In Sidewalker we can see pieces of OCR-A, letters and of other fonts; letters pressed over metallic supports with too much ink and then redesigned on a computer. Reminiscent of how different materials in Burri or Rauchenberg's paintings are used. Some numbers have the same shape of some letters (J=2, 6=G=9, I=1=l ...) and many pieces of letters are copied into others. Very experimental...

Jim Rimmer’s first typeface was originally published in 1970 as a basic film type alphabet through a small, independent type house in central California. Its sources of influence (now calligraphic type standards by Dair, Goudy and Zapf) are ones that remained with Jim for the rest of his career. If you squint at Totemic in just the right way, you can see some recognizable themes Jim would later flesh out and make his own in later works throughout his career as a type designer and printer. Totemic is now available for the first time as a digital font, of the refined and expanded kind now expected from Canada Type. It comes with quite a few standard advanced typography features: Small caps, caps-to-small-caps, automatic fractions and standard ligatures, stylistic alternate sets, six kinds of figures, case-sensitive forms, and extended Latin language support. Dunelm is a typeface that was inspired by the type used in an English book from 1636. The typeface used in the book was unique and the goal in creating this font was to emulate the printing feel of the 17th century. The authentic ink-blotted and imperfect feel of the letter-pressed type was preserved with care. For best effect, this font should be used at text and smaller title sizes.

Brouillard means ‘fog’ in French. I like the ‘oui’ letter combination and I was looking for a name for this font that contained those letters. I found Brouillard and presto: a new font was born! Brouillard font was handmade with a Japanese pen. It is an elegant, curvy and quite stylish font with a bit of a roughness to it - just enough to catch your attention. All three styles come with a load of diacritics.

Shinano is an old province of Japan. Kobayashi Issa (1763 - 1828), a famous Japanese Haiku poet and Buddhist priest, was born here. Together with Bashō he is my favourite Haiku poet. Shinano font was hand made using a Japanese brush pen. At first glance it may look like a messy script, but underneath its rough appearance beats a poetic heart. Comes with some alternates and ligatures and a whole lot of diacritics.

Pixel Promise is my wannabe pixel font. Yes, it is not a pixel font…but it is handmade and the “pixels” are deliberately off here and there. Nevertheless, when typing with Pixel Promise, you get that retro gaming feeling, and before you know it, you feel like you just want to insert another coin, press 1 or 2 players and complete that level! :) I have added 5 different versions of each letter and multilingual support

This is the companion sans family to make the Librum serif families work as well as they do. By companion, I do mean stylistically compatible. But mainly, they have the same vertical metrics. So they work very well for run-in heads, inline character styles, and all the rest of the needs in large books with complex formatting. They are designed for use in InDesign, and they work very well in that environment. The fonts use the same OpenType feature files as the rest of the Librum families. The feature files for the italic and bold are more limited—as I have rarely used things like that [over the past 20+ years]. The character shapes are a bit whimsical. The original ancestor of this book design sans was a very playful font I released as Aerle. It’s been calmed down a lot but is still loose and friendly. Will Carter, well known in connection with his private press in Cambridge, has combined the skills of a calligrapher with a practical knowledge of printing. His mastery of pen-drawn letterforms was put to practical use in the design of Klang. Klang is a slightly inclined and calligraphically shaped sans serif with short ascenders and descenders. The Klang font is useful for informal applications, such as invitations, greetings cards and posters, but can also be used in advertising.

VineStreet a place somehow familiar to everyone in the English speaking world. It might be just around the corner or the next town over. This font gives that aged feel of comfort and familiarity and the authority of tradition. The example for this font was derived from a ecclesiastical history published by the Caxton Press of the Sherman & Co. of Philadelphia and was originally developed prior to 1867. This font has over 1000 defined glyphs and small caps included.

Lunatique is a highly decorative font, available in three widths, with extended language coverage as well as alternates for some glyphs. This font is inspired by Lucky typeface, designed in 1972 by André Pless for the Mecanorma permanent type contest. The style was later released as Letter-Press transfer sheets. Transfer sheets... Sounds quite nice, definitely. But hey, these digital ones will be way smoother to use, you bet. Give them a go and make your text shine!

A set of over 50 ornaments, connecting borders, flourishes and decorative motifs originally designed by Frederic Goudy throughout his career. Many of these designs were used by Goudy at his Village Press and offered by his Village Foundry in the 1920s. The styles range from complex title page illustrations to simple linking borders, but all have the unique Goudy style. This set is completely different from the Goudy Ornaments found in the P22 Goudy Aries Set.

LEPPERTREZ is a font that is basically a classic serif font then to make it different from other serifs is to give the effect as if it were a letter on a letterpress machine, it will add a vintage impression because remembering that letterpress machines were the beginning of a printing press. To enable the OpenType Stylistic alternates, you need a program that supports OpenType features such as Adobe Illustrator CS, Adobe Indesign & CorelDraw X6-X7. Cheers!
