  34. Forte by Monotype, $29.99
Forte was designed by the Austrian commercial artist by Carl Reissberger who was trained as a compositor and later taught typography and drawing in Vienna. The idea for the Forte script font came from the study of plants, individual letter forms being inspired by the long stems and furry heads of the reed. Slightly inclined, it gives the impression of having been made with a bold brush or marker, and can therefore be used in work that requires an informal appearance. Forte is a strong design which contrasts well with sans serif faces and classical modern types. Use the Forte font in advertising, flyers and labels.
  35. Garden Collection by Cultivated Mind, $25.00
Introducing the Garden Collection. A new Garden Grown font family by Cultivated Mind Type. This hand-painted collection includes four scripts, two caps fonts, plant art, extras art and free words.  Garden Grown Pro scripts includes 260 alternates and 46 ligatures. Ligatures are programmed to pop up when specific letter pairs are typed. Try the alternates and ligatures together to give your designs a realistic hand-painted look. The all caps fonts and basic scripts do not include alternates or ligatures. Use the free words font for keyword and hashtag ideas. Garden Grown works great for cookbook covers, product design, packaging design, restaurant marketing, magazines and film.
  36. Linotype Schachtelhalm by Linotype, $29.99
Linotype Schachtelhalm is part of the Take Type Library, chosen from the entries of the Linotype-sponsored International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. The inspiration of German designer Ilka Kwiatkowski is not hard to figure out and the font carries the German name of the plant which was its model. The alphabet consists exclusively of capital letters with clear geometric basic forms. The font is meant for headlines in point sizes of 18 and larger. The details which make Linotype Schachtelhalm unique and true to its inspiration are however best seen in large point sizes, such as on posters, and Schachtelhalm is best combined with neutral fonts.
  37. AM Floriana by URW Type Foundry, $39.99
The origin of AM Floriana is already several decades ago. At a time when there was no photo set and the choice of metal type fonts was still very manageable, Alois Menacher received an order to design a custom business logo from a flower shop. He then created a hand-drawn lettering based on the form of leaves and plants. Now Alois Menacher professionally designed and developed AM Floriana on the basis of this lettering. AM Floriana is ideally suited for packaging design, as well as for display design and logo design. AM Floriana is available as a Bold version and will soon be complemented by further cuts.
