Country Western is a revival of the classic William Page font known as Clarendon Ornamented originally designed in 1859 and again in 1877 by Vanderburgh & Wells. This version combines the best of both versions and adds something new. New to this font are the lowercase, italic, swash and script versions plus Greek and Cyrillic character sets. Keeping with the original theme from 1859 Fill fonts are available for the Ornamented and Open faced versions of this font. Greek, Cyrillic, Central and Eastern European characters sets are supported in the Windows TrueType and OpenType formats. The Windows and Mac PostScript Type1 versions of this font, however, do not support Greek, Cyrillic, Central and Eastern European characters sets.

This time it wasn't the song title, but rather the name of the show it was from serving as the type inspiration - the Cotton Club's 1931 revue "Rhythm-Mania". Harlem's Cotton Club was an "exclusive, whites only" club; both famous for its talent and shows, yet infamous for hiring black acts but not allowing black patronage. On the sheet music, the show title was hand lettered in a bold, slightly stylized fashion which became the basis for Rhythmic Revue JNL; available in both regular and oblique versions.

Ok. Another font with cats in it. I asked my son, Sam (age 4), to draw some cats and I have to say: I'm very proud of what he created. The tiger I asked him for became a spinosaurus mom with her baby and I also got some happy hearts thrown in for good measure. The Cat's Whiskers is a very legible hand made font. Nice and loose, not too messy and with just a hint of childishness. Comes with a litter of diacritics. Oh… and a big thank you to Jakob from pizzadude.dk for suggesting I should post more pics of cats on FB - which eventually led to the name of this font.

This sticky blackletter font owes its street credibility to the texture of torn adhesive tape. As a graphic designer, sometimes it’s impossible not to be inspired by the Swiss Style, specifically the work of Armin Hofmann, who is one of its best exponents. Grids and grotesk and neo-grotesk typefaces are a fundamental part of the tools that make this aesthetic possible. A visual language that has caused full admiration since we were students. Therefore, we decided to design Armin as an homage to Hofmann’s work. Technically, we added stylistic sets applied to the letters –G, R, a, g, h, l, m, n, r, t, u, y– to make Armin more eclectic and suitable for the creation of any visual language. Allotropic is a pretty decorative face with a remarkable art nouveau flair. It loosely draws inspiration from a 1914 untitled alphabet by J.M. In Vasetters the letters are cut from the shape of a tessellating vase. To get the tessellating effect, the two sets of letters (and numbers and some symbols) must alternate, and this is done automatically in applications that support the OpenType feature of Contextual Alternatives (calt). Vasetters is monospaced and comes in two weights. The regular weight is tightly spaced, which should not be a problem at large point sizes. At small point sizes adjacent letters can be colored differently or the character spacing can be increased. At least, that is what I believe. Radical Fortune is a font I made after a period in my life that could have ended with a really nice sum of money in my hands - but which I didn’t take. I had to give up too much of myself and that just didn’t feel right. I made Radical Fortune to keep me from thinking too much - and, symbolically, I used a really old and cheap marker pen to draw out the glyphs!

Chet was inspired by the lettering on the signs of American diners and gas stations in the 1950s and 60s. It is not a mere reprint of nostalgic signage letters, however. Machin is a French word meaning 'thing'. Apparently, it is also a species of macaque from the Philippines, but I named this font after the French word! Machin is based on a really old font I made back in the day. It was called Whynot and (because I didn't know a thing about making fonts at the time) I could not get it to work properly, so it had its 15 minutes of fame before it was pulled off of the internet. Machin was made using the recycled glyphs from Whynot and it does work. It comes with extensive language support (yes, Vietnamese and Sami too), some handy ligatures and a lot of scribbly panache.

Clara is a set of alphabets of interconnected serif and sans serif fonts. The connection is not only in the intensity of the strokes, i.e. in the identical brightness of the typesetting, but also in the drawing principles of both alphabets. In researching historic decorative material offered by Lanston Monotype as well as other metal foundries such as Barnhart Brothers and Spindler, there were occasionally ornaments that defied description. Perhaps it was a Victorian sense of humor or someone really thought these were a good idea or perhaps popular taste has just changed so much over the last hundred years, or our forbearers were completely insane. In any case, LTC is somewhat proud to present a collection of the most bizarre, disturbing and baffling printers ornaments we could find. Along with mutant fowl-children and frolicsome amphibians, there are also Masonic and other secret fraternal symbols that may not be creepy to everyone, but just enough to be moderately disturbing.

Qi is a display sans-serif inspired, in part, by the art deco typefaces sometimes seen on old signs along rural American backroads. Jochen Schuss, the Biedenkopf, Germany, designer who was most recently responsible for ITC Vino Bianco, has created in ITC Whiskey a condensed display face that's both angular and soft at the same time. While the letterforms of Whiskey are clearly roman, there's a slight reminiscence of blackletter in the face's narrow proportions, its dark weight, and its persistent internal angle - not quite the 45 degrees common in a classic German textura, but a gentler angle of 25 or 30 degrees. And the counters are all rounded, as are the ends of all the strokes, giving Whiskey a comfortable friendliness despite its severe structure. The character set includes an alternate z" and an "ft" ligature."
