Printers Drawer JNL continues building on a library of letterpress illustrations, cartoons, ad builders, Art Deco ad panels, ornaments, embellishments, and general miscellany. The images are re-drawn from vintage source material, and this font is jam-packed with 89 images spread throughout most all of the standard keyboard positions. This is officially the 1000th release from Jeff Levine Fonts since its inception in January of 2006. Jeff Levine Fonts aims to preserve the almost-lost artwork and lettering styles of the past within a digital type format, and often recreates the designs complete with their evident flaws, idiosyncrasies and eccentricities; allowing for a “real world” and nostalgic look to the computer generated art projects of today.

Introducing Night Crow . A display deathmetal font. This font is inspired by underground and metal music band logostyle. There are alternate directions of the thorns (right and left), alternate is in lowercase. I purposely made the spines a little so that the font can still be read. Night Crow is suitable for death metal music, underground, hardcore music, blackletter, death metal logo design, clothing, logos, music covers, posters or other designs with the theme deathmetal.

Golondrina, spanish for swallow, a bird that cannot carry a coconut but migrates form north to south like the angles in this font. Also, like the bird, Golondrina can adaptate to different needs, going from a traditional blackletter with small lowcase characters and ornamental capitals, to a hardcore uppercase and sharp small caps. The right font for designs with a medieval, traditional spirit or a coarse lettering for a Heavy metal band.

Richson is a font inspired by Pop Punk/Rock/Hardcore Music and the Skateboarding world. With Allcaps and multilingual support, Richson really fit for Band wordmark, album covers, video tittles, stickers, clothing brand name, t-shirt designs, badges designs, banners, flyers, and more. DUAL is a full width sans-serif typeface with an experimental side. Its straight lines and 90 degree angles give it a very geometric feel without hindering its legibility. It’s now available in 6 weights, ranging from 100 to 600. The idea behind DUAL has been brewing for quite some time, and though there has been many “experimental” released in the past, it does have its unique features. For starters, it is a fully usable and legible font in its original state. Also, its 251 alternate glyphs and 10 stylistic sets are, of course, its main attraction making DUAL a very versatile typeface for any user, from the casual designer to the hardcore artist. Prolexia is designed to make the font friendly towards those with dyslexia. All the characters are unique with no rotation or mirroring, this makes it harder for the mind to mix up similar glyphs. The characters are made with the illusion of perspective: this helps orient characters in the correct direction to make mental reorientation harder. Finally the o shape is somewhat flattened, this also helps to counteract mental rotation of characters.

Online auctions offer a treasure trove of lost or forgotten merchandise, and many items pertaining to lettering just beg to be digitized into a typeface. Case in point is a partial set of brass stencils that were the visual model for Ultra Thin Stencil JNL. While most of the brass interlocking stencils available now and in the past have bold lettering for easy readability, this particular set consisted of condensed letters with thin lines. Available in both regular and oblique versions, they join a long list of stencil designs available from Jeff Levine Fonts.

A 1930s kids' premium booklet from Post cereals called "Inspector Post's Junior Detective Corps Manual #2" offered up some great hand lettering in an Art Deco sans serif style. Bold, authoritative and perfect for headlines or titling, Junior Detective JNL now recreates this hand lettering in digital form.

The letterforms are based on Inserat Cursive, a bold script popular in the late nineteenth century; the treatment was suggested by cover artwork for Graphic Styles from Victorian to Post-Modern, written by Stephen Heller and designed by Seymour Chwast. Included in the font are several handy ink blots (section mark and superior numbers positions), a stylish tailpiece (florin position), and a couple of ink bottles patterned after those on the bookcover (bar and broken bar).

Paint Store JNL is the third in Jeff Levine's series of display fonts modeled from actual water-applied decals that were manufactured by the Duro Decal Company of Chicago (now Duro Art Industries). Duro Decals were sold in paint, hardware, variety and art supply stores, and even [in some cases] print shops.

Royal, majestic, elegant. These letters are based on Roman and Greek characters carved on stone. They come in 3 different styles. Normal and Shaded are designed to have serifs with a finer thinning. On the other hand, Metallic is bolder and simulates in the most realistic way three-dimensional metallic lettering. There are some alternate characters placed at lowercase positions as well as a few stylistic alternates which are accessed through the OpenType features. Pay attention to letters like Greek Omega (lowercase position) and Greek Xi (lowercase position) as well as B, R, K (lowercase position). George Bruce's New York foundry had a remarkable number of decorative types, most of which were lost or destroyed when the firm was taken over by the American Type Founders Co. and closed down in 1906. Bruce catalogs are prized among collectors.
