The term starboard derives from the Old English steorbord, meaning the side on which the ship is steered. Before the steering wheel, boats were steered by an oar at the stern of the ship. Since most sailors were right handed, this is where you would find your steering oar! Starboard font is a rough, handmade, brushy kinda font. My family and I are off to England for a camping holiday this summer. I have booked some small, basic campsites which are close to nature. Le Monde Livre, designed by Jean François Porchez, along with Le Monde Journal re-establishes this practice.
