoot is a typeface for a rainy day. A letterbat font constructed of umbrellas, it does not have true lower-case letters. Rather it has two mostly different sets of upper-case characters.

Magpie is a font family consisting of three sub-families with both regular and italic styles. Originally designed on squared paper, over time it has moved further and further away from this rigid grid, although its appearance is still based on it, so it can easily be used for logotypes or headlines with strict grid-based layouts. While Magpie Text is suitable for headlines and short texts, Magpie Display is ideal for logotypes or more playful headlines. Finally, Magpie Mix is a combination of both families. Magpie Text Regular represents stability, Magpie Display Italic is ideal for dynamic logos or headlines. To cover more languages, cyrillic and greek letters were added and Magpie can be used for nearly a hundred languages. In addition to the four common numeral variants, special numerals, punctuations and symbols for all-caps (c2sc) are included. Furthermore case-sensitive punctuations and symbols are available. To expand the typographic possibilities, four stylistic sets, different symbols, forms and standard- and discretionary ligatures have been added. Each Magpie-font contains more than 880 glyphs.

Relato has a low contrast and “a muscular” structure that makes it useful for setting longer text. In display sizes it has a variety of details that lends it a unique and personal expression. The formal principle of the serif, the variety of terminal strokes and the combination of curves and semi-straight lines gives the Relato a more “human” flavor. The inspiration for the design comes from different traditional calligraphic styles. The upper case letter, for example, is based on roman capitals from the Rennaissance, whereas the lower case relates to humanist handwriting. Even so, Relato is a decidedly contemporary typeface, proposing individual ideas on the design of type. The italic has a distinct typographic color thanks to the construction principle of broken lines. The bold weights have an increased contrast in the union of the strokes which helps improve legibility in small sizes and reinforce their personality in display sizes. ITC Panic is further down the emotional track, when you've actually lost control and there is no hope in sight. Thompson says the inspiration for these faces arrived one day in the mail. I received an envelope that looked like it had a rough trip; the type that was stamped on it had a tired, ragged appearance. Ironically, the haggard envelope woke me up. I got excited and wanted to replicate the look as a font of type." Thompson designed ITC Don't Panic, then stood back and looked at it and decided it cried out for a more agitated companion. ITC Don't Panic gave birth to the positively psychotic offspring, ITC Panic. Both are all-cap designs with alternate characters in the unshift position. Creating an authentically disturbed appearance proved to be a challenge for Thompson. "I tried to design agitated characters, but they looked staged. So I tried multiple photocopies, but that didn't work. Eventually, I laser-printed the basic characters, wadded up the lasers, then flattened them out and stomped on them with heavy boots. The end result was scanned and used as the basis for the rest of the design." Thompson's work on web sites and multimedia has influenced his interest in type and typography that transcends the cool, unemotional nature of the computer."

Schema is a family of hand-drawn architectural lettering designed by Ethan Dunham. Schema comes in three weights, light, regular and bold. This font works well both in mixed case and upper case settings.

Yapa is a display font. Ideal for eye-catching titles, logos and labels, based on the Arya and Prevya typefaces. It is based on Roman proportions, but is accompanied by swashes and decorative ornaments.

A throwback design reminiscent of 1950s signage and print ads, Merrymakers JNL takes a previous release (Bluesman JNL) and places the letters and numbers inside parallelograms with ‘TV screen’ openings. Merrymakers JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions. The upper case A-Z characters have the taller side of the shape to the left, while the lower case a-z has the taller side to the right. Ovaltown is a geometric font family with three weights in which the letters are derived from ovals or ellipses. It does to have true lower-case letters but many of the characters in the lower-case slots differ from the corresponding characters in the upper-case slots. Ovaltown is strange, unusual, and bizarre and can be useful when one wants strange, unusual, and bizarre lettering.

Raw herring is the Dutch sashimi. Every year at the beginning of the summer a new batch of freshly caught herring arrives at Holland’s quays. Fishing boats actually race each other to be the first boat bringing it home. The fresh herring is called ‘Hollandsche Nieuwe’ (Holland’s new). This typeface, designed by Donald Roos, is based on the typography of Dutch fish shops and stalls. Inspired by lettering from the 30’s and 40’s, infused with some ‘techno’ flavour, Hollandsche Nieuwe is the brand new fresh fishy type flavor on your computer! Axion SSF is an original design by Alex Kaczun. Axion SSF is a style variation based on his original Axion typeface family of fonts. It is a display font not intended for text use. It was designed specifically for display headlines, logotype, branding and similar applications. The entire font has an original look which is strong, dynamic, machine generated and can be widely used in publications and advertising. Axion SSF is a futuristic, techno-looking and expressive typeface with an appearance of machined parts with sharp and rounded edges. Darcy is bold and exuberant. As an all-cap family (exception “i”), every letter has an artsy, handmade alternate. For the most joyful bounce, choose all lower or mix up the cases. German type designer Yanone created this sans FontFont in 2010. ITC Drycut is the work of Vancouver-based designer Serge Pichii and gives a twist to the tradition of heavy, woodcut-like typefaces. The font includes all the realistic features of a true woodcut, sharp edges, white cut marks and black slivers. The slivers around the edges suggest traces left after awkward movements of a knife, which are often visible on old woodcuts...Folk artists often didn't care much about refining their carvings and the slivers would have been left as long as the letters remained readable." The lower case alphabet is actually small caps proportioned to match the capitals. The letters of ITC Drycut have a slight slant to the right which lends the font a dynamic character."

Founder is a neutral sans-serif font family consisting of 6 weight categories. The font was created for use on his own website, but eventually the account went on public sale. The original purpose of the font was not intended to be a multi-tool. However, now everything necessary has been added to it so that it can be safely used in projects. Founder supports more than 50 Latin-based languages, as well as Belarusian, Russian and Ukrainian Cyrillic. Gothic sans aesthetics give Founder a natural and relaxed feel that business fonts lack today. The font is perfect for cases when you need to dilute the silence of modern digital environment or just to complement the author's illustrations.

MB Vinatage is a 6 weight font family with italics that has its roots based firmly in the type and font design of the early 20th Century. With some art deco touches in the standard caps like the N and the low bars on the E, F & H, by using the stylistic alternates these can be changed to give the font a more contemporary look. The same applies to the lower case letters, with an alternate a and g and a stylistic lowercase t. The family works great as a display font using the thin and heavy weights and just as well for smaller & bulk text. Stay traditional or go contemporary or mix it up.

Lithuanian type designer Mindaugas Strockis created this slab FontFont between 1998 and 2002. The family contains 4 weights: Regular, Italic, Bold, and Bold Italic and is ideally suited for advertising and packaging, festive occasions, small text as well as software and gaming. FF Elementa provides advanced typographical support with features such as small capitals, alternate characters, case-sensitive forms, fractions, super- and subscript characters, and stylistic alternates. Lately I feel reluctant to watch the news: The Amazon Forest is burning, Australian forests are burning, palm oil controversy… It really brings tears to my eyes to see all this destruction around me. It is like people hate nature with a vengeance - I cannot explain it otherwise. I made this font to take my mind off things. It was loosely based on Futura, a font I really like. Understory was completely made by hand. It comes with some cute upper case swashes and a whole bunch of diacritics. The good thing is: no trees were cut down or burned to make this font; in fact, I donated a nice amount of $ to help save the rainforests!
