I present you Trečiokas typeface. This two font family is based on written letters that were sketched by using paint markers and afterwards pollished digitally. Glyphs mostly are connected, leaving some separate, as a contrast to round and soft letter shapes. It includes extended latin character set. In 2013 I made the Aerofont project, which included custom music instruments that were made based on Trečiokas Normal letter shapes. The main idea was to connect music and typography, by making sound emitting letters. You can watch the project video here.

The Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum staff is honored to partner with New York-based graphic designer Louise Fili on her first font release project. Too often, familiarity in type design can fool us into mislabeling similar styles of lettering. The Art Deco years provided many variations of the thick-and-thin alphabet, and we tend to lump all of them together as being "a version of Broadway", as this is the most popular of the genre. However, if one looks closely at each design, they will see variations of line thickness, angles and even individual character design. This family was inspired from a lot of 1848-1850 French engraved documents reproducing handwritten texts talking about the Paris' insurrection days in June 1848 (described by Victor Hugo in Les misérables) . It seems that all were first written using quill pens, as the strokes are too much heavy and bold for metal pens and even though the engraver work is very fine. We have added only a few characters, most of them were present in the originals. The TTF and OTF versions are enriched with more than 50 ligatures or alternate characters.
