Bambusa Pro is a sturdy expressive modern calligraphy family of 4 fonts: Regular, Bold, Basic and Ornaments. It owes its name to the bamboo pen that was used to draw all of the characters and swashes. The typical ink-strokes of the bamboo pen give Bambusa Pro a distinctively different appearance than dip pen calligraphy fonts like Salt & Spices Pro. Similarities between the two are a wide variety of long swashes that connect to the first and last letter of a sentence or name. But with Bambusa Pro this even goes for accented characters, and all upper and lower case letters. The original Lawabo was started many years ago by Rainer Scheichelbauer. Its ­minimalistic and rounded shapes are reminiscent of bathroom ceramics, hence the name. Schriftlabor designer Miriam Surányi added bold and italic shapes, and produced the family.

CrappyJoe got its name because I wrote all characters with a felt-pen with a broken tip. It's still very readable though.

This Bodoni caps only font was an experiment from Dave Farey how tall such a Bodoni could be elongated in its design. It reminds to the look of a fence, but in large sizes it may fit on a narrow window.

Markout is a chunky marker pen font. With a casual style and loose baseline, it's a great display font for titles, headings and logos. The Markout family has regular and alt versions, where some of the characters are different. In the 1960s it was a popular trend to personalize one’s possessions with your initials. From wallets and handbags to eyeglasses; from luggage to even cars, initial personalization was the fad of the time. The British division of Gulf Oil offered for sale a set of gold metallic stick-on initials for 25 pence, complete with two Gulf logos so the company could get some extra advertising mileage out of the promotion. I was cleaning out my pencil box and found an old marker pen. I wanted to throw it away, because it was leaking all over my stuff, but decided I could use it one more time.
