Handmade Caslon JNL is a somewhat imperfect version of one of the many Caslon faces in use during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Based on vintage source material, Handmade Caslon JNL is the right typeface for projects reflecting antiquity, a hand-made look or where slightly imperfect lettering adds a bit of the "real world" to the message.

'HU Retroround' is a font that captures the feel of the retro typefaces used on signboards during Korea's modernization era. This font has a variable function, allowing users to fine-tune the thickness they want. (Available only in Adobe programs.) Six basic weights are provided so that they can be used even in programs that do not apply the variable function.

Alan Meeks designed the Candice typeface in 1976. A groovy swirl of a font, Candice looks like an ice cream sundae topped with whipped cream. Candace is often seen on album covers, and has come to be associated with innumerable party hits from the 1970s. One thing is for sure: Candice is a child of it's times - flashy, lively, and fun!

This font is actually two different fonts. The uppercase mimics the typeface used once upon a time in Teletypes, and the lowercase is patterned after the face used during the first half of the twentieth century by Western Union for their telegrams. Both flavors of this font feature the 1252 Latin, 1250 Central European, 1254 Turkish and 1257 Baltic character sets.

The 1907 novelty song "Since Arrah Wanna Married Barney Carney" (about an Irishman taking an Indian maiden as his bride) had its title hand-lettered in a sans serif style that reflected both the Art Nouveau flavor of the time and a hint of what was to come during the Art Deco movement. Designed by Jure Stojan, JY Saj is a typeface family that successfully balances the artistic and the conventional. With 10 weights (UltraThin to ExtraBold, with italic complements), it works at a variety of sizes, in print and on screen. Shizzle is a font with a graffiti marker style. The lettterform of ‘Shizzle’ essentially made by the combination of downward and upward stroke base on -15 degres angle guideline. Nami, the Japanese word for wave," is the latest collaboration between Adrian Frutiger and Linotype's Type Director, Akira Kobayashi. This typeface family is the most humanistic sans serif design ever to come from Adrian Frutiger, and it has an interesting twist: lapidar alternates that may be surfed through with the help of OpenType-savy applications. Adrian Frutiger began the design that would blossom into Nami during the 1980s. Although it would not be produced during the 20th century, it was quite forward thinking. The typeface included several seemingly avant garde alternates; these were "lapidary" versions of common letterforms. Revisiting the project in 2006, Akira Kobayashi reworked the concept into a working family of three typefaces. Each font contains 483 glyphs, including 11 alternates-two extra forms of the lowercase g, as well as new forms for a, e, h, l, m, n, r, t, and u."

Originally released in 2008, Churchward Newstype is a workhorse text family, designed by the late Joseph Churchward back in the early 2000’s. If you’re familiar with Churchward’s typefaces, you might know that he always brought a little something quirky to his designs. Churchward Newstype doesn’t disappoint. The exaggerated concave serifs make a statement that is subtle, yet gives the typeface a unique flavor. The proportions and scale of the letters lend themselves to very good legibility in text applications, and the Bold weights are strong enough for headlines. Churchward Newstype is good for text copy, and headlines, and at giant point sizes, great for adding emphasis to posters! An old printer's advertising cut for Red Star Oil Stoves yielded a typeface that was both vintage and somewhat techno at the same time. Originally drawn as a slanted logo, the individual letters had an array of chamfered, angled and flat sides combined with a bold outline. This font is available in both vertical and oblique versions.

Based on Times New Roman of Monotype, 1932, by Stanley Morison and Victor Lardent, and other versions of Times. It has many characteristics of an Old Style serif faces; it was designed for better legibility in combination with good economy. Widely used in books and magazines, reports and office documents, and also for display and advertising.

Here's a great old face from the H. W. Caslon foundry in London; a real workhorse. The lowercase is eminently readable, so you can set entire paragraphs to good effect. We don't recommend it for setting all caps, but we did take time to kern it well; so you won't get a jumble of ovelapping letters if you do.

Galahad font was designed by the American artist Alan A. Blackman in 1994. It is a sans serif font with a calligraphic flair particularly suited for displays, although its open geometric forms make it a good choice for shorter texts as well. Galahad also includes old style figures and alternate characters, making it a very flexible font.

Birch Beer JNL comes from lettering spotted on a European business sign found in some stock footage that was used for an old black and white film about World War II. The name is derived from a popular root beer-like soda sold by the Royal Castle Restaurants that were popular in Florida from the 1930s through the 1970s.

Eckhardt Poster Deco JNL is a continuation of a series of sign painter's fonts, and was modeled from a lettering example found within the pages of an old sign design manual. It is named, as always, in honor of the late Albert Eckhardt, Jr., the owner of Allied signs in Miami, Florida and Jeff Levine's good friend.
