Devoid is a sans serif typeface with a no frills stripped down design. The design has all the features of the neo grotesk typeface, horizontally cut endings, modern capitals, oval counters, with a bare bones appearance. The typeface comes in three subtle widths, Devoid Slim, which is spaced most narrowly, Devoid and Devoid Set, which have a wider letterspacing. There are regular, medium and bold weights with accompanying italics. Eurostile Candy is a fun spinoff from Akira Kobayashi's Eurostile Next family. As the name implies, it is based on Eurostile but with many striking new features. Most obviously, the corners and joints have been rounded off to give it a more friendly and softer feel. On top of those changes, the main skeleton of many characters have been modified. Any extra strokes have been removed - such as in the a, s, or t - and joints have been simplified to create even more square shapes - like in the n and r. With these contemporary and futuristic-styled alterations, Eurostile Candy is a cool new design great for many display projects.

Railhead is a revival of an 1870s type style that was originally available from both the Bruce foundry in New York and James Conner's Sons type foundry. The Redux version is the original design but only the uppercase and punctuation were ever created the rest of this font design including numbers, accented characters and lowercase are of my own design. Looking at the original font the inside rails reminded me of a railroad so I created a new version by adding horizontal lines in the lower portion of each letter which resemble railroad ties and Railhead seemed to be the most logical name for this old revival.

Hellenica Pro was created based on numerous photos from archaeological sites and several other historical references dating back to 1100 B.C. In order to capture the essence of this writing, there are a few alternate forms used at lowercase, uppercase and/or accented positions. These alternates come from different regions in Greece. For instance, uppercase Theta was used by the Cretans and the Korinthians, whereas uppercase Delta by the Ionians. PF Hellenica Pro comes in 3 versions: Light, regular and bold. Fournier was made by Monotype in 1924. The design is based on types cut by Pierre Simon Fournier circa 1742, some of the most influential designs of the eighteenth century. Fournier's types were among the earliest of the transitional" style of typeface and were a stepping stone to the more severe "modern" style made popular by Bodoni later in the century. They had more vertical emphasis than the old style types, greater contrast between thick and thin strokes and little or no bracketing on the serifs. Fournier has a light, clean look on the page, provides good economy in text and retains an even colour.

Kathmandu, the Nepalese capital in the foothills of the Himalayas, is not like any other city. That's why Kathmandu Bold is not like any other font going by the name of a town, either: This font is not as digital as Chicago but not as solid as Aachen. I traveled a lot: in the beginning on my own, later as a tour guide. I always used the English word ‘abroad’ to describe a trip to a foreign country, but I noticed that the English, Australians and New Zealanders preferred the word ‘overseas’. I then realised that they all lived on an island, so most of the foreign countries for them were across the sea. I had to think of that when I made this font! The Brāhmī alphabet is the ancestor of most of the 40 or so modern Indian alphabets, and of a number of other alphabets, such as Khmer and Tibetan. I digitized and revitalize Hostetler Fette Ultfraktur Ornamental from the classical type specimen book from Rudolf Hostetler. He was a Swiss type designer, author of “The Printer’s Terms” designed by Jan Tschichold, of “Technical Terms of the Printing Industry” (5th edition was printed in 1995), and of "Type: eine Auswahl guter Drucktypen; 80 Alphabete klassischer und moderner Schriften" (Teufen, Ausser-Rhoden: Niggli, 1958). He also wrote "Type: A Selection of Types" (1949, fgm books, R. Hostettler, E. Kopley, H. Strehler Publ., St. Gallen and London) in which he highlights type made by European houses such as Haas, Enschedé, Deberny and Nebiolo. Jost Hochuli wrote his biography.

Those (usually) awfully nice chaps in the Comicraft studio are perhaps best known for their dexterity, their lightness of touch and nimbleness of finger rather than the kind of bungling, graceless, clumsy work evident in their latest digital alphabet. So, yes, MALADROIT is probably the most inept, cack-handed, undiplomatic addition to our catalogue ever submitted by freewheelin' John Roshell (formerly GAUCHE-ell) but might just possibly be the perfectly wrong font choice for your more bungling, inept, incompetent and hamfisted characters.

Saugatuck is a cap-height only display typeface inspired by nature. With it’s roots based on a few hand-drawn characters from nearly a century ago by the pen artist W.E.
