Road Picture JNL was modeled after the hand lettered title and credits for the 1940 Bob Hope-Bing Crosby semi-musical comedy “Road to Singapore”, and is available in both regular and oblique versions. Although the lettering design doesn’t resemble anything that was probably used in Singapore at the time, its faux “exotic” look still makes for an interesting revival. Bob Hope and Bing Crosby made a total of seven “road” pictures, hence the homage in the name of this type font.

Amitale (A-mi-tah'-lay) is the union of Amitale Book and Amitale Wide into a new 8-font book family in my continuing objective of designing a better font family for readability in booklets. My goal here is for a full range of styles from light, regular, bold, and black without the plugged counters and clunky feel of most bold fonts. In my use, personally. I do not use Amitale Book Bold. I use Wide for the bold and Wide-Bold for the black style. In many ways, Amitale is Brinar with bracketed serifs. Many people find Brinar to be an exceptionally readable and beautiful humanist sans. This new serif font family has many of the same characteristics. This is also the debut of my new OpenType features set for 2009. There are more and more ligatures for your fun and enjoyment: bb gg ff fi fl ffi ffl ffy fj ft tt ty Wh Th and more. Ye-As-Ta is a unique interpretation of traditional brush drawn oriental calligraphy. A caps only font, the characters type English style left to right but appear laid on their side. When the text box is rotated 90 degrees clockwise the text reads top right to bottom left, oriental style. A fun typeface, though reading can require a little practice!

Gamboge is a deep saffron to mustard yellow pigment which is extracted from a tree. Its name comes from gambogium, the latin word for the pigment. Gambogia font is a beautiful all caps typeface with a pre-war feeling to it. Upper and lower case differ and can be mixed freely. Use Gamboge for your product packaging, book covers and websites.
