Scharf is a sturdy serif of eight weights with matching true italics. Accurate serif details are carefully drawn to allow improvements to readability and further enhance the fonts' fluid and dynamic personality. While Bellas Artes, Koziupa and Paul's "other" look at intertwined classicism in calligraphy, can be compared to the repeated patterns of standardized dance steps, Tanguera is more like dancers engaged in a free form of the classic Argentine dance. Whether the embrace is open or closed, the walk parallel or crossed, it is still classical tango, with leader and follower blending together, sometimes in relaxed softness, sometimes in alert sharpness, yet never losing the clearest of communication. Tanguera provides essential rhythm to any packaging design that calls for clean and classical personalization.

This is a version of the Bergsland Fashion stylized sans serif font family that is very high-waisted and sleek with rounded terminals called Bergsland Round. Round is my favorite out of the group as it is looser and friendlier. This four-font set has a Regular and a Black plus the italics. The stroke is only slightly modulated. The letterforms are higher, with a more open aperture, and sprinkled with breaks to add light and sparkle. This an attempt at a readable sans serif for text. It has many OpenType features and 465 characters per font: Caps, lower case, small caps, old style figures, numerators, denominators, accents characters and so on.

Lilith Script Pro is a family inspired from hand lettering and calligraphic typography that I've seen when in urban cities when I've travelled the world. Its strength is the magical mix of contextual alternates and 104 ligatures. Both open type enabled and completely automatic make sure that the flow of the writing will always be pleasant and perfect. The ligatures will always be substituted automatically through the "liga" feature, while the contextual alternates can be turned on and off through the "calt" feature. Sometimes the ugliest pets can be the cutest ones. And the dirtiest fonts can be the most charming ones. Like CA Smut which comes in two styles that can be stacked on top of each other. “Regular” is the shadow, while “Fill” is the filling. Create little masterpieces by playing with different colors, offset or deviating tracking. You can even try to use the “Fill” style on its own, but do so at you own risk. The spacing and kerning is optimized for the use with “Regular”, so be open minded for surprising results. If you ever had the intention to design a horror movie poster, there’s no way around CA Smut.

»Cristal True« is an elaborate matrix display font. It contains 645 letters per font style and some Open Type features: Different stylistic alternates, small caps, various font styles and different sets of numerals. It is monospaced and therefor easy to handle, if you want to simulate the look and feel of a LCD display. The basis of this font is a Union-Jack or sixteen-segment display (SISD). The great enigma There are hidden depths to FS Silas Sans. First impressions are of a functional, multi-purpose typeface with a cool, edgy, angular character. Gaze into its eyes a little longer, though, and you'll detect a more nuanced, colourful personality, with full, open, satisfyingly squarish forms balancing the abruptness of the sharply-angled terminals and ascenders. Authoritative, official and stern on the outside; amiable and welcoming on the inside. You’re so Dane The designers, led by Phil Garnham, were trying to capture something straight-talking, authentic, and a little... Scandinavian. ‘We were thinking about some of the characters in Danish dramas that were on in the early stages of the font’s development, like The Killing and The Bridge,’ says Phil. ‘The police officers, that is, not the psychopathic killers. Smart and a bit cool, but with a warm heart.’ For a good Danish name, we settled on Silas. It was that or Hans-Christian. The finer points Silas Sans rewards close inspection. Study, if you will, its amply squarish forms, the roomy ‘o’ and ‘e’, in particular. Observe the angular ascenders and terminals of, for example, the ‘L’, ‘I’, ‘d’ and ‘i’, inferring the movement and lift of a pen. Consider the cuts to the ‘A’ and ‘v’ that create harmony with adjacent letters. And scrutinise the subtle ink traps set within the ‘A’ and ‘Y’ for reproduction at small sizes. A fine subject, we think you’ll agree, and available in a versatile range of weights to make (with FS Silas Slab) a typographic system with a comprehensive hierarchy.

Bay Tavern is the first weathered version of our Tavern font that's based on Algerian. With three weights, open faced and outline versions to choose from you're sure to find the right style for your new project, restaurant menu, logo, t-shirt design or Pirate costume party. Bay Tavern includes all the same alternates as our regular Tavern font family. While our original Tavern font has been increased to include five weights additional weights for Bay Tavern will have to wait for now, adding the notched cut in's were all done by hand which causes a lot of cramping so a long break is needed before creating the extra weights. The Fill fonts in the Bay Tavern family are meant to be used with Bay Tavern Open fonts, if you're using Bay Tavern Open then select Bay Tavern Fill, if you're using Bay Tavern Open L then select Bay Tavern Fill L, if you're using Bay Tavern Open S then select Bay Tavern Fill S, if you're using Bay Tavern Open SL then select Bay Tavern Fill SL, the same rule goes for the Open X version.

Staple is a Display Font. Each letter and number is made up of a clever arrangement of staples. Together, they retain the simplicity and beauty of a perfectly folded stapler pin. This creates a font that provides very good readability, solid shape and simple elegance that makes it perfect for use as a display font. To add elegance to the font, the letters and numerals are designed to retain the pin identity across all characters. Care has been taken so that the pins do not overlap. Nor are the pins bent or twisted into unnatural shapes to create the characters.

Parte is a organic handwritted font inspired by natural brush typography. Written in rapid motion using a slightly dry brush pen. This will give you a fresh and elegant design. Harajuku Script is an ‘easy-on-the-eye’ script font. I made it with a Japanese brush pen. The font is quite stylish, so I named it after Tokyo’s Harajuku area, which is known internationally as a center of Japanese youth culture and fashion. Harajuku Script would look good anywhere, but product packaging, websites and magazines could profit from this handwritten gem.

Sonopa is a classically unclassifiable face, with an array of standard and extended ligatures and alternates, tabular and lining oldstyle figures. In essence, it is a playful, hand-penned script, with elements of rigidity taken from more structured styles. Sonopa contains enough detail to fare well at poster sizes, with an evenness of color that is also suitable for text runs.

ITC Kallos is the work of British designer Phill Grimshaw, a text typeface family with traditional calligraphic flair. It is the result of Grimshaw's first experiments with text typeface design. The long ascenders and descenders of the lowercase alphabet lend them a look of sophisticated elegance. The capitals display the unmistakable influence of the pen and the proportions of classic inscriptional forms.

FebDei is neat, meticulous hand printing in two weights, plain and bold, each with italics. It has little contrast and appears as if it was written with a pencil or ball-point pen. Unlike many other hand-printing fonts, it has tiny serifs. FebDrei was created in the process of making the fonts AllSmiles and BringInTheFrowns and can be used with them.

During the early years of the 20th Century, America's fascination with automobiles was just beginning. The cover for a 1916 piece of sheet music for the comedy song "On the Old Back Seat of the Henry Ford" had the title hand lettered by a round nib pen in an Art Nouveau style. This is now available digitally as Running Board JNL.

Stibium is a mix between a garalde character and a transitional character. It is inspired by the humanist calligrahy of the Renaissance, the axis is oblique but with more compact proportions and pointed serifs inspired by the pen drawing. It has 7 different styles with the italics. Each contains 685 glyphs with an alternate "A", small caps, Old Style numbers and symbols.

Inspired by a handwritten Cyrillic placard seen in a book about the Soviet Union, Statue of Liberty's Underwear was envisioned as having been written with a very thick pen with a flat tip held horizontally. Additionally, the letterforms were sculpted to resemble lettering common in early 20th-century Russian constructivism pieces. A Cyrillic alphabet, or "azbuka", set was included in the font.

Cal Fraktur Brush is one more font from the PKG “Cal” (Calligraphic) group. This time, we used a wide brush instead of the calligraphic pen for the sketches. This font is widely used in the typographic creation of shorter text forms such as headlines, tattoo and graffiti quotes, book covers, t-shirt designs, logos, posters, movie spots, banners, labels... Hand-drawn with calligraphy ink and an antique dip pen, Mignonette is ready for all uses charming and rustic. Walter Foster art books strike again, this time with a bouncy script based on the work of Al Mack, from his Lettering: Brush & Pen in the Single Stroke. Light and lively, this typeface proves that it don't mean a thing if you ain't... The Opentype version of this font supports Unicode 1250 (Central European) languages, as well as Unicode 1252 (Latin) languages.

Each letter is handmade and drawn with a “blobbly” pen, leaving a wobbly and grungyline. The corners are rounded which adds a blurry look to the rough lines. All in all, Jealous Radio is kind-looking,soft, yet rough and really organic looking! Useful for a wide range of things: from kids products, comics, posters, invitations or even protest banners!

Eckhardt Trilinear JNL was inspired by [and modeled from] a pen-drawn alphabet found in a 1960 edition of the Speedball® lettering textbook. As with many other "sign painter-oriented" typefaces by Jeff Levine, it is named in honor of Jeff's good friend -- the late Albert Eckhardt, Jr. Al ran Allied Signs in Miami, Florida from 1959 until his passing.

Kashima is brush font with Japanese style that made using the real brush pen. It looks very natural. Kaleidos is a lining and clean brush script with soft and round letterforms. It is sketched and drawn with a pointed brush pen. Kaleidos has plenty of alternates, ligatures and swashes so you can build interesting-looking words and headlines. Although Kaleidos is condensed and quite tightly spaced it is clear and legible. Great type font inspirations can come from any time period and any location in the world. A Febuary, 1932 issue of an Estonian woman’s magazine called “Eesti Naine” had its name hand lettered using a round nib lettering pen. This extra-wide Art Deco design is now available as Round Nib Deco JNL, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

I have always been fascinated by Grigory Rasputin, the rogue ‘monk’ who influenced the Russian Tsar Nicholas and - according to rumours - bedded the Tsarina. Grigory font was handmade with the use of a Chinese marker pen and rough paper. Grigory comes with all the trimmings; some alternate glyphs, a few double letter ligatures, a great amount of diacritics and basic Cyrillic as well.

DF-Stromboli doesn’t look like it but in fact it is a script typeface. It was written with a coffee spoon, acting like a broad pen, in the ashes of the Stromboli volcano right on top of a scanner. This typeface evokes orientation and fear, the dichotomy of Stromboli’s personification. A tribute to il faro del mediterraneo: the mediterranean lighthouse.

Rage Italic is the work of American designer Ron Zwingelberg. It was one of the first casual brush style scripts with a rough, textured edge. The initial-like capitals complement a lowercase alphabet which links together to create the look of true handwriting. Rage Italic font is ideal for work that should have the spontaneous look of pen writing on parchment.

Counting four variations for each letter and two for the numbers, Felt Noisy delivers a cool organic feel with a strong and spontaneous ​​ attitude. The typeface was drawn with a bad felt tip pen​ and resulted in two rather nice fonts that will stylishly fit many visual projects out there that don't look for any transparency at all. Give it a go!

Ernst is a high powered energetic font designed to provide an interesting and authentic feel to text that needs the handwritten ballpoint pen look without descending into bland letter shapes focused solely on legibility. Ernst has a wide array of glyphs (nearly 1500) defined for many linguistic needs including support for Cyrillic, Runic, Ogham, and various Astronomical and Astrological symbols.

Transistor is a decorative and electronic serif typeface. One of the historical connection was the Didot, development in French. Transistor typeface was designed from the concept and experimentation with electronic circuits. The main typographic proportion are connected with the modern typeface, like Didot where the letterforms are inspired from the point nib pen design approach but also with electronic type style letterforms.

A playful, casual take on round nib pen lettering was spotted amongst some online scans from an old lettering book. The free-form and stylized shapes of the letters and numbers are reminiscent of old-time show cards, movie titles and signage in vogue around the early 1900s through the 1920s. Fancy Show Card JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Murbia was written with a glimmer-pen which has left the letters with a grungy look. What's even better is that the font comes with loads of ligatures for both double letters/numbers and the most common letter combinations...just to make the font look more like real scribbled handwriting! You will need to use OpenType supporting applications to use the autoligatures.

From Okaycat is the Azsion font, hand-lettered with loving hand in a distinctive style. This font is artistically textured with great detail, yet highly legible with a soft pleasant look. Azsion matches well with Okaycat font, Azsitra. Illustrated pen & ink, artistic typography for that hand drawing look. Azsion is extended, containing West European diacritics & ligatures, making it suitable for multilingual environments & publications.
