NorB Bop was inspired from my old BopMusic Script I used for my jazz lead-sheets, a handwritten text font with it's unique west-coast music copyist lettering style. You can use this font with any word processing program for text and display use, print and web projects, apps and ePub, comic books, graphic identities, branding, editorial, advertising, scrapbooking, cards and invitations and any casual lettering purpose… or even just for fun! NorB Bop comes with 8 weights, each with their matching italics and in a Normal and Condensed version.

Lasting Impression JNL was rendered from scans of a 1930s rubber stamp printing set. At small sizes it has the look of hand-stamped lettering. At larger sizes, the user will see jagged and angular lines giving the font a kind of retro-grunge look. This typeface was the model for the more cleanly-drawn Casual Friday JNL, also by Jeff Levine. There is a limited character set, and both the spacing and kerning have been intentionally omitted so that the results will more closely resemble the uneven letter spacing of rubber stamps on paper.

While searching online for vintage type inspirations, an image was spotted of an old letterhead for a steel manufacturing company. The hand lettering of the word 'Ludlum' only offered D,L,M and E as visual examples, but from this Jeff Levine has designed Eckhardt Dualine JNL - a Deco-flavored dual-line type font. As with a number of other releases that emulate hand-lettering or sign painting, Jeff has named this font in honor of his good friend, the late Albert Eckhardt, Jr.; who ran Allied Signs in Miami from 1959 until his passing.

Say hello to a new Typoforge member! Nisse is a display font family that consists of 4 styles (including italics). The regular and rough versions differ in the amount of wear. It’s inspired by Rex typeface first published by „The Jan Idzikowski and Co. Foundry“ in 1930. Nisse has a high amount of detail making it ideal for large prints and poster design. It is specified by a huge amount of automatic alternates. Each basic latin letter has five versions, the numbers have thee versions and extended latin letters have two versions.

The roots of this font go back to 1967. A book title in trendy letters was created in a completely ingenuous way as a film prop for a Super 8 fun film. I drew the letters with felt-tip pen and poster paint without thinking too much about it. It wasn't until a good 50 years later that I realized, this was a first awkward typeface draft. The flower power vibe was captured here subconsciously. In 2019 I completed the few glyphs and created variants that I would not have thought of at the time.

Cherolina is a lovely elegant script font that includes a full set of uppercase and lowercase letters, numerals, multi-lingual support, punctuation and ligatures. You also get short lowercase beginning and ending swashes, and lowercase ending swashes which serve to connect two words or letters. Those are so perfect for invitations, monograms. This font also includes long lowercase beginning and ending heart swashes. Cherolina has a smooth texture so would be perfect for all types of printing techniques. You can use it for embroidery, laser cut, gold foil and more.

Originally issued as Marggraff Bold Script by the Dresden foundry of A.G. Vorm Brüder Butter. Minor variations were given to a few letters to even the color.

Kaleidos Rough lining is a brush script. It has two versions; Kaleidos Rough and Kaleidos Textured. The rough version has rough edges to mimic authentic brush strokes. The textured version also has those rough edges and in addition it has a brush stroke texture to mimic dry ink. Both versions are sketched and drawn with a pointed brush pen. Kaleidos Rough has plenty of alternates, ligatures and swashes so you can build interesting-looking words and headlines. Although Kaleidos Rough is condensed and quite tightly spaced it is clear and legible. Also check out Kaleidos Smooth, a clean and smooth version of Kaleidos.

Another variant to the ever-popular Art Deco sans lettering with solid centers (no counters) was found in the hand-lettered title on the cover of the 1933 song "There's A Ring around the Moon". As a font designer for films Henning Brehm delivers fonts with a whip-sharp eye for precision. Black Pearl is a revival of an ornate calligraphic font possibly created between 1850 and 1870. I spent two years looking for all the letters of this font; once I found them all, I immediately went to work on recreating this old classic. I was not able to find any numbers for the font, so new to this style are numbers, some punctuation and currency symbols. The Truetype and OpenType formats include an extended character set with Central and Eastern European accented letters. Extra characters in this font are left and right pointing hands in place of the less than and greater than keys; a ship’s wheel, located on the asterisk key; and a boat anchor on the bracket keys.

Hennigar is a Neo Grotesque sans serif especially useful for display text and headlines. Many of the rounded letters are based on the appearance of the letter O with very little variation in width. Because of it's condensed nature the apertures are narrow with extenders that dip well below the base line. Similarly many of the lowercase characters are based on the lowercase o. Linotype Gotharda is part of the Take Type Library, chosen from contestants of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. This display font started as an experiment of the Croatian-German designer Milo Dominik Ivir. He wanted to design a font with characteristics of both sans serif and Gothic faces. From the Gothic he took the heavy strokes, the narrow letters, the exaggerated overmatter and the high x-height. The modern standard forms of the letters s, a, x and z, the clear capitals and the lack of serifs are the characteristics taken from sans serif faces.
