Monoline Script font was designed for the Monotype Corporation in 1933. A medium-weight script, it has lowercase letters that are very close together and a profusion of loops in the ascenders. There are many sans serif typefaces with calligraphic tendencies, but Suomi Sans is different: the outside forms are fairly basic, fairly narrow sans serif style, but the counter forms have a strong calligraphic flair with accented upper left and lower right hand corners. With six weights in Roman and italic, Suomi Sans works well for both headline and text use.

Vikings or Norses are Scandinavian pirate and merchant tribes. Actually, "Viking" or "Nors" is not a nation name; It is the name given to Dans, Norwegians, Swedes and other Scandinavians regardless of who they are. At first glance, the lettering style of Technopen JNL seems to emulate the computer-age fonts of the 1980s. In actuality, this font is derived from an alphabet sample found in an instructional booklet for the Esterbrook Drawlet Pens. The Drawlet line was Esterbrook's answer to the iconic Speedball pen points sold through their chief competitor, the Hunt Pen Manufacturing Company. So, what seems to be late 20th Century typography is actually from vintage source material. In fact, the entire contents of the instructional booklet were copyright 1929! A few minor changes were made to the original A-Z alphabet and additional characters were added. The name Technopen is a shortening of the term 'technical pen', which is both a nod to the techno age of the 80s and the technical instruments of the past utilized for drawing and lettering.

This font has 2 styles in one keyboard layout! There is a solid style, and an outline style. The capital letters match the small-case. The capitals are all solid letters, while the small-case are the same, but an outline version. Same with your numbers, there is 2 styles (Outlined hollow numbers, or press shift and a number to get it's matching solid version). Common punctuation marks, brackets, etc., are included too, in both styles (There's even a hexagonal euro and dollar sign). To make these characters easier to find, repeats are spread throughout your alternate keys. The two styles can be used together, nicely complimenting each other. Hive Mind is NOT appropriate for important business presentations, lengthy novels, or anything you want to be an easy read.
