The font Pillar is inspired by steel pillars that support buildings and bridges together. In similar fashion, the font is designed to support the content for which it will be used. The font is intended to be used as a header or headline font, but a creative designer will find other uses for it. Most of the characters are based on the same rectangle and therefore contain the same width which displays symmetry. The font contains 242 glyphs which include: uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, symbols, accented characters, and ligatures.

Frank Marciuliano designed the basic forms of Linotype Constitution around those of the swash alphabets of the 18th century. While the capitals are generously designed, the lower case letters have more reserved forms and are narrower. The characters of Constitution seem to have been set to paper with a feather and ink. The marked stroke contrast and elegant forms makes it a dynamic and sentimental font. The capitals can be used as initials mixed with other fonts, but Constitution is also good for texts which should give a feeling of nostalgia.

Garamond Nova Pro is one of the fonts of the SoftMaker font library. It is a modern interpretation of the classic Garamond style. Metalet Modern JNL was based on the letters found within the Metalet Movie Titling Set manufactured by the Modern Display Advertising Company of Hollywood, California circa the 1940s. Each stamped metal letter would be affixed to the background surface via the use of miniature magnets. Once in place, titles for home movies or slides could be photographed, the letters then returned to their storage area in their box. The character shapes show unusual stroke movement, which means the original models used for these letters were most likely hand-drawn.

As Word War I raged on during 1917, a large number of songs were written as morale builders for both the soldiers leaving for overseas service as well as their friends, family and loved ones. One such song, "Send Me Away with A Smile" has its title hand lettered in a simple, yet somewhat stylized sans serif design that was so much a part of the Art Nouveau style of that era. Simply Nouveau JNL captures and preserves that design within a digital typeface; available in both regular and oblique versions.

Architype Crouwel is a collection of typefaces created in collaboration with Wim Crouwel, following his agreement with The Foundry, to recreate his experimental alphabets as digital fonts. Crouwel's most recognized work was for the Van Abbe and Stedelijk museums (1954 –72) where he established his reputation for radical, grid-based design. Architype Vierkant was developed from the few letterforms that Crouwel created for an opening spread in a 1972 Drupa catalogue, on the theme ‘typo vision international’ – this single reference showed an interesting interplay of the experimental ideas underpinning his controversial ‘new alphabet’ and Fodor.

We have created this family from the numerous derivatives in use for newspapers since the middle of the 1800s to the 1970s, inspired by the well known Clarendon. Mainly, the patterns are those used to print Le Petit Journal, a popular French Newspaper of the era (published from 1863 to 1937). The present version contains Normal, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic styles, in two sub families: 1906 French News for texts and titlings with upper and lower case, and 1906 French News Caps (Caps, small caps, small numerals, for texts and titlings).

My kids love toadstools, especially the red capped ones with the white spots (they’re called Amanita muscaria, a.k.a. fly agaric - in case you’re wondering). A couple of months ago you could find loads of them in the forest, but now they’ve all disappeared. Toadstool font will not disappear, however. It is a very legible, clean and neat text font with an uneven baseline, slightly bouncy glyphs and more diacritics than a forest has mushrooms. Use if for packaging, kids’ book covers and posters. This toadstool is the non-toxic variety, so go nuts.

Edda Pro is another art nouveau revival by German type designer Ralph M. Unger. Edda Pro is based on Edda, designed in 1900 by Heinrich Heinz Heune for Schelter & Giesecke, Leipzig, Germany. Jongleur is a multifaceted hand-drawn display typeface based on a Maury Nemoy lettering from 1957. The calligraphy font Banner was designed by Martin Wait in 1986 and mixes the character of the 1940s with that of the 1980s in its forms. The round and somewhat reserved lower case letters make a balanced basis for the generous capitals. Black outer contours surround a white inner area and are heavier on the right side of the figures, making the characters look as though they have shadows. Banner should be used in point sizes of 18 and larger and is meant for lighthearted short texts or headlines.

Roanne is a sans serif family named after a town in France. This font family contains 2 width variations: Normal and Condensed, and all together counts 44 font styles. Koala was originally designed in 1999 by Eric de Berranger with an individual, independent character. A distinguishing characteristic of this sans serif font is its marked stroke contrast, typical of Modern Face fonts. The open, airy forms are reminiscent of ancient Roman capitals. The lower case letters display traits similar to those often seen on posters and in advertisements of the 1930s and 1940s. The first three weights of the family were designed at ParaType (ParaGraph) in 1997 by Dmitry Kirsanov . They were based on the artworks of Moscow graphic designer Andrey Kryukov (1923-1997). The original version was developed by Kryukov at the end of the sixties for Russian railways. The proportions and elements of construction were inspired by Eurostile (1962) by Aldo Novarese. It is intended for use in advertising and display typography. In 2009, Dmitry added the new styles, corrected the old ones, and enhanced them with extended character sets.

Melodica was so named because the characters dance easily across the page as music wafts across a room. Karben 105 is inspired by the classic, no nonsense DIN, and has a form that follows its highly legible function. Based on a lozenge, it has a clean and pure geometry with even stroke weights. There are also monospaced variants of both Karben 105 and Karben 205 and a stencil version. The Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum staff is honored to partner with New York-based graphic designer Louise Fili on her first font release project. The new font, “Mardell,” is named for Hamilton retiree and wood type cutter Mardell Doubek. This is the fourth font to be cut for the museum as part of the Wood Type Legacy Project. "The bold, lively angularity of Italian futurist letterforms made it a natural choice for wood type.” says Fili. This digital version presents Fili’s wood type design for use in web and print applications.

Georges Peignot designed Cochin based on copper engravings of the 18th century and Charles Malin cut the typeface in 1912 for the Paris foundry Deberny & Peignot. The font is named after the French engraver Charles Nicolas Cochin (1715–1790) although its style had little to do with that of the copper artist’s. The font displays a curious mix of style elements and could be placed as a part of the typographical Neorenaissance movement. Cochin is especially large and wide and was very popular at the beginning of the 20th century.

Dungeon is a glyphic font family that combines elements of both sans serif and spur serif typefaces. It was designed exclusively for the Red Rooster Collection in 1998 by Steve Jackaman (ITF). The family is loosely based on Dick Jensen’s famous design “Serpentine,” which was created for the Visual Graphics Corporation (VGC) in 1972. Dungeon is available in four weights, each of which is optimized for legibility at any size. The family’s masculine feel has helped it to turn up in a variety of projects, ranging from brand identity to advertising.

DonnaBodoni was inspired by David Farey. He once wrote, somebody should honor the widow of Giambattista Bodoni the brave Signora Paola Margherita Dall 'Aglio for her effort to have the Manuale tipografico di Giambattista Bodoni published after his death. Since I have redesigned a good deal of Bodoni’s work and added some of my own, I thought it was my duty to do at least this for Bodoni’s unknown widow. Here is my 3-cut script in her honor. Arnica is a display font based on a simple geometry that uses circles (and modules) as a structure. It is an experimental project where, in place of upercases, has alternate characters and swashes. Furthermore, arnica has 50 discretionary ligatures which, when activated, give a totally different touch to the font and also has the bold weight, which reinforce the experimentalism of the project. Combining lowercases with upercases, plus discretionary ligatures and bolds, you can write the same word in several different ways. The character set offers more than 400 glyphs and support for many languages.

This font was inspired by the well-known philosopher René Descartes' hand writing. In 1634, from Amsterdam, he wrote a famous letter to his friend Mersenne, a great scientist monk, in which he spoke about Gallileus works. The greatest part of our glyphs is based on this document. We have added some letters Descartes himself didn't use, like modern s and j (he used exclusively s long and i instead of j). A lot of ligatures and alternates are enriching the font, giving a better appearance of real handwriting.

Sola is a simplistic, stylish, and modern san serif type font with the unique addition of rounded corners. When creating this font, Bank Gothic originally influenced me, however when I made the square shapes lower case the font didn't retain its sophistication, so it was designed narrower. The result is this warm and soft looking font that works for all types of design, from posters and fliers to logos and business cards. Sola also features standard ligature, stylistic alternates, titling characters with extended width, and a set of standard pictograms.

Sean Henrich ATF is a sharp, rounded geometric display font and works best in text and display applications, such as headline, posters, signage, magazine, product branding, corporate branding, logos and titles. Several alternate characters are included in this typeface. Sean Henrich ATF font has six weights; ultra light, extra light, light, regular, bold and extra bold, each available in italic, making a total of twelve styles. Each style has a full upper and lower-case, accents, punctuation and a selection of monetary symbols. Currently Available for PC, in Open Type, PostScript or TrueType.

Too often, familiarity in type design can fool us into mislabeling similar styles of lettering. The Art Deco years provided many variations of the thick-and-thin alphabet, and we tend to lump all of them together as being "a version of Broadway", as this is the most popular of the genre. However, if one looks closely at each design, they will see variations of line thickness, angles and even individual character design. One such variation is Stagehand JNL, based on a set of wood type and now presented in digital form.

The evocative and original Retrofit is based on typefaces of the 1940s and 50s, which extolled the virtues of American products in glossy magazines for the new suburban consumer. Oversized terminal bulbs and occasional slab serifs lend a rhythm and a bouncing baseline provides just the "zing" to spice up that bland typographic treatise. Retrofit's easy familiarity can be seen on children's books, games, food packaging, and other places where a kid friendly note is needed. Retrofit has been adapted by Quickutz for their punched letter cutting tool, and re-named "Maggie".
