Zapatista is derived from a typeface that I designed in 1998 but never released. It is a playful slab serif with a texture that is sometimes subtle and reminiscent of the irregularities of letterpress printing. Like a fine wine, this face has been aged to perfection and is now ready for public consumption. It includes a full character set with accented characters as well as a second full set of alternate uppercase, lowercase, and numbers. OpenType makes it easy to mix and match the two sets of letters to create custom designs. It's like having 2 fonts in one!

M Zhi Hei's design concept comes from M Stiff Hei , where horizontal and vertical strokes (橫、豎) are direct, dots (點) are short but forceful, downstrokes(撇、捺) are straight and sharp - everything bold and straightforward. One big difference between M Zhi Hei and M Stiff Hei, is the similar thickness of horizontal strokes (橫) across all font styles, so that there would be a strong contrast formed by the thin horizontal and thick vertical strokes (橫、豎) in the bold face. Still, remains bright, neat and beautifully crafted, it is a multi-purpose typeface that convince audiences and cater for different needs.

Neubau is a condensed geometric display typeface, designed in 2009. The inspiration for this face came from Joost Schmidt lowercase letters developed during 1925-28 in Bauhaus Dessau. Schmidt was one of the proponents of New Typography – a movement advocating the use of only lowercase letters which were constructed strictly geometrically using only ruler and compass. Neubau family consists of two subfamilies - Neubau Sans and Neubau Serif, each of them in three weights - light, regular and bold. Neubau typeface is recommended for use as a display font, and has been generated in a single OpenType format with Western CP1252 character set.

MVB Gryphius is a digitization of uncommon type from an era normally associated with the work of Nicolas Jenson. Produced by Otto Trace, the fonts come from types used by Sebastian Gryphius in Lyon in the early 16th century. The italic appears in a book from 1524 and the roman and small caps appear with the same italic in another book printed by Gryphius in 1541. Retaining the rough contours and uneven texture of its source, MVB Gryphius is best used at text sizes from 12- to 15-point, but its old world character can work in display settings too.

Argos, a type face with a strong personality. A rounded serif type family which uses exclusively modern design elements. While it possesses decorative qualities, thanks to its hearty serif weights it can be successfully used as a text type. Argos comes in 6 weights and with its extended character set it permits a wide range of applications. Each font is equipped with ligatures, small caps, proportional lining figures, tabular lining figures, proportional old style figures, lining old style figures, matching currency symbols, fraction- and scientific numerals. Argos supports Western European as well as Central and Eastern European languages.

Ned Std. is part of a series of typographic experiments from the young Swiss designer Michael Parson. Using a wide, horizontal hexagonal grid, Parson created the system of letters that make up this font. Text set in Ned Regular takes on a modular, honeycomb-like appearance. For an interesting effect, try overlapping individual letters, or use a few letters together as elements in a logo. A great companion face to Ned Std. is Linotype's Hexatype Bold. Both Ned Std. and Hexatype Bold have been included in the Take Type 5 collection, along with eight further constructions from Parson."

Bodoni expresses the beginning of the Industrial Revolution; its serifs are flat, think and unbracketed, while the stress is always on the mathematically vertical strokes. Bodoni believed in plenty of white space and therefore descenders are long. The M is rather narrow; in the Q the tail at first descends vertically and the R has a curled tail. The italic, like most continental modern faces, has roman serifs. Monotype Bodoni provides a clear-cut effect due to its simplicity. It reproduces well, particularly in sizes over 12pt. This font is slightly darker than Bauer Bodoni. The contrast makes Monotype Bodoni appear more condensed.

People often come into your life and make a significant impression that lasts a lifetime. Be they friend, family member or relationship partner, such people are rare and endearing. Sadly, we lose many of these individuals before their time. EquipCondensed is the matching complement for Equip and EquipExtended . With its 16 fonts it extends the Equip family to 48 styles. ITC Grimshaw Hand is based on the handwriting of its British designer, Phill Grimshaw. Warm and lively, this typeface has the look of spontaneous handwriting with a little extra panache. Note the jaunty k, the swooping f, the simply stylish s, and the absolutely zingy cap Q and R. Grimshaw designed this face in 1995, at a time when he was also playing the guitar and mandolin. Handwriting fonts give an air of intimacy to the graphic design of advertising pieces, packaging, invitations, greeting cards - and ITC Grimshaw Hand has the touch of sweet music in its enthusiastic strokes.

Pooper Black Pro is based on a brush ethic and has an extreme axis that lends a certain amount of speed to the font while the lack of connectors slows it down. The pro version expands on the original and popular Pooper Black with the addition of full Central and Eastern European character sets and plenty of alternate characters for those who have applications that support Opentype features. Almost all of the lower case characters now include an in stroke and out stroke version for greater design flexibility. A wonderful face for packaging, titling, and short bursts of text.

Michael Gills, formerly a resident designer at Letraset, created the Fling typeface in 1995. Fling's letterforms are based on the Ronde --or round--script style from France. The design includes intricate and generous capital letters, which are contrasted with a more reserved lowercase letters. This allows for a sophisticated and elegant appearance in text. Fling's letterforms are highly legible for those of a script face, and it is a typeface with many uses. Aside from short amounts of running text, Fling's capital letters serve well as initials. In the Opentype font are extra ligatures and alternative letterforms thatoffer expanded typesetting possibilities.

Neue Augenblick is a modern contemporary Germany-esque grotesk. This Font face carries a powerful mechanical and industrial feel, it is inspired by aesthetic personality of beautiful Panzerkampfwagen and Post-war Brutalist Architectural. Melts Script from Estudio Calderón is a typeface based on Harlow Solid SB from Colin Brignall. It is made by round traces, with a simple design and a slightly “chubby” look. We wanted to propose a new version that works as an alternative of Harlow Solid, with connectors at the same heightand a complementary Font “Melts Sanscript” with sans serif capitals to be combined with lowercase scripts. The earliest form of Ionic was brought out by Vincent Figgins in 1821 and was intended for display work. In 1863 a more refined version appeared which had more contrast between thick and thin strokes and the serifs were bracketed. Further developments were made, however the robustness of the Egyptian style was retained making the face suitable for newspaper text setting. With a large x-height and strong hairlines and serifs, the Ionic font family became widely used by the newspaper industry as a body type and provided a model for many twentieth century newspaper typefaces.

Monotype Old Style is a nineteenth century update of Caslon Old Face with characteristics of the moderns built in. Monotype Old Style was recut by Monotype in 1901 from a Stephenson Blake & Company version. The design originated at the Miller and Richard foundry in 1860. In some respects it can be seen as transitional between old style and modern, but the spirit of the old styles predominates. By the turn of the century it had become a successful rival to the moderns. The Monotype Old Style font family is an attractive design which gives a light, airy feel to text.

Niveau Grotesk—the companion of Niveau Serif —is a type family of six weights plus matching italics and small caps. It was designed by Hannes von Döhren in 2013. Influenced by classical nineteenth-century faces, the fonts are based on geometric forms. Because of its straight architecture, Niveau Grotesk has a “punch” in big sizes but is very legible in smaller sizes and longer texts—in print or on screen. Niveau Grotesk is equipped for complex, professional typography with alternate letters, arrows, fractions and an extended character set to support Central and Eastern European as well as Western European Languages.

It hit me one day that the '60s-vintage labelmaker I had lying around might make an interesting display face. I began playing with it -- clicking out letters at various pressures, scanning the results, going over the scans in a vector-graphics program. Looked pretty good. To my chagrin, however, I soon afterward got a glimpse of someone else's label-tape font. Though modeled after a more modern device, its rocketing popularity prompted me to set Chromosome aside for a year or so. Finally finished it up in late-1995. Full release has light and heavy weights, regular and reversed styles.

Designed by Morris Fuller Benton and released in 1905 by American Type Founders, Franklin Gothic quickly stood out in the crowded field of sans-serif types, gaining an enduring popularity. Benton’s original design was a display face in a single weight. It had a bold, direct solidity, yet conveyed plenty of character. With ATF Franklin Gothic, Mark van Bronkhorst looked to Benton’s Monotone Gothic—originally a single typeface in a regular weight, and similar to Franklin Gothic in its forms—as the basis for lighter styles. Thorowgood was originally released by the Stephenson Blake typefoundry in the UK. The types were first cut by the English typefounder Robert Thorne, predecessor of William Thorowgood, and first shown in his specimen books in the early nineteenth century. The fat face was revived in roman (1953) and italic. The S and the C appear to be smaller than the other capitals. Most serifs are flat and thin horizontals. In the italic the main strokes of h, k, m, n, and r are curved inwards at the foot.

My motivation for designing the Lalibela family (which is based on Bodoni) was to pay homage to Ethiopic script. The script has been around for about 3 000 years, but I took artistic licence to deviate from the original model and add personal touches. I chose Bodoni as a historical model because of its display value and not its text size use because the extreme contrast made it difficult to read at small sizes. A Modern typeface characterized by consistently horizontal stress, flat and un-bracketed serifs, and a high contrast between thin and thick strokes, were the final step in typography two-hundred-year journey away from calligraphy. The austerity, simplicity and greater contrast style was perfected.Contrary to all the refinements in Bodoni, I have revisited calligraphy with the font Lalibela that mimics Ethiopic Script. It was drawn with a much larger x height and less geometric than Bodoni for its primary use as a display font. For example, a lot of italic serifs were added to the roman face as well as 16 additional ligatures to obtain more a feel of calligraphy. I made the serifs thicker and bracket one side with straight steps obtaining a reduced contrast to withstand breaking up at smaller sizes.An additional variant, "Lalibela Alternate" was designed to provide an interesting mixing possibilities with the Bold face for more expressive headlines.

ITC Drycut is the work of Vancouver-based designer Serge Pichii and gives a twist to the tradition of heavy, woodcut-like typefaces. The font includes all the realistic features of a true woodcut, sharp edges, white cut marks and black slivers. The slivers around the edges suggest traces left after awkward movements of a knife, which are often visible on old woodcuts...Folk artists often didn't care much about refining their carvings and the slivers would have been left as long as the letters remained readable." The lower case alphabet is actually small caps proportioned to match the capitals. The letters of ITC Drycut have a slight slant to the right which lends the font a dynamic character."

The techno sound of the 1990s, a personal computer, font creation software, and some inspiration all came together to inspire the F2F (Face2Face) font series. Alessio Leonardi and his friends had the demand to create new unusual typefaces, which would be used in the leading German techno magazine of the day, Frontpage. Even typeset as small as 6-points, in nearly undecipherable layouts, it was a pleasure for the kids to read and try to decrypt the messages. There are thousands of pieces of vintage sheet music available for collectors and curiosity seekers. Prior to the 1930s, a large percentage of them had wonderfully hand-lettered titles on the covers, but gradually there was a shift by music publishers to utilizing metal type for the bulk of their output. Normally set in an all-caps format, certain type faces reappeared in growing frequency and familiarity. Composer JNL is one such example of a “workhorse” font, and has been re-drawn and reinterpreted by Jeff Levine Fonts in both regular and oblique versions. It is based on the design "Glamour", released by Lanston Monotype in 1948; which in turn was based on "Corvinus", designed by Imre Reiner.

LoveDuets is a family of two novelty fonts that have letters on hearts. There are at least five other font families on myfonts that have have letters on hearts but LoveDuets differs from them because it uses the OpenType feature of Contextual Alternatives (calt) to put two letters on each heart, one on the left side and a second on the right side. The two styles in the family can be used in layers to increase color possibilities. The brace characters have empty half hearts that can be used to replace spaces or to complete hearts at ends of lines. LoveDuets can be used when hearts are appropriate such as for Valentines Day, anniversaries, and weddings.

The design of the Jeunesse font family derives from a study of primers which the designer undertook earlier in his career. Jeunesse was designed with the intention of combining excellent legibility and character recognition with the ability to create compact, distinctive words and lines while maintaining basic flourishless letterforms. The sans serif style is pre-dominant in this design, but serifs or rather parts have been added where necessary, mostly at the top left hand parts of the characters, to aid readability. Use Jeunesse as a text and display face. There are also fully sans serif and slab serif versions available which can be used on their own or mixed with each other and the parent fonts.

Qi is a display sans-serif inspired, in part, by the art deco typefaces sometimes seen on old signs along rural American backroads. American Uncial™ was designed by Victor Hammer in 1943. Uncial typefaces consist of letter forms of the Capitalis Monumentalis and the majescule cursive. The origins of Uncial faces date back to the 5th century. In 1953, American Uncial was expanded to include some new figures, also designed by Hammer, and was rereleased by Klingspor with the name Neue Hammer Unziale. The forms are based on old scripts in books of antiquity and the early Middle Ages and the font is a new variation of a classic. Neue Hammer Unziale font has been a favorite for certificates and diplomas and is recommended for headlines and shorter texts in a point size of 12 or larger.

Oksana Sans Compressed is the most skinny part of Oksana Sans font family, but still it retains most features of this humanist sans serif. The Compressed version is designed to get most of your page and fill a minimum space with maximum information. It can be useful in multiple columns typesetting — like magazines, newspapers or business documentation. Oksana Sans Compressed could be a good minor companion for other Oksana fonts as well.
