Ace Attitude is a friendly, readable font with character and flair. When I started designing this font I wanted something that was readable as well as interesting and appealing. Something that showed character. When I look at this font now I think of an old fashioned aviator. One of those poeple that likes to show off and have fun but can still follow rules. This font is perfect for logo's and branding. But its also very versatile would be great in things like magazines, posters, packaging, billboards, etc. Ace Attitude has an impressive 179 Contextual alternates. These are like ligatures, but oh so much better. These contextual alternates will give any project that personal touch - all without any extra effort. All you have to do is make sure that they are turned on in your program. Unfortunately, these do not yet show up in the sample text. To help with this I have created a demo version of the font so that you can still try it out before you spend the money. “A couple of years ago, when I was designing a package for a marmalade range, I started having a go at creating a typeface that would suit the package I had in mind. The whole process was intensely appealing to me: from merely using typefaces as an intricate part of my work as an art director, I started exploring the function of each and every element that a typeface consists of. The two things on my mind in designing a typeface for a marmalade brand were firstly, that I wanted it to have a hand-written feel, so as to exude that old-fashioned, homemade quality, and secondly, that it ought to have a certain sweetness and gentleness that would match the product. However, PF Scandal managed to outgrow its original inspiration. As I continued working on it, I toned down some of its elements to make it more versatile. And so, PF Scandal evolved into a typeface that has a contemporary, and yet handwritten look, which makes it suitable for a wide range of uses. Eponymous is an Egyptian-style typeface with chunky, scalloped serifs. It is available in five weights in both roman and italic. I have always loved slab serif type and have created Eponymous to fulfil a yearning for a versatile, stylish and contemporary slab face. A key design characteristic is the implementation of scalloped serifs which, to me, imbues the typeface with a distinctive personality. Make use of the Open Type features that are part of Eponymous. For a start, you can implement some stylistic alternates, so, if the main characters don’t quite suit your concept, try activating Stylistic Set 1. There’s also a full set of small caps included. Gutta Percha is a font for golfers. It takers its name from a hard, resilient natural substance that comes from the sap of trees grown in southeast Asia and which was used for the hard core of golf balls well into the twentieth century, when it was gradually replaced with synthetic material. It therefore seemed an appropriate name for a font using the image of a golfer of the 1920s. The letters are from our font Besley Clarendon, reduced to 70%. That means that Gutta Percha set at 40 points will have the same size letters as Besley Clarendon set at 28 points. However, it should be noted that the two fonts have different baselines. If you use them together you will have to manually adjust the vertical alignment. Gutta Percha is obviously a very specialized font, both because of the subject matter and because the uppercase is designed for use as dropped caps. There may not be many uses for it, but when it is right, it will be really right. Whether you are publishing a book about the history of golf or a clubhouse bulletin, Gutta Percha will surely be noticed.

Trigomy is a proportional pixel font designed on a 5 pixel grid. It is intended for either very small text or as huge display font for posters and the like. To get a crisp look this font should be used at 10 pt or multiples of 10 pt. (A tip for Adobe Creative Suite applications is to change the standard anti-aliasing method from “sharp” to “crisp” and to align the text to whole pixels. Also avoid centered text.) To get started with type design I thought it was best to start with a pixel font because you don't have to focus much on the design itself, but rather have to focus on how kerning and spacing works and the various features you can implement with OpenType. And of course I wanted to have a pixel font that had all that I was missing from other pixel fonts. We were learning trigonometry at the time I started designing Trigomy, and most of the time I misspoke it “trigometry”. So, when I had to come up with a name for my first font I thought: "Why not go with Trigomy?"
