In the year 1528 Pierre Attaignant led a revolution in music printing. His method of once-press moveable type, greatly simplifying the original 3 impression process developed by Petrucci, remained in use till near the end of the 17th century. The method could only realize one line of music per staff, and the introduction of barlines as a common means of aligning multiple staves brought this method to a close after nearly two centuries of use. This font is meant to allow the printing of music using that method with the notation of that era. It is largely based on an exemplar printed by Snodham of London.

I finally designed this simplified brush style script after years of frustration trying to find a font that can fit a need for short descriptors especially for packaging design. While this script does not replace custom script, it comes close - it even includes the underscore as in the sample type.

A hundred-year-old offering from Bauer & Company, named simply "Manuscript," provided the inspiration for this elegant script face. The name translates as Bavaria Handwriting.

Lindisfarne Nova is an uncial-like design based on the script found in the Lindisfarne Gospels. Created by Harry Pears and Margaret Layson, it is available in two weights, regular and bold. While Walking along the shore of our Main Port to Europe in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, my 14 year old son Jules first hardly dared to step in the mud for he was wearing his brand new sneakers. Concentrating in where he put his feet, he noticed he made a character! The FootPrint-Regular was born! The FootPrint-Regular is a powerful header-typeface, but funny enough it's usable as small copy too! Blaze your Trail! Anything you can imagine on Police investigations, Bloodhound Thrillers, Trails, Tracks and Traces, anything about Outdoor Stores, Tracking or even maybe Pedestrian Clubs, or things like Survival Sports, Walking Events or Hiking Gear; Blaze'm your FootPrint-Regular Trail on all Banners, Blimps, Ads and Doormats!

When Baka and Baka Too did very well commercially (Baka was named the Best Cursive Rough Script in 2005), I shied away from doing rough, handwritten scripts in fear as being seen as a one-trick-pony. A few years have passed and some early sumi-e brush ‘doodles’ kept appealing to me. I initially thought this new font would just fall under the Baka mantle and just become a new sibling, but as brush hit paper over and over again, the letters took on a different personality from Baka. This new font was turning out to be far more expressive, smooth and rough, tasty but sticky. This dichotomy demanded a new name. The rough and smooth texture suggested the name Fugu—oddly delicate while rough and functional.

Flows is a gentle lightly connected letter script. This beautiful design brings a peaceful look to all communications. Flows is a multilingual font appropriate for publishing to international environments.

King15 is a beautiful script font based on signatures dated back from hundreds of years. Its asymmetry and ink imperfections give it a strong and a truly unique character.

Eldwin is a connected script type family with a friendly demeanour. With two styles of Script and Capitals, they combine playfulness with functionality, which allows it to perform best in display and headline situations. The inspiration for Eldwin was drawn from traditional Italian and American sign paintings. Details include six weights in two styles, 526 characters per Script font and 431 characters per Capitals font. Opentype features consist of stylistic alternates, ligatures, fractions, arrows and language support covering Western, South and Central Europe, and Cyrillic.

Yasuragi means ‘Peace of Mind’ or ‘Tranquility’ in Japanese. It is something I do not have a lot of since the corona lockdown…the ;-) Yasuragi is a handmade script font. It is quite neat, quite elegant and quite useful (in a tranquil, peace-of-mind kinda way). Yasuragi comes with double letter ligatures and all the diacritics you want.

Squickt was the first script I designed. The name is an atrocity, I don't remember what was on my mind, when I decided on that name, but after 25 years it is to late to change, so I have to stick with it. I have recently gone over the script and changed a little stroke here, a curve there and I added Small-Caps. The font is very useful for all kinds of signs, that have to look spontaneous.
