Esteric, originally created with a concept of happiness, fun and playful. Designed initially as an all-caps font. Lowercase are just slightly lower than Capitals. BILLIARD was born from the numerous sketches André Toet did for the design of a series of postage stamps in 2011. It’s a capital monospaced and ‘fun’ alphabet, based on the classic billiard play with two white and one red ball. Actually snooker and pool were derived from this rather old sport! In Europe it used to be a sport played by elderly people, practiced in traditional bars, including the smell of beer and the at that time prevalent smell of cigarettes and cigars. These days billiard, snooker and pool are quite popular once again with young people. Obvia, a geohumanist type for all media. Obvia appeared as a result of direct observation on typefaces classified as geometric and the plan to explore for the first time width axes - to be published soon - expanding its usability. The idea behind Obvia’s design was to create a distancing from geometrically pure shapes, in this case, square shapes. Then some details were added, such as subtle inktraps, concave endings of the stems and carefully drawn alternate characters, giving a ‘geohumanist’ tone to the font. This first family of Obvia has 9 weights ranging from Thin to Black with their respective italics, delivering a strong typographic identity, from the paper to the pixel.

Büro Destruct’s «BDR mono» typeface has a long tradition in the font library of typedifferent. Initially designed by Lopetz as a single weight, monospaced Mac PostScript Type 1 font way back in 1999, it got a first update as a little family with light, regular and bold weights, plus an extended glyphs set in Opentype format during 2006. With this 2021 update the typeface received a second rounded family and a complete glyphs set with all needed characters used in the north, east, south and west of Europe. The «BDR mono 2021» serves great in signage, routing people, architecture, technical plans, manuals, or even science and fiction related communications.

Sausage is unapologetically bold and bulbous. Influenced by magnetic fridge letters, hot dogs and 70s phototype fonts, it is retro, but not cloyingly so. It was a deliberate plan to make Sausage only a single style typeface. The freedom that not having to think about how the font should relate to other weights allowed me to push the glyphs to places they might not otherwise have been able to go. There isn't a single corner in the entire font, and you'd be hard pushed to find a straight line. This is as soft and friendly as they come, and still equipped with numerous ligatures, alternates and arrows for sophisticated typography.

Hi there, thanks for looking at my first typeface. It began as one of my original sketches back in 2019 as a freelance graphic designer trying to create unique letterforms that I could use for posters or websites with other possible use cases in mind for commercial use. The sketches were then passed on to and worked on with Vladimir Tsagolov who has more experience in creating professional typefaces, the experience for me was invaluable, and I have many more typefaces I'm now working on. Shiny Ink Display is a collection of hand drawn fonts based on the flow of reflective viscous ink with 7 styles, some styles can be interchangeable and used on top of each other. For example, Shiny Ink Display Plain, can be used with Shiny Ink Display Plain Lined to create shadows underneath it, at angles not available with the Shadow styles you'll see in the font collection. Shiny Ink Display has various use cases, maybe even infinite, but more specifically for posters or websites with large text, though it bodes quite well at smaller sizes, and is visually appealing to its viewers as long as it's at a legible font size. When it comes to font pairing, Shiny Ink Display works especially well with Monospace and sans-serif fonts. You can check the poster examples on this page to help you imagine what you could do with the font styles.
