Satsuma. It used to be only a Japanese orange, but now it's a typeface as well. A rather unusual typeface. Satsuma is rough around the edges, squarish and playful. Black Bamboo is a beautiful plant. My father in law, who recently passed away, loved it and had a prized specimen growing in his garden. This font was named in his honour. Black Bamboo font is a bold typeface, created using a good brush and quality paint. It is all caps, but upper and lower case differ and can be freely interchanged. After I created my font Montello, I decided to continue with the classic connected font look. Meet Panettone. I designed this font because it didn't exist - it’s based on hand rendered type created for black and white line marker scamps used in the advertising industry. I use it that way and it’s saved me a LOT of hand-rendering time over the years. Of course, Scamps works as an informal marker script in its own right too. Piano Keys is a musically-inspired font. It can be used for commercial as well as educational projects. In other versions, I tried to accurately replicate the pattern of black and white keys across the character set. Of course when used, the randomness of text and characters often produced less than realistic results when needed. This version allows black and white keys to be accurately arranged, if desired.

The concept of the typeface Corner is based on variation of corner shapes in font characters, from what is also its name derived. The basis is a bitmap modular principle, to which by simple addition of “the missing pixels” in corners of the characters ( Corner A ) to the shape of diagonal ( Corner B ), curvature (Corner C), or inversion curvature ( Corner D ), three more font variations are created. The basic monolinear bitmap weight is supplemented by two more extreme thicknesses – hairline and fat weight. The character set supports the complete Latin, while the x-height of lowercase is drawn at the same height as in the uppercase characters. Hand-drawn by an architectural renderer's daughter, Plinth is an craftsman-inspired font that leaves a strong and lasting impression. Both capital and lowercase letters have been designed for impacting display, but are also easily read in large blocks of text. Plinth includes multi-language support as well as a variety of OpenType features including decorative alternate caps, double-letter ligatures, complete fractions, currency figures, and 4 stylistic sets. Set One replaces commonly used titles (Mr., Mrs., Miss, Ms., and Dr.) with complementary hand-drawn versions. Set Two replaces 8 commonly used prepositions (and, the, to, to the, or, of, for and at) with complementary wordforms. Set Three seats counting contractions (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) in their proper superscript place. And Set Four provides a fancy alternate of both ampersand and asterisk. Plinth is perfect for the designer, architect or orderly list-maker in all of us.

Neuron Angled is based in the idea of Neuron, the original font designed in 2012 by Corradine Fonts' team, keeping from its predecessor the proportions and slight narrowness. In this version the rounded edges are replaced by sharp contours and flat endings. A broader typographic system is proposed in Neuron Angled to obtain a versatile and modern typeface without missing its original distinctive style. The neutral aspect of the family allows its application in a wide range of projects specially in those related with branding, signage and editorial design. The Neuron Angled family consists of four styles with eight weights each one, for a total of thirty two fonts. The different fonts of the family are not just complementary to each other, but can be used to complement the original version of Neuron. Its wide character map provides coverage for Western European, Eastern European and Cyrillic scripts.

Robofan is a vintage Open Type font based on the logo of reconfigurable robots (toys and characters) from the mid 1980s. The typeface was conceived when looking at the author’s own collection of Transformers, he noticed many basic drawing and spacing problems, missing characters, incorrect accent shapes and a lack of proper rhythm in the typeface used in the newest toy’s packaging, mistakes that didn't happen in the toys back in the 80s. These mistakes were so evident that the author decided to look back at the original lettering from the 80s to capture the original spirit of the Transformers. Robofan contains true small caps and has full support for Cyrillic scripts and Central European languages. The full character set consists of more than 700 glyphs. Robofan is ideal for computer & video games, merchandising and all kinds of products related to science fiction, robots, cyborgs, aliens and everything else.

Galix is a technical sans designed to look futuristic without any of the retro appearance often found in this genre. It has a squarish, slightly condensed anatomy, and is characterized by thin joints and deep ink traps that add a sparkle to the otherwise monoline typeface. In the italic styles, these cuts are accentuated even more which creates a feeling of speed in the letterforms. Galix is optimized for display typography (the ascender height is the same as the cap height, and the spacing is somewhat tight) but the middle weights are very readable at smaller sizes, where I'd recommend adding a little tracking. OpenType features include ft and tt ligatures, stylistic sets/alternates, automatic fractions, tabular, superscript and subscript figures, case sensitive forms. Perfect for websites, apps, infographics, magazines and logotypes, Galix is technical but with a warmth and personality that is often missing from this genre.

I am a HUGE fan of Bernard Cornwell’s ‘The Saxon Stories’. Ever since a television series has been made, the series of books is also know as ‘The Last Kingdom’. I have read them all, at break-neck speed and I can’t wait for the next book!! Wintanceastre (Winchester) is based on a 10th century Latin manuscript. I have tried to stay close to the original letters, but since Latin does not have all modern glyphs, I found myself designing the missing ones. So, before you scold me for having made a font that is historically inaccurate: it was never meant to be an exact replica, nor would anyone want an exact replica, as it would be useless for modern texts and designs. Wintanceastre comes with a whole bunch of ligatures and alternate glyphs. Use it for any design that needs a little ‘Dark Ages’ look!

Mattius Rossy is a handwritten font suitable for branding, signatures, wedding invitations, promotions, product packaging and other necessities. This font is modern, simple, but still authentic. You will get a full set of lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers and punctuation marks, multilingual symbols, ligatures, dashes, and swashes. This is tutorial to use ligature and swash : To use swash you can type a + underscore + underscore ( a_ _ ) without space. this only applies up to ( j_ _ ) for ligatures available only ( ee, ff, ll, oo, rr, ss, tt ).
