Mustang is a powerfully expressive brush font that combines an edgy urban aesthetic with a smooth feminine flow. Some have suggested that Mustang is romantic. Some say it has something to do with speed or freedom. While precisely what Mustang expresses is up to debate, there’s no doubt that it’s expressing it with intensity. The style was born in my high school years, when I would wreck my notebooks with multiple layers of graffiti tags which would start in the margins and then creep in to cover the entire page. I developed a sensibility towards a very fast, expressive use of my hand, which later easily and naturally translated into brush. I used this style typographically on several projects throughout the years, and even turned it into a signature illustration style. Mustang is the second font, after Streetbrush, to use this brushwork as its inspiration. Mustang will be especially evocative at large sizes, where the details and sharpness of the shapes really come to life. It also holds together well for use as body copy, but may lose some of its aesthetic integrity at really small sizes.

Gothic fraktur inspired design, I wanted to resemble old german calligraphy but making it very geometric, so I used an isometric reticle during sketching. This is a display font, created for BIG sizes, non textual. I recommend it for branding, poster, logos or titles. Its very experimental -- it exists within the limits of legible and illegible reading. I choose the name “Garbancera” because gothic calligraphy has issues that are linked with dark, gloomy, lugubrious things or fear feelings, culturally in Mexico. I related this with death and for mexicans, death is something we celebrate and give us joy and happiness, annoying, the most representative Mexican characters, one of those is “La Calavera Garbancera” or better known as “La Catrina”, a clothes skeleton with only a hat. It was drawn this way to make a critic to all Mexicans at that time, that were poor but they wanted to represent a high lifestyle, “those that where to the bones, but with a French hat with ostrich feathers”. La Catrina was created by José Guadalupe Posada, a Mexican lithographer but also a newspaper illustrator. I think this is a beautiful font that can lead to great results, just use it wisely.

Oscar Niemeyer is one of the greatest architects of our time—his unique way of mixing straight lines and abstract curves gives rise to an unmistakable and characteristic style. This typeface is my own tribute to Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. The design process started when my wife and I visited Brazil while she was running a series of workshops on calligraphy. In my spare time, I would walk through the streets of beautiful cities like Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo, enjoying the local architecture and urban life. I had also the opportunity to attend to some of the workshops during which I was able to observe the organic of calligraphy and people. Then, I started to draw some shapes that reflected everything about this beautiful place: Niemeyer’s architecture and work and, in his own words ‘the curves on the body of the beloved woman’. This versatile typeface comes in 8 weights with matching italics, alternative characters, oldstyle figures and much more! Edita is a gentle typeface, humanistic in concept yet with a contemporary feel, where softness and fluidity play a very important role. This can be seen especially in its italics, which are loosely based on handwriting. This book typeface family is intended to be used in books where text is set together with photographs and other graphic elements. However, Edita is a general book typeface, versatile enough to be used in many other contexts, from novels to promotion material. Edita’s large character set, covering most languages which use Latin script, and styles give the designer the possibility to work with a big typographic palette, allowing complex typesetting with several levels of information. This is further enhanced by the two optically corrected weights Edita Small and Small Italic. They have been particularly designed for their use in very small type sizes, such as in captions and notes. They differ in having a slightly bigger x-height, heavier stems, reduced contrast, and carefully drawn ink-traps to ensure legibility at sizes as small as 5 pt. Made up of sixteen individual weights and spread over three different optical sizes, Essonnes is designed to bring utility back to the Didot genre. It’s a common belief among designers that Didones don’t work for text. This wasn’t true in 1819 and it isn’t true today. Like its forbearers, Essonnes is a truly optical family—not just a study in adjusting contrast. The text and display weights have been designed from the ground up for their intended roles. This means that everything from the height of the uppercase & lowercase letters have been specifically tuned for their intended purpose. Like many typefaces, Essonnes started after falling in love with a piece of history. In this case, it was the eccentric forms of Pierre Didot’s Type and the evolution of the High contrast Didone throughout the 19th century. It was out of curiosity and love for these forms that led to the first draft of what would become Essonnes back in 2011. These unique situations—screens, modern printing methods, the previous 200 years of typographic innovation since the original design, my own life experiences—have led to a typeface that, while based on history, is not stuck in it.

The name Visine can be translated most simply as HEIGHTS. Visine FF was developed out of the necessity to make the most of the space on the visual format. Visine FF was developed in the Balkans, where Cyrillic, Latin and Glagolitic were the three historical writing systems used in the former Yugoslavia to denote cultural, ethnic, religious and political identities. Premium Sans is a professional typeface which is aspired to solve the major typographic challenges in editorial, print, Graphic design, Commercial designs and other form of templates and documents such as pdf or ms word. It has four weights light, regular, semi bold, bold. Each with an italic profile, so in total it has 8 typefaces. We created this typeface to have attention of reader in Graphic commercial designs and as well as on editorial designs. The X-height plays a great role in readability of a typeface, so we tried to give it a reasonably high x-height with accordance to ascenders and descenders. We've engineered it in such a way that it can easily be paired with script, slab serif and serif typefaces. Premium sans is made on minimum required character set which will be handy while typing currency symbols like cents, dollars or euro and also be very useful when typing the characters consisting of diacritic. We've designed it in such a way that either you write a long content for editorial purposes or you create a typographic or graphic/commercial design it will look nice and fine which is the uniqueness of this font.

Broadgauge Ornate originated from MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan in 1869 and was only available as an all caps font with numbers. Today this old beautiful wood type rises again from the archives complete with original numbers and an all new lowercase. An all caps Greek character set has also been added plus accented characters for western, central and Eastern European countries. Included in each font file are two sets of left and right pointing hands located on the Less Than and Greater Than keys and also on the Bracket keys. Because this font works well with a Las Vegas theme I've decided to make the pointing hands gambling related with one set of hands rolling dice and the other holding cards. The condensed versions were created because in today's computer graphics applications people stretch and condense fonts to fit their project but don't notice the change in vertical stroke widths or line thickness. After compressing the letter shapes of each Broadgauge Ornate condensed font the vertical lines were corrected making sure they were the proper width or thickness. The results are balanced condensed versions that weren't simply compressed with out consideration for their appearance.

Zulia is located in the west of Venezuela and it is the state in where Joluvian grew up. It is a region of sunshine, high temperatures, oil and cheerful people, although we choose the name to honor his mother who is from there (zuliana) and who is proud of her land and everything that it represents the area. Zulia is also his first typographic project. It is based on two of his favourite calligraphic styles: italic and brush pen. He started with simple and contrasted strokes on paper with brush and marker. After that he developed the full alphabet and its various options for each letter, starting from a set of handmade forms that could be connected in different ways according to the user needs. What motivates him to involve this style was to create a differentiation with his daily work by generating a heavier type, contrasted and low rise. Zulia finally got life of its own with the participation of Alejandro Paul and a feedback of techniques and skills that were generated with the duo work. Zulia is not just a typeface, Zulia is his love of letters.

A narrow, modern Slab Serif. JOSEFOV is directly derived from the sans serif text font ”Hedwig“. Therefore, of course, it pairs best with “Hedwig”. The basic thought was to create a font with heavy rounded serifs in the style of ”Clarendon“ but which hardly reminds one of that particular font. The form principle of rounded serifs is applied whenever possible — for example at the points where the individual strokes of the characters join one another. JOSEFOV seems very technical, very constructed (and truly is). In order to soften up the rigid impression, the serifs are applied at some points contrary to the tradition handed down, as with the upper case A C G K M V W and the lower case a b d h i j k l s t. Historically there is no example of the laterally oriented serifs of capital and small s (S) and C G. On the other hand, the double-sided serifs on the stems of b d h k l appear at the beginning of modern times in the very first serif types from five hundred years ago. The double-sided serifs of A M V W were also customary in the first decades of printing. JOSEVOV is particularly suitable for topics such as nature, folklore, culture, music, nutrition.

Sabine is an Arabetic type design with a calligraphic flavor. It follows the guidelines of the Mutamathil Taqlidi type style with one glyph for every basic Arabic Unicode character or letter, as defined in Unicode Standards version 5.1, and one additional, final-position, glyph for each Arabic letter that is normally connected with other letters from both sides in traditional cursive Arabic strings. Sabine employs variable x-height values. It includes all required Lam-Alif ligatures and uses ligature substitutions and selected marks positioning but it does not use any other glyph substitutions or forming. Text strings composed using types of this family are non-cursive with stand-alone isolated glyphs. Tatweel (or Kashida) glyph is a zero width space. Keying it before any glyph will display that glyph isolated form. In Sabine Kashidah, Irsal, and Tasmim keying Tatweel (shift J) after certain glyphs will replace it with a long stroke glyph. In Sabine Tasmim, keying it a second time will replace glyph with a final form swash (Irsal) glyph. In Sabine Irsal all final forms are swash glyphs. Keying Tatweel before Alif Lam Lam Ha will display the Allah ligature. Sabine family includes both Arabic and Arabic-Indic numerals; all required diacritic marks, Allah ligature, in addition to standard English keyboard punctuations and major currency symbols. Fonts are available in regular and italic styles.

Duvall is an idealization created from the Edward J. Duvall lettering. Mr. Duvall was a teacher in lettering, who was well known for his book “Modern Sign Painting” in the late 40s and early 50s. Duvall cursive script is presented in five weights, Duvall 1, as a light version, to Duvall 5 as a bold version, and Duvall Style a decorative typeface with Inline, ideal for set in color layers combined with Duvall 5. Duvall is a Script font with low contrast, not intended to be used as a type of reading, but is however well adapted to small sizes because its simple form is easy to read. It is advisable to use this font for large to medium sizes. Duvall is ideal for composition, ordinal, superior and inferior numbers, and thanks to the OpenType features you can compose with alternate characters, old style numbers and with a complete set of glyphs for Eastern and Western European languages. The Duvall set comes with a font called Duvall Ribbons, a dingbats font with which you can create interesting headlines with the taste of the advertising of the 50s. Duvall FunWords is a dingbats playing with funny words in English, French and Spanish phrases. Duvall is ideal for packaging, signs, banners, branding and graphic design in general and can be combined harmonically with your favorite sans fonts.

Kufi Mutamathil is an Arabetic (extended Arabic) typeface design with heavy Arabic Kufi calligraphy accent, both on a single letter level and in an overall text look and feel. Although Kufi, the earliest Arabic calligraphy style, is often described as “stiff”, it is in fact a very flexible style. The Kufi Mutamathil typeface design underlines this calligraphy style flexibility and openness through visualizing a very legible Mutamathil design with Kufi shapes. The Mutamathil type style utilizes only one isolated glyph per Arabic Unicode character or letter, as defined in Unicode Standards. It is a very light style which does not require any standard glyph substitution or the shaping engine. The Kufi Mutamathil font family employs variable, unrestricted, x-height values. It comes in regular and left-slanted italic styles. Kufi Mutamathil includes all required Lam-Alif ligatures. Soft-vowel diacritic marks, or harakat, are selectively positioned with the majority of them appearing on the same level, over or below, following a letter, to ensure that they would not interfere with individual glyphs appearance. Kashida, or tatweel, (shft-j) is a zero-width character. Keying it before Alif-Lam-Lam-Ha will display the Allah ligature. Kufi Mutamathil includes both Arabic and Arabic-Indic numerals, in addition to all Standard English keyboard punctuations and major currency symbols.

This fine lined display type face was named Allioideae because of the ascenders of the lower cases. They are rising upright with a single stroke and are ending - depending on the font style - into a spherical blossom. The name was chosen concerned to the plant allium, that forms an umbel at the top of a leafless stalk, when it is blooming. Allioideae is the name of a subfamily of monocot flowering plants in the family Amaryllidaceae. The name is derived from the generic name of the type genus, Allium. The wide and round capital letters are showing a nice contrast to the lower cases and giving the font a kind of female feeling. Clementine, from Okaycat, is a font designed to be expressive. First, we wanted Clementine to be uplifting, friendly and warm. Secondly, we wanted it to be familiar, but neither staid nor boring. To make Clementine more warm and friendly, 90 degree corners and cubic forms were not allowed. All straight edges are either subtly curved or lightly tapered (with the small exception of the serif foundations, to create a secure base). To add an uplifting feel, all tapering flows towards the apex of the forms and the ascenders were allowed extra rising freedom above the capital height, similar to the effect intended in the architecture of old European churches -- to point all elements gently upwards towards heaven. To keep Clementine familiar, traditional type setting shapes were used throughout the font. To avoid the usual coldness of typical typewritten fonts, all forms were opened up, calligraphic touches were introduced, and any unnecessary serif elements were omitted. The result is a look that brings a touch of nostalgia or a "retro" feel. Clementine is highly appropriate anywhere a soft and friendly feel is desired. Can work well as a body text, or as ad copy. Clementine is extended, containing the full West European diacritics & a full set of ligatures, making it suitable for multilingual environments & publications.

Alizé is a three-weight typeface inspired by the chancery italic of the 16th century. It is a high-contrast face, created with syncopations in axes and proportions and subtle irregularities that form a lively and delicate weave, suitable for setting a single word, a special expression, or a short block of prose. The family does not contain a roman, and instead promotes the italic as a primary style, a common printing convention in the 16th and 17th centuries. The italic lowercase predates inclined capitals by about twenty years, and as a nod to this typographic evolution, Alizé’s capitals, small capitals, and figures are very slightly inclined to match the energy of the lowercase. The low x-height and long ascenders and descenders, features associated with finesse and luxury, are reminiscent of the Venetian-style italic, but are further emphasised. Unlike the Venetian italic, however, Alizé has a sharp slope, giving a prominent sweep across the page (alizé is the name of trade wind). Each font of Alizé has a character set count of exceeding 700, and contains an abundance of ligatures, dynamic fractions, ornaments, and pan-European language support. They have also been manually hinted for the highest-quality display on both print and screen.

This typeface finds a perfect balance between technical excellence, careful design of letter forms for extended reading, and a measured dose of charm and personality. Its informal feel allows for successfully typesetting a wide range of applications, from magazines and fiction books to advertising and websites. Calligraphy, be it done with the broad-edge pen, brush, or other tools, has been fundamental in the development of Pollen. Its influence is clearly visible in the construction of the top serifs contrasting the curved bottom serifs and the fluid aspect of terminals and tails, such as on “g” and “r”. The shapes of the diagonal letters are based on a less formal calligraphic model, but still uses the broad edge pen. ­The letters were then subject to a further process of pencil drawing and digital re-interpretation, which gave them the final shape. The designs of “e” and “c” are derived from drawings made with only one continuous line, with the pencil always touching the paper. The letters “g” and “y” express the intention to bring informal elements to a typeface intended for long text reading, usually characteristic of casual writing.
