Geometrical drawing of Fenomen Sans typeface goes back to the roots of the Bauhaus aesthetics and the entire architectural and design avant-garde of the 20th century. It is still a symbol of functional rationality, clean aesthetics in relation to shape, and of progressive thinking. Its popularity is timeless and permanent. The set contains eight basic alphabets of a square pattern, eight semicondensed, eight condensed and eight extremely condensed alphabets, all in Latin and Cyrillic alphabets. Every font of the family has four types of numerals, small caps and variant letters. The typesetting can fluently use all fonts simultaneously. The typeface originated between the years 2011–2014 and was subjected to a series of tests for the fluent legibility of narrow fonts even in extreme conditions. Narrow fonts provide this set with the maximum use also for newspaper typesetting. The typeface has an elegant, delicate design in thin fonts and sufficient legibility in bold. EraMax Radial is a geometric sans serif meant to be set BIG, for big statements. It's the perfect face for signage, packaging posters, branding and so on and on, where a strong voice is needed. It has a modern look that will work in a retro setting. Or, should that be a vintage look that will work in a modern setting. This is the first of what is to be a series to typefaces inspired by the original hand painted signage found in the TH&B train station in Hamilton Ontario. This classic Art Deco, Or, more precisely, Art Moderne building designed by the New York architectural firm of Fellheimer and Wagner and completed in 1933. The original lettering included about 75% of the uppercase letters only, so the balance of the uppercase and the lowercase plus all the other glyphs were extrapolated from the look and feel of the existing uppercase letters. Figures are based on the numerals on the station clock, with adjustments made to harmonised with the letters.

Corsica is an all-purpose geometric sans-serif typeface of visually uniform stroke thickness. The design seeks to be reminiscent of classic 20th Century grotesques with a crisp modern appearance and opentype features that are now expected. Coverage includes most Roman languages, Greek and basic Cyrillic. Each font contains a standard set of features including fractions, small capitals etc. The family contains six weights, two widths and three lowercase size options, together with an italic variant for each. The are three standard 4-font families for each size variant and a further three corresponding families for Condensed versions. The versatility provided by this extensive family has many useful applications. In particular, the choice of small, medium and large lowercase letter sizes (SX, MX, LX) allows designers to select an appropriate style for suitable impact and legibility in different situations such as headlines, captions, signage, web menus etc. Although each of the three size options will work equally well in most situations, the middle size (Corsica MX) would generally be the preferred choice for lengthy texts.

Just as most buildings are based on a structure of vertical columns, horizontal floors, square angles and the occasional arch, most Latin typefaces are designed within a largely uniform, static, alphabetic structure that provides a framework for playing with the style of the terminals —serif, sans-serif, slab-serif, flared, Tuscan— without significantly modifying the deep anatomy of the letters. In spite of —or perhaps thanks to— its innovative, uncommon structure, Orgánica’s personality is sweet to the eyes, wittily elegant and surprisingly legible.

Protrakt is inspired by city life and sport. It has been designed as a variable font and is best to use as a variable font to get the full enjoyment of using this typeface. However, if you do not have access to variable technology through your software, there are nine widths in the font family so this will give you just as much access to the creativity this font can provide. By using the variable sliders in your design software you have a range of weight and width options. Play around with individual letters to give your type a unique look. Included in this family are alternate characters to add even more styling options. *Unfortunately there is no option to test out the variable capabilities on MyFonts as yet. Please have a look at the poster images to get a great idea of how I have used this font. By using the variable version you only need to install one font file instead of the entire family, this saves space and time to manually select individual styles.

Polydot is an experimental Font, built following its own rules. It has interesting letter shapes, making it a perfect choice for creative packaging and magazine design. At the same time it makes a beautiful, neat but vivid text pattern when used in smaller sizes: Use it for children’s books, food and beverage, cosmetics or health topics. Each Glyph is based on at least one dot on the body line, and has up to two more on the lower case level and the ascender level. Since they have the same size and are on the same height on all letters, no matter what weight and shape, these dots give a strong structure to the typeface, allowing for dynamic and easy letter shapes, inspired by brush strokes. It’s not a hand font but it has the dynamics of one. It has no serifs but provides the structure and readability of a roman type. It has an extensive choice of weights, but it’s characteristic dots have the same size and it has the same tracking through all weights. Try it, it’s special.

Alecko is a distinctive didone-style typeface, which is strongly influenced by calligraphy, but is at the same time drawn with mathematical precision. Its advantages are summarized in its slogan: “One typeface, many possibilities”. Once you decide to use it, you can alter its look in a variety of ways: Should the contrast between the horizontal and vertical strokes of the glyphs be high or low? Is it appropriate to apply engraving to the letters (and what color?). Should the glyphs be connected to one another? Chancery Lane is a condensed cursive with a breezy, flowing feel. Many of the lowercase characters join up, some uppercase ones too, and the two fonts are slantier than many other chancery-inspired faces, inclined at almost 20°. Each glyph has slightly rounded corners to bestow softness and warmth. The typeface emerged from a study of pen lettering, italic scripts and chancery hands – down a rabbit hole and along the Chancery Lane. The research ranged from early cancellaresca manuscripts to contemporary fonts, and also calligraphic work, most notably that of Indian artist Mayank Baranwal whose lowercase letters inspired many of the Chancery Lane glyphs. Uppercase characters have been designed to harmonise with the lowercase rather than providing overly ornamental openers, true to origins that were functional rather than fancy. Both the capitals and the uppercase alternates are unfussy and relatively simple, and the lowercase swash characters are similarly understated, only modestly flourished. Stylistic alternates and lowercase swash characters can be accessed using OpenType-aware applications or font management software.

Enamela (rhymes with Pamela) is a monoline square sans that is available in normal width and condensed versions. Although rooted in the early years of sans serif type, the Enamela fonts have a timeless quality that is practical and unpretentious. The letterforms derive from vitreous enamel signage dating from the Victorian era and widely used in Britain for street nameplates, Post Office signs, the plates on James Ludlow wall postboxes, railway signs and direction signs, as well as for circular Automobile Association wayfinding plaques throughout the first half of the twentieth century. The quirky terminals, stemming from the compression of geometric type, invite comparison with the Charles Wright fonts used for UK vehicle registration plates. Enamela and Enamela Condensed are both available in three weights – regular, medium and bold – and as italics (optically corrected obliques). Lotter blackletter with Drop caps One fine day I found a vintage book, it called “A treatise by the Dominican friar-writer Marcus von Weida on the Brotherhood of the Holy Rosary”. It was printed in 1515 by Melchior Lotter in Leipzig. The text was illustrated by hand-colored engravings on religious and liturgical themes and beautiful initials I like. Lotter was the last name of a family of German printers, intimately connected with the Reformation. An innovation by the elder Lotter was his use of Roman types for Latin, reserving the Gothic types for German. I'm happy to present to you my new font family. Grabnika Unix is a unicase style typeface with a straight and a bit tall look and it has a residual influence of monospaced fonts.
